Peter Obi is just in a class of his own, matching words with actions; not just mere rhetoric. Ethnic and religious bigotry won't allow Nigeria have someone like him in as the President. Nigerian needs this man seriously, he demonstrated all he said here as governor, and the records are there to show.

He said the difference between Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey and Nigeria is saving. Not true. The difference is infrastructure and its impact on productive capability. Mexico has power generation capacity of 54 GW, Indonesia 57 GW, Turkey 74 GW, Nigeria less than 6 GW. Mexico exports $300 billion worth of product, Indonesia $144 billion, Turkey $150 billion while Nigeria is a mono economy exporting mostly crude oil and gas worth $50 billion per year.
Nigeria needs to invest in production not consumption and this means doing what Mexico, China, Indonesia have done in the area of creating industrial zones. This should not be done based on ethnic consideration but economic advantages. Apart from the Lagos-Ota-Ibadan axis, places like Aba-Port Harcourt, Onitsha-Nnewi, Calabar, Kano-Zaria-Kaduna are areas where industrial developments should be focused.

see how you confidently said not true. In economics savings equal investment. The other countries you are looking at have savings enough to create a strong exchange rate policy which further attracts foreign investment and local investment.

You need to go back and read your economics book. Savings is not necessarily equal to investment. The highest savers in the world are the Japanese but investment there is at an all-time low. The Americans do not save yet attract a lot of foreign investment.
The lesson Obi is conveying is less about investment but about the importance of saving for fiscal stability as has been advocated by the World Bank and people like Okonjo-Iweala and Oby Ezekwesili since the Obasanjo administration. For example had Nigeria saved just a fraction of its estimated earnings from oil of around $400 billion since 1999 then it would have the firepower to stabilize the exchange rate, keep interest rates and inflation low and maintain expenditure on critical social services (education, health, etc.) and foreign investment. This is what Algeria on the African continent did. They built reserves to over $150 billion and rode out the collapse in oil prices. Their inflation in 2015 and 2016 was 4-6 percent while Nigeria's was over 18%. Their GDP growth rate was 3.8% in 2015 and 3.9% in 2016 while Nigeria's fell into negative territory.
Obi at least practiced what he preached this because as Governor of Anambra state he did not go on a spending spree like three quarters of Nigerian governors. While Rotimi Amaechi who was against excess crude account was building a white elephant rail line to nowhere in Port Harcourt, Anambra under him guarded its expenditure tightly and made maximum use of development aid focusing on the basics (health, education, rural roads). Today Anambra is fiscally stable while other states of the federation are running to the FGN for a bailout to pay salaries of all the new idle civil servants they hired during the boom times.

It's July 2023, and I'm here to tell you all that if Nigeria misses OBI in 2023, Nigeria is finished.
So far, Tinubu is cluelessly doing nonsense.
Watch this video again, and. you will know that it is OBI that NIgeria needs.
    Dear Nigerian Judiciary,
Please do the right thing. Tinubu must be disqualified. Peter OBI won the 2023 election
    Thank you!
