tbh I think like half-way through the song he should've said
"Want to know what I've done? I think you know. I have become... Beautiful." and then it shows what he looked like.
I feel the same way.
But it should be here(2:19) because of the cool transition it would be like. And in the original video. Once the ugly duckling reveals himself. He kills the mother 10-15 of the ugly duckling revealing him self. And since the song is almost over at 2:19. ITS PERFECT!!!

After seeing the analog I realized when the ugly ducking said "I became beautiful" he meant it by wearing his siblings feathers which unsettled me in way.
He hade to become *BEAUTIFUL.* One way or another.
He’s so good at singing. But really, no one deserves to be bullied, especially to the point of absolute insanity.

This is just my theory but…
I think the mother swan knew that she was gonna die in the end but… seeing her child, the one she turned away turned into this. Sure it was out of hatred but something inside her couldn’t bear seeing the duckling turn into this.
So in one last attempt, one last ditch effort. She asked him what happened after and what I think is that the duckling is full of rage and hate he can’t let go.
So maybe for one time, even in death. The momma can try to be a mother that be desperately needs but…. He’s too far gone, or is he?
Well, every story has to have a end. But also a beginning
