RIP VHS Player
he for sure served a good life
VHS is still a thing?
Time for the DVD/TV combo
@@CollideFan1 Oh yeah it's got a pretty good market right now. Collectors going crazy for them the last couple years
Trying to record upcoming shows through the TV guide, before dishnetwork and direct TV were a thing
"Thou shall get sidetracked by bullshit every god damn time" Nothing more to say your Honor.

@@vinsanity40k Ummm, they don't exist? Right? Hmmm...
Only us Fallout fans can truly appreciate The Ghoul's golden rule.
Shalt, not shall.

@@CollideFan1 No it doesn’t
Your Technical Difficulties placard fits perfectly into the vibe of Fallout.
that's probably intentional
9:52 not your fault kiddos, it was just the VCR's time (RIP)
Time to get a Radiation King!
Legit got a flashback of when I use to interrupt my parents and legit didn’t want too lol
Their to cute! 🙂
What is Radiation King a reference to? Old Radionette radios, or something else?
@@gottagowork Fallout TV brand I think
@@Scimarad I mean just like Cram is a reference to real life Spam, what real life brand is Radiation King a reference to? Cultural references lists Simpson, but it also wrongly refers to bein an original reference to the TV show. Name is clearly visible on the TV in your own home in Fallout4 (just checked, pre and post war versions), and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in prior games.
Really glad the kids didn't walk in 60 seconds later in the episode.
There is a weird sort of irony to the kids VHS breaking while you're watching fallout.
The best thing about the Ghouls make up is that you can still see Walton Goggins expressions pretty clearly.
In the Fallout Universe, food preservation is pretty much perfected 😂!
"Food" preservation.
@@beardedgeek973 getting some Food paste vibes from your comment.
My favorite part of this channel is when the kids come in 😂😂😂 the audience clapping is hilarious and wholesome
"What if we, in the 2020s, looked like we're in the 1920s?"
Well, we Italians had a fascist parade in the streets of Milan, this year.
So we're definitely ahead of the curve on that front. 😅
And by "ahead", I mean a century behind. 😔
You guys are evolving, just backwards
You're not alone, other countries making a centennial loop.😢
Fallout is the universe. Each game is just a story from different locations within the universe and its time-line.
Also, ghouls are fueled by radiation. However, not every irradiated individual survives to become a ghoul. As long the ghoul(s) are in an irradiated environment they're in a continuous state of self healing.

Coop’s not wrong, lavender flavored candies are just godawful.
They always taste like soap
Your kids coming in always makes me laugh
There is another dystopian comment buried in the preserved food: it is so full with god knows what that even out in the wastes you can find cans of "cram" or "deviled eggs" that are as perfect as they were >200 years ago. Just like almost no companies in the games have modern day safety or pollution standards (at least not in the games, we don't know about the series yet).
In surprised they never parodied McDonalds as being a giant evil corporation in the games with burgers you can fi d that are still "edible" but I guess they stopped at Parody for Coka Cola company which was pretty good still
I like how they chose deviled eggs as a popular vault food. Someone definitely thought about what would be the best awful idea.
"He's good with a toilet seat." It's hilarious but also accurate. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your kids coming in. Love the fact you don't cut it or get mad. They got you a sub.
Somewhere there is my old broken VCR with my favorite movie as a teen chewed up in it, Hannah and Her Three Blisters.
Blocks radiation? .............. yeah, about 5%.
Literally 😂
I can never get through a town without finding some deviled eggs in rubble, and somehow they're always fresh.
21:52 Call back to the 1st game, you had to leave the vault because the Water chip was broken.
The best part of y'alls videos is when little ones come in!!! Love it!!!
Not only are the post credits different every time, they all foreshadow a location used in each following episode.
That thing on her wrist is called a pip boy 👍🏻
26:54 post credit stuff secretly tells you what next episode wil be about
When you go "Fishin' with friends" in the Wasteland... you REALLY go "Fishin' with Friends"
Axolotl = MEX-walking fish!
“You get sidetracked by side quests all the time in Fallout.”
The sad truth is that you also get sidetracked by side quests in life.
Not so much a spoiler, just some context only known via diving into the games and learning a bunch of the lore so feel free to not "Read more" if you so choose.
But the neat thing about Fallout is that a vast majority of every creature/monster seen is a based on real life animals or people, just a highly mutated version (the ghoul obviously being a mutated human, which is why they have vastly extended lifespans compared to non-ghouls)
Sometimes even a combination of both, like the Axolotl kinda seems to be with the human-like hands and all the fingers in its mouth.
So it's always cool seeing something and trying to figure out what exactly it is.
There is some of the more fantastical/supernatural/mythical present in the Wasteland, just a lot more rare to see.
Edit: typo
Also, bit of Fallout lore. Many of the wasteland critters aren't 'natural' mutations. Particularly the big nasties.
😂 your kids are adorable ' the Mrs face when the head popped was great 🍻
Let there be "Side Quest".
Knows a "Nameless Thief".
Not personally... You get the joke...
Another settlement needs our help
"She didn't even put it in the bag.." That's the same thing I thought when I saw it.
Remember what the guy said when waking Coop up - that the bounty was going to someone he wanted to meet up with.
Hard to have a favorite, but I seem to gravitate to Lucy's story line with her brother's - Norm - as a very close second. It wasn't until episode 5 that I start getting into Coop's and Maxumis' story lines
My favorite line of season 1 right at start of episode. Side missions always get you. The gulper died because of the drugs it took in, you see it's body react, eyes dilated.
17:50 The plot armor is strong with this one.
How old was that VCR combo?! Are VCRs still in production? And I'm genuinely curious as to what old video keeps those kiddies attention!
Most of the vault dwellers are beyond nieve
It's an "Axo-lot-MORE-L"
she needed a hat box for that head...
Getting his ass kicked is a skill set too - sometimes all you need to win is to be able to take a beating.
Dang I’ve never thought of gulpers as axlotls but they do look like them
LOL Always funny to see "Childus Interruptus" . . . Better during filming a reaction video than . . .
It turned it's stomach inside out. And it's because of the finger grip. *Shudder*
The squire and ghoul both signed up for the bloody mess perk.
A gulper is what salamanders mutated into
Combined with.....
Ghouls have a very long life span as a result of the radiation in the wasteland, a good portion of them being pre-war humans changed as a result of them not being allowed into vaults or fallout bunkers. Post-war humans can become ghouls as well but it takes a very high amount of radiation. No one knows if they stop aging entirely or if they just age very slowly. This is because the Fallout universe doesnt have a long enough timeline to see a ghoul die of old age, but the oldest ones tend to turn feral before they have the chance anyway. Feral ghouls are basically just zombies. I guess the real question would be "how long can a feral ghoul live?"
I would love if we went back to dressing like we were in the rolling 1920s. That was classy
Mrs Movies @4:44 "she got the head off, good for her"... that's what she said
Them armored suits are bad ass
The reason he looks like the vault guy giving a thumbs up is because they're hinting at that actually being him 😂 and that vault-tec ran away with his idea, built their whole brand on it, and he probably got fked over in return.
Now I'm wondering if dentists just have a huge pile of wisdom teeth stacked away in case of the end of the world?
Like, it's just one big conspiracy concocted by dentists that we need to have them pulled.
does Stephanie the one eyed blond remind you of the pip girl?
Yes, with the black widow perk
I was thinking Nuka Girl
Glad you both enjoy the show so far, can't wait for your next week reaction!
The Yum Yum deviled eggs are specially preserved. Not sure how, but they last stored for hundreds of years.
I love the music in this show! I even bought Crawlout Through the Fallout (by Sheldon Allman) for my iPod (yes, I still use one) . . .
Sounds like your kids are overdue for a dvd player lol
episodes get way better after this
I imagine those Yum Yum Brand Deviled Eggs are just chock full of preservatives.
Your oldest has a fare less scary room entry, then the youngest. Whom just appears out of nowhere hehe. No matter how cute kids you got, they all have a creepy scary period, where they're silent and just stares at you or get right up close and yell loudly in your ear.
Kids having real technical difficulties.
Maximus recovered the armor and he said to Tidus that the Brotherhood won't care if he recovers the target.
Oh god, now you've called him Tidus I can't help but imagine the protagonist of Final Fantasy X inside that suit!
9:54 R.I.P. VCR
Wow your daughter is much more communicative than the last time she interrupted 👍😄 I realize more often than not it's the little one who's still got a ways to go verbally but older sibling has got full sentences and grammar down which I don't think she did last time she spoke up. Pretty soon you'll have two little talkers running around busting up the show 😆
RIP to what has to be one of the last VCRs out there. They're not extinct yet but we're witnessing it happen in realtime now 🧐
Commiserations on your vhs player 😢
Never played any of the fallout games, but this show is awesome 👍🏽
Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of the story
Have y'all ever watched/reacted to either "killing Eve" or "fleabag".
They're both written by Phoebe weller-bridge (?) - who's a great actor and writer of dark comedy, mystery and drama (IMO)
British comedy/drama and spy/political thriller/horror
😃👍
6:58 Big Han Solo Energy
I can't be the only one who thinks Vault Boy looks like TinTin.
Ehmm, in Eastern Europe it IS the early 1920s. Very much so. Including intervention from the West.
I wish I kept my vcr and vhs tapes
VHS?
Do they know how many retro collectors are looking for those?
Are they IN the Fallout universe in their state?
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
that ghost busters shirt can stay 😂
They are so cute!
Can't wait for next one.
Omg giving your kids a VCR tv combo is genius!!! It keeps vhs alive and they never run out of films since you’re a collector…brilliant future parents vhs tv combos
ah, they are so cute! :) that's your side quest right there...
Looks like the Ghoul has some hate towards Vault-tec since he wasted valuable ammo to blow the face off the billboard. Lucy is getting some harsh lessons on how the real world is, in a cruel way The Ghoul is teaching her that. She's lucky because there could be far worse people than him that could be holding her prisoner. I like the Ghoul, I found him interesting the moment they released the first trailer. I've always liked fallen/broken characters. He is the way he is for reasons...
the ghoul needs his rad vials..
I prefer the Buck Owens cover of Act Naturally.
This was cool
A contrast:
“Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!” Titus, running from danger and abandoning his squire.
“Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!”
Maximus, running towards the Gulper to save his squire.
Only after trying to fight it....
Titus punched it a few times and with power armor did nothing to the Yao guai...
The bombs dropped in 2077. Someone has to have told you. It’s now 2296.
I'd recommend a VCR repair service i know about, but they've been stuck fixing this one old fella's VCR for the last 17 years.
Ouch, TY/VCR combo never a good purchase.
Coops nailed it - lavender taffy tastes just as bad as Parma Violets (don't know if they're a thing in the US, though!)
🖖
His name is Wilzig not Wilson.
Is/was that a CRT TV?
Lavender taffy
"They want to see that even a good man such as yourself can be driven too far sometimes!" I'm not usually a fan of this kind of cynical character development. It works in this series, though.
the water has high radiation
All of the outro scenes are different and a pre cursor for the next episode.
RIP TV/VCR combo...
Tell me someone why axolotl died?
Friendly comment: The beginning was 219 years ago, so that makes the ghoul like 260-ish years old.
So I think if I remember correctly, a gulper is a mutated salamander
Axolotl is a juvenile salamander.
Won't spoil you but it is explained later in the show.
I’d say that the name “gulper” was probably independently applied to two different creatures, on opposite coasts of North America.
@@nomenestomen3452 I’ve watched. I meant in the game rather than the show.
@@matthewconner7800 you’re not wrong. I just meant it seemed very similar to the creature In fallout 4
just so you know, for some reason i've been unsubscribed, and i didn't do it, subscription added back, was only aware of this because of King boomer letting viewers know that people have been having the same thing done wth his channel
Maximus my favorite
Ghouls just age very slowly and live as long as they keep taking the drugs, or else they go feral. You'll learn more about the gulper in a future episode.
spoilers maybe
i believe the drug helps once they start showing signs of going feral, i don't think ghouls normally need it since it wasn't a thing at all in the games before
i love your channel(s) but your kids seem mildly traumatized, and you seem very 'short' with them when they pop in. i have 3 kids 16, 13 and 7. i know yuo have to be stern but the trepidation on their faces makes me sad, try to be more patient? Do not take these ages/times for granted
What are you talking about?!? Their TV broke, they were concerned about that...
Mrs.Movies doesn't seem to be interested in this show at all. I like Mr.Movies enthusiasm though.
For some reactors they see so many shows it wears them down, with her she sees it and forgets about it after a while which Is fine it would be hard for me to be invested when I'm watching like 3 shows at once during a few days time
He has the sentimental foundation of playing the games. She doesn't.
Never once has she said she was getting jaded. Why are yall protecting on her? I'm sure if she didn't want to be there, she wouldn't. P.s. this is my favorite reaction channel. And very happy you both found something to do together.
