      Personally I can't fall asleep since I've found myself laughing or frustrated about how you're doing things. But, I'd watch another part since I enjoy watching someone discover the joy of minecraft for the first time. By the way, that's a portal to the Nether you found in the first part. It takes you to a hellscape area where you will find loot and items you will need to craft other items. Also, you missed the chest that was there. It usually has decent loot and sometimes gear. Gold gear is best to save for the Nether (one piece) so some of the residents don't attack you on sight. Also, in order to add additional obsidian to the portal, you will need a diamond pickaxe. Hope that helps.

    Been a quiet subscriber for a couple years, but I do want to say that the reason I watch your videos is because you're a yapper. I love that you take your time ramble off random tidbits of life. It's a good reminder that everything is not so serious, and that it's good to take in and appreciate the little things. A lot of people just power through games for the purpose of completing them, but you play them for the sake of enjoying every moment, and that's beautiful. It's hard to keep a sense of wonder in this world, and you've held onto yours ♥

      But I was wondering the other day. Say you get near your stuff but you can't get it because you need supplies, a pick, a sword, armor, a building block, etc, so you go far away enough to unload that chunk and get those supplies, would the 5 minutes start over when you come back and load the chunk?

    If I can offer one bit of advice, Morph, it’s don’t be afraid to check the wiki. There are game mechanics that you absolutely won’t find on your own, there just isn’t any in game way to lear them, and others are just so obscure…
    As a small example, if you choose to move into a village, build a house and put your own bed there, the villagers will see that bed and have a baby and that baby will steal your house.

    • @filinieves8983
      @filinieves8983 16 днів тому +5

      I've refused to look up anything so that I can try to figure stuff out. I have a world coming up on 1000 days and one of my main goals is to create a small civilization. One way to do is it to build houses for villagers. I have apartments coming up and it all started from me expand the village to meet with a neighboring one. i have 6 villages connected so far. I saw them start to multiply when I fed them bread and traded with them in connection with extra beds.

    Pro Tips:
    1. Build a farm. Food is life. Food is healing. Farms allow you to grow a lot of food and focus less on hunting and gathering, and more on building, mining, and exploration. To build a farm, hoe any dirt within 4 blocks of a water source, and plant seeds. Flat ground near rivers are ideal, but you can also build an iron bucket to move water blocks. (2 water blocks create an infinite water block between them.)
    2. Iron up. replace stone tools with iron tools, and build iron armor to withstand enemies. (one iron ingot and wood create a shield against bows)
    3. building with villagers can be fun and give you some semblance of civilization, as well as provide food, beds, treasures, and helpful building tips. Protect villagers from zombies who will try to kill them.
    4. ALWAYS sleep at dusk to prevent monsters from spawning. (ESPECIALLY NEAR VILLAGES)
    5. While mining, torch all dark areas. Monsters spawn in darkness, so light can keep them away. Always build a safe way down to ensure you have a way to retreat safely when things get dangerous.

  • @Sydney6799
    @Sydney6799 16 днів тому +43

    I really love this series. A trick I like using, especially in caves: I always place my torches on my left while going deeper in the mines, so when I'm doubling back I can always find the "right" way out

  • @christinelachance
    @christinelachance 17 днів тому +69

    Easy food tip: If you hit the grass, it will give you seeds. When you plant the seeds on a dirt square near water they grow wheat (I believe you can go three blocks out from the water source and they will still grow). Three wheats will make a loaf of bread on the crafting table. Don't forget your h0e!

    52:49 I'm the same way with habits. If I skip one or two sessions of the regular things I do - it's as though it never existed as a habit to begin with. Sometimes it's nice, for example when it's about a particular game obsession, but other times it's pretty bad. That's one of the main contributors to why I stopped working out after more than a full year of consistent effort. Now I just can't get back to it...

    I hope you're not forcing yourself TOO much to play this particular game. You mentioned that you didn't really know the premise/goal. It's basically: explore and build something you think is interesting. I believe the majority of us watchers are just here to hang-out with you, whatever you play, so if you don't like it (whether it does well on views or not) don't play it!
    A lot of times when I play, I find a village and really fix it up, make it all fancy like. Or perhaps make a goal of all diamond armor and tools. It's an anything-goes game and I've enjoyed your playthrough not knowing what anything really does. Hugs!

      As a person who didn’t understand Minecraft when it came out and just got into it heavy a few months ago. I highly recommend it! Wonderful game! I’ve made a smallll base in a cave. Then I made a house on top of a hill. Beautiful view over the water of the sunset and sunrise. Made a trapdoor that leads to a guest room. That room has a trapdoor that leads to a tunnel to my first base. Across the hall from the guest room is my spa. Go through my spa and down some stairs I have a huge swimming pool.
      On the other side of the swimming pool I have two spa rooms and an unfinished massage room. Decided to explore made a hut with mini wheat garden out back.
      Because of Morph I’m making a home on a mountain with a view Honda like his. It’s going to be the biggest home I’ve built yet. Spent 52 hrs in the game so far.

    20:40 - You're definitely a gem of a UA-camr. I watch a lot of genres of vídeos that vary from documentaries, conspiracy theories, cooking, horror games, and many others, and although you play a lot of different games, you still have this main core that is just talking, relaxing and truly enjoying and appreciating the moment that feels so different from that fast-paced and loud videos that are becoming more famous now. I'm not saying they are bad, everyone has a taste, but I think your videos attract some people who love to put a long video in the background for company, or who like to have long and sometimes silly conversations about a game or subject.
    I don't know where I'm going with this exactly but your videos are very cozy, funny, relaxing, and just lovely, and that reflects on your community. Everyone here is so nice and it feels like we're all friends yapping about the things we enjoy and making funny jokes.

    I get people wanting to enjoy something and not getting out of it what they wanted, and feeling the need to try to “help” the UA-camr to be “better”. But most of the time the UA-camr is doing just fine and not actually needing any “help”, they just aren’t for you.
    But what I think is really interesting is that some of my favorite UA-camrs actually annoyed me at first. I was uncomfortable with their way of producing content, be it how they talked during videos or the music or sound effects or whatever. But I stuck with them and grew to love their unique style. Maybe people need to be sitting through the discomfort of not enjoying content for a while instead of immediately leaving and finding something “for them”. Because it might just be something they aren’t used to and stretching their brains is actually important and beneficial.

    Watching your very good natured bumbling through the game is just so fun to watch. Normally noob-ish play styles are very irritating but the way you just happily and calmly go about, learning as you go is quite soothing. I love how you laugh at your 'mistakes'

    I found you through the kitchen bell reel and I have to say: what a lovely coincidence to start the year with! Love your videos (binge watching them since I’m sick at home anyway) and you just talking and figuring out the game is so relaxing to me 🫶

    Morph, I don't even like Minecraft that much, but it combined with your voice and lovely rambles is just *chef's kiss* perfect! It's quickly climbing to the top of my favorite series you've done!

    I saw this drop and got very excited, and watched it today while I had coffee and cleaned and did some work stuff. It was a real pleasure to listen to and watching you discover and re-discover the game. I do hope you continue but understand not being able to commit to series if they don't do well, but please know I loved it and am very excited to see them. Minecraft UA-cam has a lot of viewers and big community so I hope a few of them find their way over here. :)

    Really cool series. Btw if you have trouble organizing any miscellaneous items you can try to craft a bundle which is made with one string and one leather and can hold different items in it. Also the reason the villagers are cool with you sleeping in their beds and taking their items is because while they can't understand your language they know they are no match for you and try to be as accommodating as possible (yes this is confirmed lore in Minecraft)

    I have been loving watching you play Minecraft, as it's one of my favorite games! I have a few favorite moments from this video, and would love to see more! I can't wait to see if you do more of it, and figure out all the stuff you want to. Part of me can't help but want to comment all the stuff for advice on how to do things or something, but I also don't want to spoil the fun of figuring it out yourself! I hope you continue to play and post these videos, because it's so fun to see one of my favorite UA-camrs play one of my favorite games ❤

    You can make charcoal by putting coal or wood in a furnace and smelting wood. So you can make as many torches as you want. Monsters spawn in the dark so the more you light up that cave the less skeletons will spawn. I loved the video and I hope you make more. Also I watched the roots of pacha video about four or five times while falling asleep and I finally finished it. I really thought it was cool. Good luck on playing minecraft and with your channel I really enjoy your work and I'll keep tuning in

    A part 3 would be amazing! ❤️
    Loved the first 2 parts, and down to sleep.
    A great series so far, one of my fav parts (apart from the excellent commentary) is watching you problem solve and puzzle things out - love that you discovered how to make glass and stone blocks without help!
    Also, you should keep throwing chicken eggs on the ground. Just to see what happens, you know, for science!

    I’m loving this series, if you don’t want to use coordinates to get around I recommend leaving torches so you can follow them back to base. I like to put down two cobble stones in a stack with, one torch on top and another on the side pointing to home like a sign post. Also you should keep eating to fill up your food bar so your health regenerates.

    1:08:13 a shader is cool and all but like if it's your first time playing the game as it is is something I recommend
    also a side note using different block while building instead of just planks will make it looks prettier example right clicking the log and you'll get a stripped log
    You should actually find spruce wood since it's the prettiest wood in the game that's all and I'd like to see a part 3
    *Also if you don't mind I'd like to try making you a custom skin for you character ^^ also im kinda new here :)*

    Yes please more! You need to light the cave up. Monsters don’t spawn if it’s light enough, then there are lots of resources down there including diamonds (strongest material) your items despawn after 5 mins if your within the chunk. I always accept that I’ll die a bunch of times lighting up a cave. Place your bed at the entrance to your mine and cave to get back to your stuff quickly. It’s so fab seeing this game through fresh eyes, been a long time since it was new

    Starbound is a survival/open world game that gives me the “wow! What’s over here? What do you do? What does this material make?”
    It’s sort of like the forgotten 2D child of Minecraft and star wars. It has a storyline, but it’s very back seat to the main game play. There are lots of things to be discovered and quests to set out upon. There’s fishing, and hunting, and bounty, and pets, and villages… all in a quaint, beautiful 2D universe of endless terrains to explore.
    Been playing it for like 7 years and I still haven’t gotten bored of it
