Your alternate ending just summarized the plot of the show "Candide" -- the final song says "We're neither pure, nor wise, nor good. We'll do the best we know. We'll build our house and chop our wood and make our garden grow."
The ranges are a pretty neat feature if used properly. Normally, ranges in games like these are way too small, like a house that is two streets from a market complaining that it is " too far away". Here, you can extend the range to a proper distance with the + and - and let it only reach to places it must reach. But I think you need to take a little more time to use it wisely, you go through everything pretty quickly missing the benefits of this system. It may seem a little bothersome at first glance, but it is very, very useful.
Almost never say this anymore, but I have not heard of this game before! Teach me all about it! A Modest living or crush thine enemies? Option 2 likely? right-o! 3:00 three minutes in and I want that hat! 3:45 OK I love this company now, LOL! 14:20 Not sure on this but I think the stockpile collects the "ruins" resources. clearing it out 23:15 I was right! . I see range is a factor and multiple builder zones apply when out of range, as well as other building linked ranges. Why couldn't you do this work as a child? They didn't allow a Minor Miner! (I'll see myself out....)
I like that you can actually tell what these buildings are by looking at them. Some of these realistic city builders are really hard to figure out when the settlement is much bigger (which is why I like Manor Lords but don't want to buy it)
"Curse your sudden, but inevitable, betrayal!" It's nice to see a reference to a classic.
So long as there are never any leaves on any winds, all is good. Aaaaaaaall is good.
@@Bethgael The days of me not taking you serious are certainly comming to a middle.
What is this from? I don't think I remember
@@StarlasAiko Well, I do aim to misbehave. :D

i love the "Is spacebar pause". I hate it when spacebar is not pause.
Same. Except in RPGs when it's acceptable for spacebar to be jump.
@@Bethgael very true, but then escape should be pause
@@fanmrsmartdonkey Exactly!
I do like that you can specifically choose where the workshop range extends instead of a predetermined radius. It's almost like city limits.

You need to build another saw mill and change the production to fire wood.

1. you can deactivate both one of the workshops and the sawmill to have people.
2. deactivating the sawmill you'll have firewood too
Thank you for a good video!

Surprised you're playing this, despite so many negative reviews.
I thought I'd check it out. It's not bad, but not good either. There's very little that's new in terms of medieval city builder.
This game its like a mix between Anno series Settlers Stronghold and Patron Forest village and Banished
huh saw this got intrested i am going to see if this is good
Firefly reference - automatic like. Already subbed, but would have been a new one 😁
I like stork letter writing but unfortunately lost my pen
Cows look like been milked by stirrup pump
I do actually say is space bar pause lol
I do too!
Hooray for magic hammers that doesn't belong to Thor
Hey, you used the same referential title as you did with Dorfromantik! 😃
Was teetering on wanting to try this or not until I saw the combat is basically spreadsheet grid with icons... Yeah, no thanks.
The build range needs work or needs to go what a fuss
