Red Bull looks really sharp. It's going to be really interesting to see what everone's big updates will bring.
The bias is real, lance was way better today but because most people hate him for some reason, they ignore on purpose but deep down they know what happened
The Ferrari is slower than redbull on the straight even with DRS + Leclerc had 4 laps older tyres as well. Ferrari basically made a mistake not pitting Leclerc under that virtual (Gap to Sainz was 17 seconds, so would have come out in front of him), since everyone could see that SC coming.
Why oh why didn’t Ferrari change Leclerc’s tyres under VSC? The SC was obviously coming, because of the debris on the track. This was Ferrari’s only opportunity to win, as it is obvious that a Ferrari cannot overtake a RB with the same tyres. Ferrari really need to improve on strategy and pit stop times if they want to challenge RB.
It was to be expected . Sainz was always going to be stuck behind Charles at the first corner and with Max getting the faster start from the racing line , ch aces were that he would be ahead at the braking zone

??? Are you being sarcastic? The whole track is covered in walls on both sides for starters. It completely plays into the stereotype that americans race in walled off parking lots and somehow find it fun. It reeked of the Detroit or Las Vegas GP from back in the day. Those are known as the worst tracks f1 ever raced in
Russell and Ocon this race were my favorites, That unfortunate crash of Lando/Pierre did open the race up to more excitement and I was on the edge of my seat in the last 12 laps or so. I know that F1 is not so well known in America. It totally different to Indycar and is as much a competition between the car companies to build the best car. As it is between the drivers. Each year the teams are given a "formula" which is a list of rules, regarding what they can and can't do, when it comes to designing a car for the new season. This rules may change completely from time to time, in order to encourage innovation and developing new technology. The teams like Mercedes and Ferrari etc then spend outrageous amounts of money (hundreds of millions) designing a car for the new season. So every car on the grid is a lot different. Next year there will be a new race in Vegas, so you now have 3 races in the USA plus one in Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Checo lost 20kw during the race and managed to stay 4th throughout. With fresh medium and 14-15 laps to go, he could've definitely finished podium. Tough luck for the champ.
So by applying same logic, that crashstappens fanboys use against Lewis, it is just the car.. You simply dont become the fastest during one summer break.
Close to 300,000 passed thru the gates Friday to Sunday. I've been to many f1 races but this one was the best one yet. I'm disappointed it wasn't downtown on the streets but in the hood, but with that said the promoters did a 1st class job. I mean we had Indy racing in downtown Miami and it was epic. I think the best downtown race in Miami was the 1990 superbike race. I paid over 1500 for all 3 days for the Miami GP, and it was worth every penny. I wish I could have seen Martin Brundle on the grounds, but now I'm hearing all about it. The man is a living treasure.
Some people really hate DRS, but I remember when Formula 1 was just a high speed parade. Max made his first pass without DRS. Then, the pass for the lead with the DRS still required excellent car control.
problem with drs is that its three options. either the cars are quite similiar fast. In those cases drs can help with encouraging great battles. at least when it comes to 1 on 1 battles. If you have a much faster car, drs is just an push to overtake button, which is quite boring (Remember Hamilton in the Brazil sprint race last year?) Slower Cars arent able to defend, which is sad, since it reduces the opportunities to get great results for backmarker teams. And than you have those DRS trains, in which no on can overtake. Those are bad too, since they destroy the opportunity for great and entertaining racing. So in general, I personally think, that they should try something else with it. I have read comments (not sure. by whom) which mentioned they should try a different usage of DRS, in which all drivers get an maximum amount of how many times they are allowed to use it. Than they are allowed to use it for defending too, so its their choice to use it for attacking or for defending. It would become a bigger strategical element with that kind of usage, so maybe its worth a try.
Gutted for Perez. Could of perhaps won the race or gotten P2 on fresh mediums without his power issues THROUGHOUT the race. Horner said after the race they didn't ''fix'' the power loss completely after it first appeared, they could only stabilize his engine issues but he still had a power deficit of around 30 HP (losing around 4 tenths per lap).
feel for him as well but more than that, max getting p1 with a ferrari p2 p3 isnt enough to win the constructors, perez really needs to start pushing out some 3rd and 2nd place finishes, if no one has anymore DNFs then he needs to really push for every point, imo max will overtake charle in the WDC but its down to perez to bring the constructors

It's his 5th race back. But he's extremely talented that's for sure. But you don't have to change teams to do better. Williams has alot of pedigree theyve just been in a slump. They finished 3rd just a few yrs ago. They'll be back. Albono should just do a Russell. Beat his team mates every quali and every race for 48 races.

Engineer to Alonso: "Strategy H. Strategy H. Go hit them all"
Some people really hate DRS, but I remember when Formula 1 was just a high speed parade. Max made his first pass without DRS. Then, the pass for the lead with the DRS still required excellent car control.
Lewis made half of his overtakes without DRS as well
Shows the Rocketship Max has...
problem with drs is that its three options.
either the cars are quite similiar fast. In those cases drs can help with encouraging great battles. at least when it comes to 1 on 1 battles.
If you have a much faster car, drs is just an push to overtake button, which is quite boring (Remember Hamilton in the Brazil sprint race last year?)
Slower Cars arent able to defend, which is sad, since it reduces the opportunities to get great results for backmarker teams.
