I bought these lights from a Facebook ad for my garden. I do want more, so good to know HSN has them. Anxious to hear what you say about the ones you bought. Mine work great at night, and look good. They are cheap looking during the day but I have nothing to compare them to.

OK thanks for info - I hadn’t seen the other comments. As far as Temu goes they seem like copies of products where the originators have put money, design and time into producing quality products. To just rip off others designs with cheaply sourced materials and poorly paid workers just seems wrong on so many levels. I often wonder if it isn’t a way to launder money and sell credit card info to other nefarious entities.
I hope everyone recognizes 90% of amazon store merchandise is made through factories in CHINA, lately i have realized 90% of online stores are made in underpaid factor❤
The same goes for 1 dollar stores, Walmart,etc etc ..TEMU is a online dollar store, Walmart,target etc etc
So where do you shop? Even our local Mom And Pop stores carry Made In China or made in Asia items.
Just about all your discount stores&Amazon are buying from the same places&charges different prices All product TJs marsh&even walmart must lable made in-Pakistan very familiar also

The difference in products from China sold in stores is that many imported items require that a tariff is paid on the import. It doesn’t change the forced labor situation, but it does help give US manufacturers some equality.
You spoke my thoughts about TEMU about Labor conditions I try to go to thrift stores ,garage sales and estate sales to cut back on my buying new from China. I can find too many lovely items at these locations that keep me from needing to go to box and chain stores. Advertising make us “want” so much more that we really don’t “need” I think about our garbage disposal sites! Seriously a major problem. BTY… I love shopping too but…my conscience 🤷♀️
I agree. Anyone who's ever walked into a consignment or thrift store knows the wonderful items you can find there. Some even new with tags! Our planet doesn't need more fast fashion ending up in landfills. Just my humble opinion.

I love thrift store and much rather shop them also but ordering online is so convenient for young mothers or people that are home bound for some reason or another. I’ve seen the exact same thing on Temu as Amazon for far less. Maybe if we keep shopping at places like Temu, the US will quit charging us an arm and a leg for everything!
I love the thrift stores. Have found so many items good brand names. Just bring them home and clean them thoroughly. That is where you save your money.

I read labels and product information like crazy to try and buy from the States. Sometimes it’s impossible but I try my best. It’s disheartening.
I echo Michelle's concern about our environment and purchasing gently used items from consignment stores, thrift shops, etc. In fact, most of us probably have a lot in our own closets or drawers that we need to revisit and re-style.

Temu and Shien. Do NOT pay entrance taxes to our country. They are exempt!
As a senior citizen , things in the USA costs have gone out of sight. Even Goodwill, Thrift stores are getting why out of sight. Need to cut cost somewhere. Sorry that’s the way it is today.
I live in UK Pattie and I try my upmost not to buy anything made in China on principle. Sometimes it is not possible but I always look to see where it is made. The rest of the world are making China rich. They have nuclear weapons and one day they will not think twice about using them. I believe in trying to buy home made produce if possible. I know it is much more expensive but I try to give our own people jobs.

I am angry because someone got hold of my debit card and used it on Temu. I have no idea how, but they charged $135. It's been a month and Temu still won't give it back. I had to get a new card, of course. I had it in my possession all the time and have never even been on their website. You make a good point about China. What makes me mad is because we even get most of our drugs for prescriptions from there. We need to make our own here in the USA so we won't have to depend on China!!!
Your debit card bank should refund that fraudulent charge. My debit card was stolen (along with the wallet) and 3 charges made using it before I realized it and cancelled it, and all refunded. The bank said without the pin it can still be used as a credit card. Of course, another card with new number was issued to me. Ive also had my visa credit card number used without the actual card being stolen, and those charges were all reversed when I contacted my credit card company. Our numbers are out there online at times because of leaks from various companies that have occurred. It's been in the news very often.
I think it’s the bank you need to talk to.
The USA owes China so much darn money, it is unreal. We will never be able to ''break up'' with them. I'm sorry you were taken advantage of, and were the victim of thievery.
I would talk to my bank for sure...this has happened to me with other websites. Recently my daughter's identity was stolen and it's been a nightmare! patti
FYI...I did what you suggested ...I ordered a few things to see. Their products are not great quality from my experience. A top I bought the sewing was just bad and the fabric was cheap. Unless you are buying little things...hair clips were pretty but otherwise I don't think I will buy again.
Thank you for brining the unaccaptable conditions under which people in other areas have to work into your dialogue. And ,as you point out, this is a fact not only for TEMU but many stores (online and other) also. Money, power, greed are the downfall for any society - and we are asked to live our lives loving our neighbor. So, unless we can demand (through the pocket book) changes in working conditions for ALL, we need to change our habits.
I’m very fed up with China and it’s tentacles reaching into everything. Putting that aside, the one thing I didn’t like was the sunflower earrings and necklace. The rest weren’t too bad. I liked the broach a lot! You look beautiful by the way but you always do💕👼🏻
I am very careful about where I use my debit card and I certainly wouldn’t feel safe using it with Temu. I don’t need anything they have to offer that’s worth taking a chance with my identity or money. Thanks for the heads-up. This is the first I’ve heard of this business.
I use PayPal, so not a problem.
I purchase prepaid gift cards to use with TEMU, and other sites. It's safe and also gives me a spending limit. Never use a Debit card online.
I buy heaps of Temu I mean heaps such amazing value and NEVER had a problem - I do not work for Temu or anywhere else just letting you know they're safe !
I knew it was a company in China, so I knew then I would never order from them no matter how inexpensive these products are.
I would love to find more American companies. I feel like everything is made in China. Amazon, SHEIN, Zulily, a lot of the stuff on eBay. Almost all of our appliances. Our phones. It’s disturbing. I wish it was easier to find items actually made in America :-(
Patti - Happy Mother's Day! Much respect for the way you explain your decision making process. I believe that is one of the many reasons you appeal to so many people - you are genuine, approachable, kind, non-judgmental, gorgeous ... and so much more. You could easily wear the last set of jewelry you wore in the video to dinner on a cruise and be fabulous! I never take my best jewelry on cruises, it's just too risky. (The safes in the cabins and hotels are easily hacked and of course Maintenance staff have a bypass code.) In a previous video you discussed your toothbrush and included a link. I ordered it and it is everything you said and more, my teeth feel like I had a professional cleaning. Your stamp-of-approval was well-deserved. I also ordered earrings you wore from JTV. They are not diamonds but they are gorgeous! Thank you for your honesty, integrity and for sharing your journey.

I seen a documentary about the shein factories in China and I will never buy from them again. The staff work horrendous hours 6 days week and the conditions are sad!!! It opened my eyes and never again.

Have ya'll heard.. some news outlets have mentioned / warning shopping with Temu. Some of the people are now having serious bank accounts issues along & with their personal information being stolen & misused. Its a scary situation now days.
In a major dept store yesterday, saw a blouse that was $69.99, identical to the $5.00 one I was wearing from Temu.
True for me with a number of things. Designers and high end stores buy their stuff, unlabeled, from factories in China and put their labels in them. They do it all the time.

I am so glad you posted this video! SHEIN is another one that exploits their labor force for the benefit of western societies! Women in Central and South America plantations are similarly exploited (allowed only two bathroom breaks a day) so we may enjoy flowers, fruits and vegetables off season, all year long.
Exactly! I would never help Shein do to this citizens the same thing I’ve come to know about Temu. These places are counting on our desire for low prices. In these cases there is a ‘ high price’ to pay for their strangely low prices. 👍

I don't think folks really understand the issue fully. Just because a retailer is charging you a higher price for something does not mean that their suppliers have any better labor conditions. The price you pay for something is no indication of how the labor force making that product was treated. It's actually worse that most retailers in America are sourcing their items from the SAME factories in China and charging a ridiculous markup. At least Shein and Temu are not charging that crazy mark-up. Please don't be fooled because Nordstrom charges more! 😉
@@pcakes122 I think most people understand the issues of quality products and inferior products. Additionally it’s not difficult to research the working/ living conditions of a country etc.
My friends first order from Temu came yesterday. She described it as “ junk”.
I believe the majority of shoppers in this country know the level of quality, lifecycle etc of an item. We love a bargain but not at the cost of good material, construction etc.
@@pcakes122 I check the source of the product and won’t buy thins from China. I sometimes don’t get what I want or need; however, my moral compass is more important to me that a shirt or pair of shoes. I wish more people thought like this.

I personally love Temu. I have been very impressed with what I have gotten. Granted some things are cheaply made but the bulk of my purchases have been really good. I purchased a brush straightener for less then 6 or 7 dollars and another influencer I followed purchased the same thing but at a much higher price. Temu may not be for everyone but I have been very happy with this company.

Do you have any idea what chemicals are in the products you are buying and whether or not they are even safe to use? For all you know they could be full of toxic chemicals. But as long as you save a few bucks, all is good, right?

I’m older and recently moved into a cottage and I did not have a lot of the silly little odds and ends. I needed to fix and repair things. Temu has been a wonderful resource especially for things. I would only use a couple times. I’ve also ordered a lot of things for gardening that cost 10 times as much here like Velcro ties for my tomatoes. My son is going to cut down a sumac tree and couple of other 3 inch stumps for me and we didn’t have a saw. I was able to get a fabulous one for seven dollars from Temu and after that will probably never use it. I have not had the problems with ordering that I hear people talk about and I order such cheap things that I don’t even waste my time sending them back, not that I’ve had to. Only once something didn’t come and I notified them and they credited me so I’ve been very happy with Temu for my needs . I certainly wouldn’t order jewelry or clothes but for a little odds and ends around the house they’ve been wonderful. I don’t mind ordering from China because I think I’m ordering from the little man who is struggling to make it and my not ordering is not going to help them at all. Everything we buy practically is from China now. We have made them wealthy and it’s our fault. Hurting the little man is going to have no effect on that.

TEMU pays for return shipping. Also, sometimes they will issue a refund and tell you to just keep the item. This has happened to me.
Temu will pay for return shipping per order.. that mean if you want to return 4 item from one order you must do it the same time to get the free return on all four items...

Temu quality is the same as any other website as the price goes up so does the guality.. do not expect quality on cheap item..
I would wear the large multicolored earring as a brooch! I, too, have reservations about Temu. I have ordered one time. I love making junk journals and all I ordered were for journal making. Everything was decent quality. However, some of the scrapbooking papers Temu is selling are copies from other name brand paper companies. That bothers me.

Well, I have been using Temu for at least 8 mos. The quality of what I have ordered has 90% of the time been great. I don't have much mo ey, so this has been wonderful. Customer service has also been terrific.
Maybe buy items Made in America. Quality vs Quantity and no child slave labor involved. Buy American and vote for a return to pride and patriotism in 2024. We only get one more chance or our country will be owned by China.

I've ordered around 150 items from Temu and returned, "free of charge", about 70 % of the items.
I don't get why she keeps saying returns,you pay shipping. I have ordered several times and had to send several things back and I have never paid for shipping. And some returns i was told to keep or donate and got my money back. Where do people think the stuff from Walmart ,target, and dollar stores come from.

I feel the same way about TEMU and don’t even watch the videos of favorite UA-camrs but I knew you would give your honest opinion Patti. To me it looks like a bunch of really cheap junk and I’m not interested. I try to purchase from USA but will also buy from Vietnam and India. Anywhere but China and it’s really hard to do that but it does influence my decision.

The mark-ups in most stores here are absolutely criminal. Years ago we knew a gal who had worked in a high-end department store selling wedding dresses. When she quit the place she said that many of the gorgeous wedding gowns that the place sold for thousands of dollars were bought for less than 20 bucks each, some as low as 6 dollars, wholesale. That was around 25 years ago or so. Sickening the greed. Like you mentioned, the people making the products are barely paid and work in horrid conditions. ):

I've gotten a few things from temu. All was ok. Returned once and free shipping even on return. But quality was crummy on the shoes I ordered. Other stuff was ok. I tend to order odd stuff cuz of prices so I'm not looking at their stuff anymore. I know viewers enjoy the hauls. But I do get tired of people sponsoring companies. I tend to skip over thise videos. I have watched several influencers that show Temu products and they just rave about the products. I just don’t understand how the quality can be that good for the prices they charge. I have not bought anything from Temu…
I have purchased from them and to be honest the quality is excellent. The clothing is fantastic and very well made. I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to purchase four outfits at a price I would have paid for one at Woman Within and the quality is supervisor to WW. The wait was only nine days for delivery but shipping was free. I will order from them again.
I haven't purchased anything from them my own self because of the China thing it just makes me feel too bad the slave labor and all of that but my girlfriend bought a bunch of jewelry and sent me a bunch of it and I really like it I've had three of these bracelets on for two solid months I wanted to try them out I was sure they would turn green on my arms or something and guess what they still look as good as the day I put them on there just wonderful want but once again I won't spend my own money on stuff from there or somebody gives me something from there I surely will keep it and use it
I was surprised at the quality, for the most part. A few things reminded me that you get what you pay for, lol. You just have to remember that if it's too good to be true, it probably is. You are not going to get "designer to fool the masses" for $1.98 no matter how good the picture makes it look 😂
Because there is no overhead. Most of the stuff is just that cheap to make. And chances are the exact same items you can buy around here, that has been marked way up. If you expect designer quality then you are crazy. But stuff than can be purchased at local retailers etc are the same.
I've only ordered from TEMU once with no problems. Not sure I'll order again.
The pin does look vintage. My mom passed away over 50 years ago and I have her pins which I love and wear and your green pin would fit right in with my mom's pins.

I have ordered several things & several tops. I have been happy with my purchases.
My sister and myself have placed about 15 orders with TEMU. perhaps we were lucky but not one item was a disappointment. I have bought dresses that are exactly the same on other sites for 60-70% less and love them! We love it!

I love Temu. Everything I have ordered has been excellent.
One thing you need to be aware of is that jewelry can be very dangerous because of cadmium in the metal alloy they use, they do not have safety standards as we do. Clothing can also be contaminated with chemicals and dyes that you do not want leaching into your skin! This was a very long winded video but there is a lot of curiosity about Temu so you may help someone decide!
I noticed clothing is spliced.Cute clothes if you don’t have to wear expensive.They will keep you ordering by giving you merchandise for almost nothing.Pattie we have something in common. I live in Ar.
Please please please keep in mind that they know who they are sending the items to. You're on UA-cam, and they know it! I've seen a very big difference in just the quality of packaging between what they send "you guys" and what they send the general public.

Temu will not stop bugging me to do review on every item. It never stops! I keep telling them NO, I don't do reviews. I even talked to someone. I've thrown most away. You can not delete it! It does not stop! You got lucky, my earrings was missing the stone.☺ I bought costume jewelry for my granddaughter to play with.
I am a retired 68 year old. I need to stretch my money out. Yes, I ordered from Temu. I ordered a gorgeous necklace, a gorgeous skirt, a pair of shoes, mascara and pantyhose. I never had to leave my house. I’m so happy with my things.
You have the best videos. So glad you shared your thoughts with us about Temu. So many UA-camrs have jumped on the Temu train. I have some of the same questions and concerns you’ve expressed today. Time will tell if Temu can sustain its popularity.
I've seen many UA-cam videos comparing products with Temu items. Hands down, the overwhelming constant was that buying quality is the smartest way to go. while many of the products looked just like the original but the quality was questionable.

Keep an eye on your credit information, passwords etc. Word is that Temu is fishing your information once you buy from them

I'm 72. Dressed in wool tweed jackets, wool sweaters and skirts from 1st grade to retirement. Now I wear black leggings with bright pink and turquoise scarves. It's very freeing, and the leggings feel like wearing jammies! But big, big, real gold and stone rings are my passion. It's good to be selectively gaudy. Frees the soul.

I've ordered some items from TEMU and have been happy with most of them. I recieved my package in 10 days from the day of order. All of our stores in this country are selling everything practically from China and India. We make very little in this country unfortunately. I worked in retail for years and years in upscale department stores and Walmart,,,all of them were selling items from China. It makes me sad that most of our factories have closed. Do you remember all the clothing factories and textile factories in the 70's and 80's? So sad!!

They are a 3rd party seller, I think in Boston. The products are from China but so are a lot of products we purchase from Amazon and other places we shop. The things I bought, like kitchen gadgets are the same and good quality. The clothes I sent back. The material isn’t stated and most are polyester. I sent one order of several clothing items back. On another order they didn’t want the shirt back. Unfortunately most of the items we buy are made in China. The crafting supplies I got where good. Read the reviews and decide what you will take a risk on.
I wish Amazon would list where every product is made. I am trying not to buy Made In China.

Temu is trying to get market shares from Amazon. Buying from them is cutting out the middle man, either way we end up buying stuff from China. TJMaxx has a completely different concept, they buy up bulk from established brands from their last season or seconds. On top of that they produce their own lines and mix it with brand names.
My grandson coerced me to try Temu. I was very my disappointed. The items had a horrible chemical smell. I ordered drawer organizers and I had to take them outside for a week before I could bring them in the house. Patti, I love your eyeshadow. You didn’t mention that in your comments.

Temu will “trick” you with their photos…items always look way bigger then they really are. I’ve learned how to study the pictures, check the measurements, and looks for reviews that include photos. I’ve had really good success on some items, while a few other items were duds. Too cheap and/or not what I expected. I think it’s always been a wash for me, though. And I really think I’ve saved a lot of $ on the exact items I would have seen at USA stores!

But they will promptly fife your money back or credit your account if anything is broken or you just don’t like it. I tried to get a return on a few things that I mistakenly ordered 2 of and they said to keep them! I love Temu, Light in the Box and Shien! I’ve had no issues with them at all.
Chinese are smaller and sizing is smaller. Been like that forever online. Every store you walk into is Made In China and the same places are making it. Very little to find not made there.
Patty, to be honest, the “Gold” set reminds me of vintage Foil jewelry and this version is very attractive on you. Given the right outfit, it would look great on you. I would say it looks more like a reflective shiny yellow color, which to me, looks more acceptable than an attempt at being gold. I liked in on you. I could see it presenting on black, navy blue or royal blue, very well. The silver version, I see presenting very well on pure white.
The rosé earrings look great with what you are wearing.
I’ve been following a few UA-camrs and I’ve been buying from Temu before I noticed they were doing Temu hauls BUT finally I found someone who’s closer in age to me!!! You’re the first “older” woman I’ve found on UA-cam!! I think you’ve got a new subscriber!!! I enjoyed listening to you. I’m going to look for the wig video-I’ve had super thick hair my whole life but now I’m getting bald on top in front-I wear a little piece-I may need a full wig soon. Great video on Temu Patti! The very last part was cut off when you started talking about the fairy lights. Oh well, we got the main idea. Anyway, I’m a bit afraid of TEMU for many reasons. I’ve heard it said that it’s just another way for the Chinese to track our information and infiltrate our bank accounts, etc. I ordered from them and received some fairly decent stuff, but then I deleted it. These websites from China, like TikTok and Temu are scary to me. Idk, maybe I’m too paranoid, but like you said I’d hate to think child laborers are working got nothing making trinkets for Americans to buy, then throw to the side. I am very pleased with Temu products and their business model. They ship quickly, track products well, and the products are not cheap. We love it and have scored many great items for a cheap price. In this day and age it's a break to be able to afford such things. Everything comes from China it seems now, so Temu is just another company.

I took credit instead of sending back and they told me to keep product. So I give those away. I do like the small purses kitchen items, some clothes and some shoes that are cool to wear on hot days to church. My fall and winter shoes.cost over $100, but for summer I keep my good sandals for special times.
Its just click bait for people to order things they don't want or need. The quality is what you would probably expect for the price you pay. But mostly I am extremely skeptical of them having access to my credit card info. As far as retailers are concerned..its just buyer beware. But like you said... at least we can see it, feel it and make our own judgement.
I shop with temu all the time. Most items are pretty good. Returns have been free for me. I usually have them put it on the account for my next purchase. By the way those rose earrings are very cute, look very good on you.

We spend the winters in Naples and it’s so happens that two ladies that I follow on UA-cam live in Naples and I met both of them for lunch on separate occasions. one of them two times and the other one once. It was a lot of fun.

Well I was Temu skeptic. But I usually buy from Amazon and found the exact same things from Temu for a 3rd or 4th of the price. The quality was very good too. I have purchased spatulas, tops, earrings, gardening supplies, etc all of which I'm happy with. Everything we buy here is from China since we have no manufacturing here any more. Since we buy from China at all the other stores I don't see any reason not to buy from Temu. BYW, I utilize yard sales and thrift stores also because I'd like to repurpose when I can.
A lot of those stuff are sold by chinese middle men so in the end if you buy the stuff from amazon you end up sending more money to China "knowing is half the battle " say GI Joe😁
Your earlobe being ripped made me remember how mine got torn. As a teen girl, I wore many of the old earrings that had the wires that fastened with little hooks in the back.
On the beach one day, someone (a really cute guy) threw a towel over my head and playfully pulled it off. Yep, it ripped both earrings out! I had only slits in both ears! He was horrified but I was devastated!
Fortunately, a neighbor of ours was a plastic surgeon and he sewed up the slits in my ears so skillfully, there are only slight scars.
The worst part was that I had to wait six years before I could get my ears pierced again!

I like them! I bought my summer wardrobe from them! Cute outfits, some two piece, dresses, etc. Amazon has a lot of the same items for more money! I bought a few jewelry items and I have to admit I was pleased. So far a couple of things came broken but they were so cheap wasn't worth returning! I bought kitchen gadgets that I use often and love them. I have no complaints with them! I'm glad they are giving Amazon some competition, Amazon caused a lot of stores to close!
Thank you for showing this and hopefully saving others from same mistake. I bought 3 tops and 2 dresses impulsively from “Nora-Cora” a site that popped up on my phone. Came directly from China, couldn’t even read the return info in tiny print with some Chinese lettering. I was disappointed and laughed at myself for doing something so wasteful. Nothing looked like the pictures and quality was horrible. Actually tossed it all. Let’s all try to save ourselves from the CCP!

I looked into this company and they have a warehouse in Boston. Claiming to have cut out the middle man. I ordered mainly sewing items. Got my items within a week. China was allowed to join the World Trade Organization.
