The Favorites of 90s Metal Drummer for me would be Vinnie Paul, Igor Cavalera, Chris Kontos, Paul Bostaph, the guy from White Zombie sorry I cant remember the name but I remember the playing and the Biohazard drummer they all got one thing in common they can Groove
I went to High School with this guy, I remember when he had a blue mohawk & a bone through his nose 👃🦴, & we would go to punk shows at the mabuhay gardens in San Francisco back in the early 80s, he went by the name Bosco, back then.😎👍🥁🎶🇺🇸
I know it`s best to just appreciate a guys playing and let live. But i have to share my thoughts here since i see quite some similarities: it always (!) bugs me how Chris is exactly what i imagine Lars Ulrich could have been if he wouldn`t allegedly have stopped practicing after 1989. It`s the odd cymbal accents for me! With Chris you know it`s part of what he wants the music to sound like and knows exactly what he`s doing. With Lars it`s just erratic. Thank you, Mr. Kontos, for pursuing a unique style AND keep up technically. :)
Mr Kontos my favorite drummer from the 90's with Vinnie Paul.
same here
and maybe also some Igor Cavalera lol
@@rihirdo no because he scalled back, chris and vinnie are the drummers

Chris Kontos would be the best drummer for Pantera.
I feel like I'm 15 again! Thanks for that Chris! The true MH is finally back!
Two words - Adam Duce???
Damned! I've stopped following MH since a while, and just come back because Chris does. I didn't know they fired Adam...
Kontos isnt really back,it was only for the anniversary tour unfortunately
Duce would rip but theres no chance theyll make amends methinks. Jared lays it down though \m/
Awesome drum set 👍

Superb drummer, Chris!
Not a single extra movement. Everything is clear and specific.👍
