I’m confused, do all these designers get together for some secret meetings and plan this or something? How do they always end up with a few pieces which are similar and are therefore called trends? Also, this was a great video like other ones. I just recently subscribed and I’m loving your channel!
They don't meet up, I believe. I think they design their clothes based on what had sold before. For example, fringes have been 'in style' this year and well apparently they will be in style again next year.
They study trend forcasts made by professionals...
Most labels have people that analyze trends. They look at what sold well previous and what silhouettes, patterns, and colours are on the incline. Sometimes they buy trend reports from trend research companies.
There are companies whose aim is to create these trends. They have teams which come up with ideas, colours, patterns, shapes in fashion and then they create an inspirational book, catalogue out of these ideas which they sell to fashion houses.

Always ahead in forecasting the trends for next season, but I didn’t find any of the trends S/S19 show stopping. The most awful one was the biker shorts! Yuck 🤢

I like all of it. Love cargo pants, love paper bag waists, love all of the cute detail, and love less super tight jeggings. Biker shorts are fine, they are just a short pair of leggings. I don't see the big problem.

Biker shorts can never be high fashion or even fashionable. Why?!?!?! I didn't know cargo pants or fringes even went out of style! Golden yellow is beautiful though . Along with Pantone's color of the year 2019, coral. Gorgeous !
Yeah things evolve. There are cargo pants and fringe but it is not worn or look the same as past trends. Cargo pants for 2019 are more shaped, fringe is placed in other non traditional locations.... its all just inspiration. What can designers spin off of this for next time?

Designers seem to have forgotten how to enhance the natural shape of a woman. They seem to have forgotten what would be practical in our every-day-lives.
I tend to children and housework as well as work in an office. I also gain weight when stressed. None of these seem to be addressed.
I need clothes where I can be active without ripping open a seam. I need clothes that disguise an extra 10 pounds. I need styles that are timeless, because I can rarely buy something new.

Snooze- bleached jeans 1980's- fringe again-golden yellow only looks good on certain skin tones - cargo pants zzzzzzz. Fashion is no longer in couture, it's found in Instagram.
There really isn’t anything new. But being an 80’s girl I am always good with fringe. Fashion am damn. The people in it are just so shallow, so much so that they can’t even think of anything new anymore. But I do like the orange, very pretty in summer and I am good with cargo. But seems I have always liked tgat stuff it’s nothing new to me

I'm excited for a 2019 update on cargo pants and fringe. Not looking forward to more biker shorts or bleached denim. Love the yellow color! It's 2019 let's stop focusing on what is typically worn on certain skin tones and live a little! Golden yellow is a gorgeous color :)
