I like the degree of detail here! I would be interested how the complement component C3d is produced. In complement cascade C3a and C3b occur f.e. as result of activation of C1 component. Is C3d component therefore a result of a enzymatic activity, that is independent of complement cascade, which cleaves on a different location on C3?
