Being a Purple Martin landlord is very rewarding. We still have our anchor male martin that comes back every year. He's first to arrive and lands on his box porch like an airplane on a carrier.
@@dadscavaliers642 We did at first. We bought a sparrow trap and installed it about 40 feet from the martin pole on a 4' high pedestal platform. First year we dispatched about 125 English house sparrows. Second year about 75 and the capture number kept going down to where we only get 20 or so a year. Still have the original trap, it's still working just fine and we do NOT have a sparrow problem in the T 14. We got it at a Purple Martin Festival and you can find them on eBay and at Amazon. A bit spendy for some however well worth the money.
@@dadscavaliers642 To dispatch the sparrow, I've seen where the person reaches in and grabs the sparrow in their hand then squeeze the chest really hard. I have never done it I have seen it done.
Loved the video but it would of been nice to have the days after hatching put on each screen as it changed so you could see how fast they grew in just a few days.
I know, they run them off and kill the babys, same on my blue bird boxes, alot of ppl shoot the males to stop the invasion and it does work for the most part.
the sweet little sounds they are making, omg, so cute! so darling!
Wonderful birds, so nice to see them grow up!
I’m watching this right now. In front of my Grandpa Marion Prince’s. I love the piano. 🎹
So precious! And I love the sounds they make ! Such beautiful chirps!
This is so beautiful. I miss them so much.
It so cute how they all huddle up. Oh, the itchiness, when the pin feathers are coming in.

Do you have any sparrow issues? If so, how did you solve it? They always take over my houses.☹

Thanks for the camera feed and answering our million questions about what goes on in there!!!
Some of the most colorful creatures are birds. In their natural color combinations, inspiration can be taken almost as endlessly as in flowers.
Absolutely stunning birds. The prettiest chirps ❤️

I love it when the hatchlings start chirping.💛
Dream, the sweetest dreams, little angels, hoping, no human being, would destroy your future.
There is no need for background music. Let it be.
Agree 100%! Wish there was no music, yet can't mute it without losing the adorable chirps.
Quality is amazing.
