You can also break spaghetti up small. We use any kind of pasta we have in the house. Actually, we say macaroni. Leslie, I too am Italian. My grandparents were both born in Italy. My Nonna would make pastina for us when we visited her. My mother made it for my sisters and I when we weren’t feeling well. Pastina is the ultimate comfort food. So glad that you liked it. I hope Levi is feeling better.

This weeks theme is so much fun! This week has been different in a lot of ways. Remember that we almost missed out on winter last year? Well, this year Winter is reminding us how it can show up and show out! I had made a big old beef stew to warm our bellie last weekend.. That was delish, but we ate all of that. The chicken breast has been consumed and the leavings will be cooked down for my Heal the Sick and Raise the Dead chicken soup which will be cooked this weekend. Yesterday I cooked a big pot of pinto beans so that I can make a pot of chili. Won't those beans be great in the chili? The weatherman says that next Friday we will have high temps in the mid to upper 60s. I always did love to ride the roller coaster. Thanks for doing so much for us!
Hi Leslie! A suggestion would be kalamara olives, chopped cherry tomatoes and feta cheese crumbles for a Mediterranean vibe. I believe the “dimples” are also to produce air pockets and the collection of olive oil and spices. Cheers!

Fresh, homade bread is wonderful. My family loves it! I've never pasta egg and cheese but it sounds really good, kind of like a cross between pasta de olio and good old American mac and cheese. ❤

Leslie, if you like that pasta dish you should try pasta carbonara. It's just as easy to make is that. But instead of pancetta I use bacon. And it is so good.
I love the themed recipes Leslie!!❤ I have tried dishes that I normally don't make after watching you make them, we all need variety in what we eat.😊 My family has enjoyed the new recipes!
You need to add more stock. It is not a side dish but more like a " get better) soup. We use it like Italian Penicillin when you feel under the weather. It is so delicious and comforting. You should be proud of youself for doing such a good job. My only suggestion would be to ad more stock as it should be more like soup. Bravo !

Its hard to find pastina but you can find a pasta called acini di pepe.Its used in Italian wedding soup.
