  • 2011-2014 Infiniti QX56 Radiator leak/crack fixed. No parts needed and only takes about 10 minutes. Infiniti service manager said this is a common problem on these 5.6 engines. This will probably work for other year and models like the Armada and Titan. Saved me almost 1000.00 dollars!

Thank you! I just got the hot, high pressure coolant shower today. This is exactly what I was thinking about but I was worried about getting rid of those fins. I am glad to find out it can be done!

Worked for me before heading on a trip. God bless youtube and people that contribute to it!

You sir are my hero! Same thing happened with my wife’s 2012 QX. I used a dremmel , cut the hose and added a new hose clamp and viola!

This is true, if you go to the workshop with this problem, they gonna ask you to replace the whole radiator. Thanks for your tips.

Thanks a lot for the idea. The Nissan dealer told me it'll cost near USD 1000 (in Dubai) to fix it, but I'll go your way. May need to apply a bit of Bison kit glue on the nipple just to be safe.
Update: it's been a month now since I did it (I used Indian Head Shellac) and it's holding just fine, but eventually I will change the whole left side plastic header for $125 at a repair shop.

just got sprayed with hot coolant after bumping coolant hose on hot engine while working on battery terminals. the expansion tank hose broke that plastic nipple. i sheared the fins with pliers immediately as a temporary fix. was hoping this vid had some other solution to completely eliminate this concern. read on a forum someone did something with jb weld and a brass nipple fitting.

Jeremy, thank you for the video. My wife's QX56 has the exact same issue. Just to be clear, your suggestion is trimming the fins on the fitting attached to the radiator then sliding the hose further up? I want to make sure I don't trim the wrong thing.

Bryce Garrett yes, I used the same clamp that was on it. We bought a new QX80 but I sold this one to a friend and it is still doing great with no issues.

I think I have the same problem, under my hood looks exactly the same. Is there anyway I can CALL you and you talk me through this Jeremy? I want to do EXACTLY what you did and only seeing the end result in the video isn't enough for me since I don't work on cars. But I'll be a fast learner to save $1000! How can I reach you?

Wow, thats the thickest accent i’ve ever heard (from someone that can only speak one language) Please put subtitles next time. :-)

Thomas Merriam if you can’t understand it maybe you should just take your car to a mechanic because you will probably have a hard time with that also 😉
