Finished the quest thanks to this. I was waiting for your video to release to attempt it. To anyone having troubles with the skilling boss. I died the first time around with 95% inventory of food. The 2nd time I tried, I did it with no food and almost finished it. Got to like 15k HP left on the boss as I experimented a bit more. The 3rd time, I took less food so I had more inventory spots for the rocks you mine. I took 50% food. Grab as many of those crystal shards at the beginning as they're used for repairing the barrier and getting rid of those healing devourers. I tried to keep the barrier to 100% anytime those squares came up around the rocks as I couldn't mine the rocks. Click on that "special action" button (that Egyptian symbol) at the bottom as often as possible and attack with your rocks as the same time. Took me maybe ~5 special action button cycles to finish her this way. Stay south of the barrier like Sikavit said unless you're attacking. I used Surge a few times, no other mobility abilities, really just to get back to the rocks quicker after attacking the boss. I tried to focus my transmuting and mining efforts on 1 rock at a time, I found going after multiple rocks at once wasn't helping me. Those wisps that attack you while mining/transmuting are unavoidable so just keep mining through them.
Not sure what im doing wrong but it takes so long to transmute then mine that by the time I attack and mine again it regains more health than when i started.
Thank you so much. after a long journey in this game after more than 15 years of playing i finally have gotten the quest cape and its all thanks to you and your great guides. thank you so much sikovit. The best quest guider to ever do it.
For anyone having trouble with thr boss, it's actually easy, make sure you repair the barrier gather the blue things and press the special action button when you have gathered a full inventory. Jump the steps small to big, thrn hit her with everything. Then run back to the green circle next to the cat god. And repeat.
I finished this quest today. The boss fight... The attacks in the earlier part of the fight are easier, with fewer ahk creatures and squares, so I did the following: 1. I got about 60-100 of the moonstone things 2. I repaired the barrier 3. I transmuted 4 rocks so I could just go back and forth and mine between attacks 4. I went in with a little less food because I didn't need it and I needed to mine more moon fragment things to attack with 5. I filled up my inv with moon fragments 6. I clicked the special action button and climbed the pillars to attack. This is the way to go because it does 5-25% more damage, it attacks with all fragments at once, and you don't get attacked at all while doing this 7. After about 3 or 4 pillar attacks, she was dead
Just did the skilling boss part on my iron. I found having a nearly empty inventory helps a lot. Looking back I would have been fine even without any food. Bring something with the mobile perk. Fill up your inventory with those blue rocks, then use the special action button and quickly click the platforms from lowest to highest, click the boss and surge/dive back to Icthlarin. The faster you click the platforms, the more damage your rocks will do. You take constant damage, but it's not very high. On the quest version I found I didn't need any food. You can store blue rocks into a BoB too so it should be possible to mine enough to oneshot the boss. Can't say for sure how many that would be though. I'm guessing around 25 for the quest version, so no doubt a few more on the actual boss. My account has 10 constitution and 1 defence. It very much looks like boss damage scales with your health. The highest hit I took was around 140, from standing in one of those squares as they went off. Unfortunately I won't be able to do the final part yet with that account. Looks like I won't be doing the new boss just yet.
I should have known not even to try this until you released your guide. I tried to follow another guide but failed. I read the wiki and couldn't do it because of those darn pillars (I wasn't fast enough). I laughed out loud when you said the pillars were stupid! hahahahaha Thank you very much for your guide!
Okay, idk if they updated it but when i tried not using the special from Icthlarin i failed 3 times. Moving forward i used the mechanics. Beat it first try. Gather shards, get shield up, Cleanse all the rubble behind the shield first, then collect, then Icthlarin special like 3 times and it was over.
so im doing exactly what you did to clense the gate and the boss only gets more health points, seams impossible. even when i get rid of the monsters healing it straight away it still gets stronger. i get it down to 90k and it goes straight back to 120k xp what am i doing wrong??
It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take forever to gather rubble. I wonder would a augmented setup work better? It's converting and collecting rubble I think everyone is struggling with.
totally agree everyone of these guides are rubbish i keep getting instakilled and it's impossible to take health off it instead it just keeps healing no matter what i do
so far i've watched every youtube guide and read the wiki to skilling quest and not a single 1 has made any sense i keep failing and getting insta-killed these guides suck.

I'm glad you're still making these. Ive given it a like even though im not doing the quest right now.
Your the only reason I've ever gotten through quests. MVP!!
I had to wait for you to come out with the vid, thank you for making the best quest guides!

Congrats on the quest cape! Glad I could help

You can bring a pak yak for more food guys. Just in case you did think of it, it works.
Great guide. I did the quest on release, but I did use most of your guides to get my quest cape! You’re the best at guides imo.

Literally just finished Requiem for a dragon, perfect timing.
Can't seem to get the blue things fast enough. All progress is lost just trying to get more.

I'm having trouble with this boss, your comment will be very helpful. I appreciate your input!
11:11 Can confirm talking to Z will tele us to the Ritual Marker.
TY,another quest done for me :)

Yeah cause protoxx sucks ass and his 'guides' are shit
Goated guides
great guide thank you
Didnt watch the vid yet but...❤ Deserved already like always
i noticed that the special ability when i had amo in my inv and if i was fast up the pillars i took 20k hp each time
I have tried this stupid quest 100 times everyone says its easy by the time i mine blue stones its back to full health I run out of food and die
Tried 4 times, died 4 times. I'm done.

For the second fight - pray melee blocks almost all damage
Still the best quester, wonder if he still has the same Nox bow I gave him or if he upgraded since then. Literally getting me through all those quests
Idk if it’s the same nox bow, might have lost it or sold it and bought it back at some point but I do have a nox bow
Sikoviiit 😃

If you didn't choose the Meow option when talking to Amascut The Devourer then we can't be friends
0:42 for some reason mine doesnt appear as a cabbage dummy. its just bill and i cant start the quest. any ideas?
@@mikek9352 You most likely have not met the requirements to start this quest
So the ring of Charos doesn't affect any quest dialogue here?
Lol nope, why would it?
@@danielrolf3768 You clearly have no idea what it does if you're commenting this.
Bruh i thought you stopped making vids
watch a boss guide itll show you proper how to do it
Definitily the worst quest i've done in 15;years of RuneScape.
Quest is a load of rubbish!

Easy bro. Git gud.
