Jake, you’re missing your most obvious purpose, you are an inspiration to so many who are inspired by you’re sobriety, your loving friendships, your openness about your struggles with mental illness. Everyday that you’re sober is a day to celebrate. Statistically alcoholics and drug addict don’t get sober. You are enough. (If you don’t mind) I would suggest hitting some meeting regularly and staying connected with like minded fellow travelers. I started following you because knowing that you’re staying sober from a very intense drug makes me happy for you, your family, friends, followers and moms like me. My lovely son died 3 years ago at 27, I miss him dearly. He was so loving and an amazing musician and writer. His death has knocked me out, I feel as though I was hit by an asteroid.
    Keep going, your a miracle.

Hey man, sobriety is tough! stay motivated and keep your head up. Even if you have no direction, living day by day is the best way too keep your head out of the gutter. AA and NA out in colorado is great! Don’t be afraid to reach out to groups out there for support either! I haven’t watched for very long but from what i’ve seen you’re a great guy. Keep your head up!

Same here bro! I’m living in my Prius, doing the Gig thing in FL and I feel that my life has lost its purpose also. I wish I could tell you what to do about it but I’d be spitting bullshit if I tried. However, I don’t think we are the only ones feeling this way. I believe there are many who are wondering this earth trying to find purpose in a world that is trying to make humanity obsolete. My only advice is to just be! God gave us this world to be our home and maybe our only real purpose is to simply appreciate what he has given us. Lastly, there are only two ways to “be” in this world. You can be of love or be of hate. It’s your choice but I personally choose to be of love. God bless you! I appreciate your work and your honesty. Stay strong my friend!

@@qa9619 The Prius is a Hybrid that has climate control. I basically leave the car on always. The engine periodically comes on to charge the hybrid battery and then shuts off when charged. The a/c and all electrical components run off the hybrid battery. So, I always have electricity to power my devices and a/c to keep me and my dog from panting to death. Lol

Good to see you today, Jake, and so glad you have plenty of followers to vent with. We all need to vent now and again. Keep in mind that, since the start of this year, the sun has been very active with the numerous solar flares coming from it. The bigger ones that point to earth may cause mood swings, ringing in the ears, trouble with cell phones and even an EMP. I encourage you to also share your daily inspirational quotes with us, I always enjoy you reading them, they encourage me, too! Much love and thanks for sharing today! 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Jake, as a very uneducated Buddhist all of my adult life, I found that there is no purpose but maybe progress. You make progress IMO, when you are helping others, but not at the expense of yourself. You found something that makes you happy, most of the time, and pretty clearly benefits others (channel is on long-term uptrend), yes? When time comes to change what you are doing, the need to do so will manifest itself. Any over-arching goals on your life's screen will call you, and then you head in that direction. Keep networking, keep reading and learning about whatever interests you. ✌️

Hey Jake. I felt the same as you being indecisive, like what to do and If I should leave a city and etc while I was traveling solo. Being by yourself is hard because you can’t bounce ideas with someone. People are social creatures and trying to do that through social media/UA-cam, isn’t what we humans were meant to do, at least in my opinion. I think valuing face to face interactions and connecting with others in person can help as it helped me during my trip and non traveling life. Stay strong!

Start a planner and start scheduling things and start transitioning from planning in the moment to planning ahead.. it takes time but it helped me.
I use notes on my iPhone to write everything down! It relaxes me not having to remember stuff and gives me tasks of things I want to get done.
Start dwelling on what you want to accomplish with your life and start making it happen! Even if you realize it’s not what you want to be doing you will have learned and be able to cross another thing off your list and will help you focus with more clarity 👍

Hey, Jake. I used to live in the Boulder area and it's all pretty neat and very expensive. Personally, it ended up not being for me but Denver did intrigue me; I liked it better. If you ever get a chance, I would recommend visiting Missoula, Montana. There are lots of people up there with plenty of heart, very good people. I don't know what the gig economy is like there, but Bozeman may be better in that regard, as I've seen some vids from a guy who has worked the gig economy there. Seattle may be the nearest place (or Spokane) with a thriving gig economy in the region but, at any rate, I feel that Missoula is at least worth visiting for maybe a weekend. Maybe you'd find something you're looking for, or to help lead you in the right direction. It's truly a lovely place.

Welcome to "life" in a city. Where you likely have no "soul" friends. This happens to most everyone.
You may have developed a case of NDD (Nature Deficit Disorder).
Get out into the parks to jog hike explore.
Grab your board and grind in a new place.
Investigate surrounding communities/towns for their unique places museums parks.
Or head into the mountains little towns for epic landscapes and exploring.
Purpose and goals often can change throughout our lives. Welcome the change, allow things to expand.
Sometimes the change is short weeks months, maybe a few years.
Then the next long opportunity for growth arrives.
PROVIDENCE will arrive when all of the people needed are in place, and your preparation is aligned.
Delay is not denying. Sometimes we just gotta "tread water" for a while.

Jake I'm going to be real with you man. Congrats on being sober first. But man you can't expect to keep living out of your car like it's normal man, it's too fast paced. You need a home to relax, unwide, and just chill. But I think you may be living in your car bc you don't know what you want to do. The first step, would be figuring out where you want live. just choose a place man, if you don't know where you want to go, you don't have to have a fairy tale dream of living in a particular city. Just pick a place. Then you'll realize okay I need to make rent, I need to get a good paying job, etc. Then you''ll look into jobs that fit your interests, then things fall into place from there. The first step is settling down somewhere. Dude idk how much longer you expect to live out of your car, I'd relapse in a second.

    • @rickstevenson267
      @rickstevenson267 2 роки тому

And you could still make weekend day trip videos. Dude we watch you're journey, we don't care if you travel or not. Make update vlogs.Trust me, settle down somewhere. Get roomates, find a cheap spot. Boom in 6 months your credit will be great, if you just even tackle half your credit you'll probably be in the 700's. Credit is incredibly stressful, take care of it and you'll be a new man. The faact that you're living like this and being clean still, there's no way you'd relapse whle settling down.

Denver has a huge homeless population and with that comes a huge drug problem. Change your scenario up a bit, seeing all the "meth heads" and how readily available drugs are downtown can be a problem. I was once approached in the parking lot of Home Depot by someone looking to sell. Yeah, a high sounds good here and there, but look how far you have come and think positively. Keep your head up and this to shall pass, good luck.

Honestly, Jake...sometimes when life just becomes what it becomes and those 12 steps aren't even necessary anymore. If I were you, I would just try and enjoy life right now because well, there's a lot going on in the world that might be affecting our country badly soon but don't fret and just keep doing what your doing. I say travel, enjoy and that purpose thing? THIS IS YOUR PURPOSE
