@Professor Yu. do we need to know the names of the egg as it goes through stages like before and after fertilizarion?

You do. That's the basic terms you need to know. Before fertilization, it's the gametes - sperm and oocyte - that are involved in fertilization. After fertilization, the fertized egg becomes a zygote. This zygote cell will go through rapid mitosis which eventually develops into an embryo. You may also want to be familar with blastula and gastrula stages. Hope this helps 🙂

When a male has a vasectomy sperm is stopped by traveling to what? Testie into epididymis or prostate gland ?

There are two key things to know before you can answer the question. First, the pathway of the sperm and their final destination. Second, where vasectomy takes place, basically which part of the pathway is "blocked". The goal of the whole sperm pathway is to transport sperm (produced in the testies and matured in the epididymis) to the penis (specifially the urethra in the penis) to be ejected outside the male's body. So the ultimate answer to the question is to stop sperm to get into the urethra. But which part of the journey is "blocked"? From the name of the procedure, you can probably tell that it is the vas deferens (hence the "vas" part). With vasectomy, sperm can not travel through vas deferens to urethra. One thing you might have a misconception for is that the sperm will never travel into the prostate gland. It simply releases secretion (along with other glands) into the early part of the urethra to nourish the sperm and facilitate transportation. It's like a gas station next to a highway. It's not directly on the path but next to it to provide "fuel" to the sperm. Hope this helps :-)
