- It’s always fun working on a new chassis and learning something new. Today I had the opportunity to replace a front bumper on a 2018 Toyota Camry SE. I looked online before I got started for a little guidance and was surprised when I didn’t find much, so I decided to make my own. It’s rather straight forward, but hopefully someone else who is seeking some guidance can find this useful.
i wish you would showed how to take the grill portion out of the bumper i am trying to swap out the se grill with the xse one. got the top part looks to be a challenge

Hello I have a question about lower plastic molding bottom of the bumper on the sides, how did you put on that on ur bumper?

No. It was plug and play in my case.

I was doing research on a replacement bumper for my camry 2023 and I saw that most of the replacement bumpers say without sensor. Does that mean that the bumper piece doesnt have the right molding pieces to transfer the old sensor from the old bumper onto the new one? Or does it just mean that the replacement bumper doesnt come with the part. Its so confusing.

Hey man. Great video thanks for the share!! I have a 2020 Camry SE and one side of the lower lip of the lower lip of the black accent piece is broken off. Do you know if i would have to replace the whole accent peice?
Yes, have to replace the whole lip. It’s all one piece.

The bumper itself is one piece. The black grill inserts and the lip at the bottom are separate pieces

I didn’t have to. Just plugged it back in and all is good
I’ve relocated the radar on two different Tacoma’s and I didn’t have to so I’d suspect this is the same.
With the bumper how long did it have to sit in the sun for? And did everything line up really well?
I let it sit outside for a few days. You will know when it’s ready as it will take shape. Fitment was good overall. Not oem but still went on smoothly.

One question what's the bottom black part that you took under the car?
It’s called a splash guard. This one was pretty beat up and not in the best shape.
I have a xle and was wondering do you know if I could put a xse bumper on a xle?
Cannot confirm. I’d imagine it’s possible though. Car manufacturers usually make bumpers interchangeable on different trim levels as long as it’s from the same generation.
Great video! May I know how much is it? And do you need to replace the plastic part behind the front bumper to make it tight? Someone hit my bumper and my left bumper was out.
Thank you! This bumper was around $300 painted and shipped to my door. The bumper was the only thing I replaced. The grilles and foam support behind the bumper were reused.
