The 2026 FIA Formula one car has been shown! One of the bigger changes is the new DRS/MOM system! MOM stands for Manuel Override Mode and is the successor of DRS (drag reduction system). This system is created to make overtaking even easier!
The Drag Reduction System - which has been a feature of grand prix racing since 2011 - will be no more from the end of next season. Instead it will be replaced by F1’s new ‘Manual Override Mode’. But what is it? And how does it work? I will showcase it to you in this video!

Tires should be thicker, at least as thick as the f1 24 cars to provide more grip.
They're thick and wide enough, they just look small because of having no covers

@@gabrielsebastian8444 When I say wide enough, I mean the same width as the F1 24 cars. And no it's not about the covers. Matter of fact, the covers are very thin. they don't do much in terms of thickness.
@@eddyalvaross2195 the purpose of decreasing the car width is to race like the early 2000s again
@@gabrielsebastian8444 The purpose of increasing width, is to favor grip and stability at high speed and in corners, especially with the downforce's magic.
The 2026 FIA car is ugly, uglier than the F1 24 ones. I don't mind diminishing the car weight by a few hundreds of Kg, but if it's so important, they could've stuck with the F1 2021 car models. They were lighter and faster than the current F1 cars.
So honestly, the FIA should try again with the design of their prototype.
