Brandon Lee reminds so much of Johnny Depp.....The Crow what a ground breaking film....Ledger obviously took a lot of inspiration for his Joker Character and even this scene in itself is similar to the Joker when he walks in on the villains....touches of The Matrix too with the long black leather trench coats and the slow mo shots !! What a loss both Lee and Ledger were !!
I love the Crow ! :) Brandon Lee was so awesome in the movie and he did the performance of a life time . Top Dollar is one of the greatest movie villains in my opinion . '' Chaos, disorder, anarchy . Well that's fun ! ''
Wow, as of right now this was uploaded 17 years ago. One of the earliest videos to be posted and still has people watching and commenting all these years later. A powerful film beyond words. Thank you, Brandon...
@@Gatz22 Yeah I laughed so hard the first time I watched this and saw him do that. It was totally Eric being a smart ass with the cops because he knows they can't really do anything to him.
Fun fact: A year after this movie was released (1995), coincidentally Devil's night mayhem and arsons in Detroit died down because the city no longer tolerated the crime spree. The police and residents organized "Angels night" and arrested or killed many of the instigators. Perhaps there is some retribution by a higher power.
One of the most bad ass action scenes ever filmed. And it was done WITHOUT wire-fu or CGI. Brandon Lee would have been a massive star after this film...RIP.
partly, though i would argue they were inspired more by John Woo's films, they had waayyyyy more Dual-Wielding gunfights , wayy cooler Slow-motion destruction, long-takes(that hospital scene in Hard Boiled) and more bullet-dodging/diving. Basically what Hong Kong action cinema is, but the atmosphere and the outlook of The Matrix is very much like The Crow's.
I thout he died at the gunshot to the hand scene. When he put his palm against the barrel. I still love this scene. He is so much like his father in this. Rest in peace, Brandon.
as much as i enjoyed the remake of this one for the serious i think they should make a new movie not a remake of this one, ive enjoyed all the crows and personally if its a new story im fine with it just cuz he died during it doesnt mean it should end a great idea
I'd like to believe Heath Ledger's Joker was inspired by this movie, I also want to say Heath Ledger himself was inspired by Brandon Lee's performance.
This scene is fantastic, only thing I would have changed, is when he gets shot up and falls off the table, he should have slowly got up with all this blood oozing out and said "I feel no pain gentlemen, only bliss in the pursuit of righteousness" a slow smile, and then a hail of bullets
Destro7000 I think what it is, is that this movie has such great lines, scenes, and cuts (like this one) that could have been even MORE legendary if they just added a bit of extra dialogue here and there. I feel you guys on your passion for the film ,it is wonderful, but i'm looking at it from a director's point of view. What extra angles or dialogue could have been added to emphasize the scene to an even more dramatic effect.

Having just watched The Crow on Blu-Ray recently, I beg to differ, it has not lost it's touch. Its a very grim, gritty and violent tale and it does have more emotion than the Dark Knight (which I also enjoy). Flavour of the month, I love the way you come up with these quotes lol.
