M.E. is the last mechanical engineer on earth. Inseparable from the buildings and machines he services. Tired of being alone. To finally rest his only recourse may be to overload the very machines he was built to protect and serve. Recorded and filmed in Hollywood January 2010.
M.E. originally recorded on the Pleasure Principal album in 1979.
Great to see and hear another generation appreciating Mr. Numan's incredible music!

Fine work indeed. Not a Numan fan anymore (but impressed a 10 year old kid back in 79) but still love the 78-80 era of his work. It's actually pretty grand to hear what this would have sounded like with guitars (something PP needed imo) instead of the experimental approach this album took.
Wow...that is quite simply stunning. Both musically and visually. Every time I hear one your covers I am stunned by the quality of what you do, Tim. And you always put such amazing visuals with them too.

ive been a fan of garys from the day 1 & i dont generally give the time of day to covers, with the possible exeption of synthsounds but i have to say these are very very good indeed. it is easy to see that a lot of work has gone into them & it shows! well done, keep them coming!
Just listened to this for the tenth time. Absolutely amazing. Please support this guy, he is doing incredible work. FYI - I am just a fan, no vested interested, but I have been listening to the Numan covers he has done for the last hour, and they are faultless. Stands beside the originals, but deserve to be listened to in their own right, as Timothy has clearly found a way to bring something new to these amazing songs, while still honouring the originals. Enjoy

Adds warmth to the original, although naturally comes nowhere near bettering it. Good effort all the same.

This is a good version of the song but the original is about a machine, etc, the original was so mechanised as to be believable this is to organic and sentimental. The machine does not feel!
