Oh how I love this! Three years late but it’s finally come up on my feed. What I wouldn’t give to have this house or talent to make my own. Just spectacular. Thanks so much for sharing.
Stunning detail and craftmanship, a gem i am sure will last for years to come and will eventually be placed in a museum where it can be enjoyed for many years, I can only dream of owning a little place like that!
I am in awe of this stunning house along with the appropriate music it was a sheer joy taking a tour with you. Your gift of creating such a beautiful house is awesome. thank you so much for sharing with us
This has got to be one of my favourites that I have seen, you have made it so authentic and loved the narrative too, plus the music has pulled it together, loved the tour, thank you.
Thank you for the fantastic tour! Loved listening to you describing the daily lives of a Tudor family. Recently, I wanted to visit ‘Barley Hall in York, but I messed the tickets up. The craftsmanship is a credit to you❤️
Oh, how delightful. Your house is so full of interesting authentic details and so masterfully created. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing miniature house.
Wow 🤩 The craftsmanship is absolutely astonishing! You did an amazing job with this project! And it was so interesting! I learned a lot from you, thank you so much!
I absolutely love it! I have a dollhouse kit that I plan on turning into a Tudor house, this video will be very useful in that endeavour. Thanks so much!
I’ve just discovered your video and cannot express the pleasure it’s given me. I am presently attempting a small Tudor room and couldn’t decide on the wall decoration but now I can set about it knowing how an authentic home would look. I am intrigued by the tapestry and wonder how it’s made? Wish I could have a tutorial workshop with you as I stumble along doing my own version and using such basic tools that my miniatures are only passable. It must have taken so long to complete your lovely house. Have you done any others?
Thank you for welcoming us into your home. I enjoyed everything! Your home is very cozy and charming. The food made me hungry! Lol...loved your narrative. The detail is amazing!. The soot around the fireplace and the flickering candles and fire. If you see this comment could you tell me how long did it take to build and where did you get your inspiration from? You must have been a Tudor in a past life. Lol. Peace and love from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.❤😊 Thank you once again.
Hi Alena, It was a fill in job when I fancied it so it took several years plus research. We did go to Stratford on Avon getting inspiration which was very useful. Thanks for your lovely comments.
Hi Chris- you messaged me on another of your videos. The Astolat Castle dolls' house that was on display in New York City is apparently worth 8.5 million dollars, and is featured on a short video on you-tube. I think your Tudor house is more interesting.
This is really beautifully done.Your craftsmanship on it is extremely good. The details throughout were excellent and I like the use of stencils to decorate the top of the walls in the Great Room, dining room.A very nice touch..The kitchen looked fabulous, but I don’t think I could live without things we have now.A more comfortable life.I also liked how you kept everything to character in the bedroom. You certainly researched this out when you started this one.Did you also make all the furnishings for the fire place too, pan, poker etc as well as the grate?.I should imagine getting things for the inside of miniature doll housed of this period would be really difficult.I think it’s amazing and I love it.Thank you for showing it.🥰
Thanks for your lovely comments Christine, I made everything in the house (including video 😀) except the carpet on the wall covering and one wicker basket. The fire irons I made from copper painted black. Thanks
Phenomenal craftsmanship! The period details and explanations provide such realism. The etymology lessons are fun! Did you take any process photos or videos? I would love to see how you accomplished all this. (It's on my bucket list to create something similar - a Tudor stationer's shop.)
Hi Whitney, because you've asked there are some random pictures here of various stages. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1IMba6-H4Y5ymqd_eaEx8r76U0CGkxo5m?usp=sharing
Lovely work, I nearly purchased a Tudor dollhouse but at four hundred pounds 40 years ago, no. Would have preferred a picture of queen elizabeth then Anne of Cleve’s. I just love all your work it’s so interesting and full of life. Have now subscribed.
I didn't hear if you mentioned the floors what they were made from & the layout pattern. I hope you added & didn't make your kids wear the ruffs. Also it might be your Tudor is haunted, considering the moving hanging pan, rocking horse & the round a round 🤔 Great Build‼️💗
The floors were all on oak beams and planks except the kitchen. That was a compound, hand scored and then coloured and sealed. Haunted, maybe, my 4 year old grandson called it the scary house and keeps asking to look inside.
Hi Carol, the tapestry is the only thing I have bought from an exhibition years ago. So. I can't help although I have made everything else. I am at the moment making a second house model which is a watermill and bakery but it will be a while yet. You can always try contacting me here. Thanks
WELL DONE. Most of the houses are either Victorian or modern, or an example of a modern family that likes vintage things (which is what the one I’m working on is), and I’ve seen a small handful of houses that are either 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s. and I saw one house that had a Tudor exterior, but a whimsical interior, but this is the first authentic Tudor I’ve seen. I actually like ALL of the kinds I’ve listed, but this was an enjoyable change. How is the house staying up? It looks like it’s coming from the wall, but I don’t see a stand under it.
Hi Anya, its just that I've always been able to use my hands and enjoy a challenge! You can see some here ua-cam.com/play/PLx_Vgn-TQYOxw664yHCSRMjvw2KD1e4QT.html
Dear Chris , I'm in Love You Beautiful Detailed Tudor House . I do Shadow Boxes & Dioramas . I'm not good at lighting them . How did you do the lighting please 💡? Best Regards , Judy Starr Manhattan , NY TY so much ...
Hi Judy. I used a phone charger for power and used leds hidden behind the beams. The candles are flickering leds with hot melt glue shaping over the top.
Most of the building was delightfully executed, however the servants quarters were horrid! They need wooden beds, not pallets, in a larger room, maybe an attic annexe linking. My only other gripe was the suckling pig didn't look real & delicious, it should be a maple like colour, & glistening. Otherwise, it was utterly charming, my favourite things are the A frame structure & beams! 😊
As mentioned in the video there was the garde robe which essentially was a jutting out first floor structure and your excretions dropped through a hole onto the ground below!
I can't believe the level of realism and detail! I'm very impressed and inspired for my dollhouse
Amazing and educational. I will use your historical insights to add details to my Mordheim ruined city terrain for wargaming. This work is priceless.
This should be in a museum! It truly is a masterpiece and a wonder!
This is absolutely wonderful! The craftsmanship and attention to detail is stunning!
What a wonderful house and tour. The details are amazing, loved the child’s walk around.
Oh how I love this! Three years late but it’s finally come up on my feed. What I wouldn’t give to have this house or talent to make my own. Just spectacular. Thanks so much for sharing.
Charming. I enjoyed the video very much.
Absolutely stunning whoever has the privilege of playing with this house is so lucky, thankyou for sharing
It is magical!!!.. You have every right to be proud as your attention to detail is breathtaking!.. This made my day!.. Thank you for sharing...❤️
What a truly wonderful video. The Hall is magnificent, no detail spared...absolutely charming.
Simply delightful. A lovely depiction of a Tudor style home. I really liked the roasting pig on the spit and the poor goose awaiting the axe.
Stunning detail and craftmanship, a gem i am sure will last for years to come and will eventually be placed in a museum where it can be enjoyed for many years, I can only dream of owning a little place like that!
This was wonderful. You’re a true craftsman.
Absolutely magnificent! You, sir, are incredibly gifted. This has to be one of the most beautiful houses I have seen.

Потрясающая детализация! Я в полном восторге!! Спасибо!

Gorgeous work! What amazing detail and wonderful narration to this tour. Thank you for sharing with us!
AMAZING. I've never seen this style house before. Beautiful job capturing the essence of time
I love this house and having made a Tudor house myself, I know precisely what went into making it. Fantastic!
Your knowledge, creativity and eye for detail are wonderful, your talent really is quite exceptional!!👏👏👏
Wow 🤩 The craftsmanship is absolutely astonishing! You did an amazing job with this project! And it was so interesting! I learned a lot from you, thank you so much!

Fabulous! Such attention to detail, a real gem. This deserves way more views, it's wonderful.
Fire crane, that's what that thing is called. This is wonderful!!
Thats correct, if I'd thought in time I'd have mentioned it! Thanks for your comments.
@@chris-ward I think modern houses with fireplaces should still have that fire crane so you could heat your home and cook over the fire if necessary.
A very lovely re-creation. ❤
The Tudor homes are so cool, we don't have any in New Zealand. Very well done.
Love the exposed structure of the house under the wattle and daub!
Wonderful work. Thank you for sharing this.
Wow, this is amazing! The intricate details? Congratulations! And the comment is very entertaining😀
Such a cute showing! I love all things mini and this is exquisite!
amazing work! well done Chris
This video was wonderful fun!! Your work is impressive. Thank you.
Thank you. What a marvelous way to learn history!
What a beautiful piece of art!
I never saw the like! I really enjoyed the tour. Thanks. I loved the music with it
I have just found your channel and one word….WOW. I can only dream to be as good as your skills.
This is fantastic!
Well done
Oh, how beautiful! I LOVE IT ❤️👏
Everything is so beautifully to scale and detailed that it is easy to forget that it is not a real house that I am touring.

What a very lovely job you did. Amazing realism.👍🏻🌹
wonderful detail and knowledge
Beautiful work and I love the explanation of where some of our words originated. TFS
Amazing! You are very talented, sir. For a few minutes, I forget it was a dollhouse.
The Goose waiting to get its Head 😳 Chopped Off...seems a little Morbid! 😂
WOW beautiful!!!
Very amusing.

Fantastic piece of art..love the beams and great attention to detail of the period !
Thanks Elaine, I tried hard and researched to make it as authentic as possible.
Delightful, although I think the potatoes in the kitchen must gave been time-travelling
Stunning
Absolutely gorgeous!! You did a fantastic job!
This was delightful! Thanks for letting me inside.
Loved this! Thank you!

if theres one thing covid has been good for its things like this,
have you made any other minatures? Love your work. Tell us more about you and how you got into this!

Hi Judy. I used a phone charger for power and used leds hidden behind the beams. The candles are flickering leds with hot melt glue shaping over the top.
This is absolutely fantastic. Do you make them for other people?
That would make it very expensive and not viable for most buyers. ;-)
As of late, I am fixated with smells, what did Tudor homes smell like?
Me encantaria tener una casa como esta

Was there no bathroom or toilet in tudor house back then? Were those usually built in different building?
As mentioned in the video there was the garde robe which essentially was a jutting out first floor structure and your excretions dropped through a hole onto the ground below!
@@chris-ward oh right you did mention that about toilet. What about bathroom? Was that only commonly found in wealthy tudor houses?
@@lawlicht8092 Bathroom is a copper bath in the bedroom which would be bucket filled.
great building, but potatoes came to England some 40 years later
better if you took the music out
Extraordinary!
