thanks for uploading this. as a fine art graduate and a marxist leninist for nearly 10 years (embarassing to type, but it's true), i totally understand how he felt. reading economic history books somehow has made me a better artist. it helps you see past the marketing campaigns/consumerism a lot better. although that still doesn't change the economic system we live under that increasingly makes artists have less control over earning a living to create true work.
