I noticed a lot of people have trouble with this achievement and the videos here are just a bunch of game play with nobody explaining the reasoning behind the moves and tactics used. In this video I explain how to do this achievement, the reasoning behind my decisions, and the strategy I employ. I find it a lot easier to have something visual with verbal explanation rather than just blindly following a video without understanding the strategy.
Might do more SC2 achievement videos if users want more.

I had to pause at the "Broadcast that Mengsk is a dick" remark, I don't know why but I couldn't stop laughing
He does it with a low framerate and hardly any research tech like mules and tech reactor.
I have all the good tech and a fast pc and I'm still having a lot of trouble with this achievement.
Props to the guy.
Great video man! Btw that thing with the siege tanks going siege mode on the Broadcast tower is not necessary and a nice tip if you dont have any: Just press "H" and they won't move. :P

Did you kill base 1 with the Odin? I think that if you kill the air base you won't get attacked by air units, if you kill the mech base you won't be attacked by mech etc.
@Mads8639 Yeah but the units coming at you are mostly heavy armor units, and tanks deal a full 50 damage to heavy armor when in siege mode and just outright more damage in general, plus splash. You have Thor and Odin and marines to handle anything that would get close to your tanks, so siege is very necessary =)
Thank you.. although, the video framerate is slightly worse than the in-game framerate was. However, I didn't use mules, and honestly the upgrades were less important than the units. This mission is more about the units and unit positioning and less about tech. Good luck!
i HAVE TRIED this exact strategy 10 times in a row..TO THE T of the exact timing he hits and begins engaging the broadcast download marking. no matter what I ALWAYS end up over the 20 min mark by the time i CAN start the last broadcast mark. i dont get it..you must have upgraded your odin or something. that's y i hate sc2. i never have a clue what i should upgrade before the next mission.
Different way to get the achievement:
Requirements Odin alive and 3 thors, 1 armory and all available mercs
Odin attack top left base, starting with bottom resource base pushing up then try to barrage as well as you can, by the time suprised attack finish, Odin will have low hp, start the vehicle armor upgrade and 1 thor, make 6 scvs, and summon all the mercenaries when they are ready. Using odin, lead an attack with 2 scvs repair, DO NOT stop attacking unless he is so low in hp. Repeat the steps for rest except don't have to clear out bases
Where can I get these siege mode SCV's?
@chronofusion Uh I didnt upgrade Odin at all. If you're starting each broadcast perfectly on time with me and still starting the third over 20 minutes, then you're hitting a hitch in attacking the third base or having enough units when you hit the third base. Remember I have Odin being repaired and tanking damage while tanks clean up everything in the back. Keep trying man, this achievement took me awhile to master.

I hate how I don't have seige tanks for this level
This is way harder than it looks. My Thor keeps dying on the incline of the first broadcast attack. So far I've tried this 20 times.
why, instead of banshees, at min 11 i am attacked with DBs and tanks?

Yes I am struggling to get the 20 minutes too. The best I can do is 23 minutes.
@drummerjacob I dunno man =\ Maybe they've altered unit damage in updates after I posted this.

I have played this from the start and finished the 3rd upload just before the 20:00 minute mark a few times but then it takes a few seconds for the mission to complete so I fail.
When I did this the starting enemies rnt clumped together
i dont know whats going on but ive done this on hard more than 15 times in a row now (ive beaten it on hard/normal and casual in the past so I know this map well) but no matter WHAT I do, my odins life gets to the 1750-1680 range every single time no matter what. I have experimented with doing the cannon behind and in front of the marines, and what seems to be the best is just in the middle, yet im still not able to run off with over 1800 + like you. what am i doing wrong? its pissing me off
I have no idea. Updates? Harder mode?
@p2eas3 Why do it on Brutal when it says you only have to do it on Hard? :)
@lexatwo I have the armor upgrade that makes it regenerate itself.

this still works only it's a little bit more hard but the ideea is the same

At the 3rd tower, i have a lot of BC,and i cant complete it under 20 minutes becouse of that :(

This is my 12001201219th try using your strategy and It's not working. My base is not getting attack by what attacked you. I'm getting a ton of DBs and STs.
yay, i have automatic refinery and those addons that work as tech and double yield :) mmuch easier now.

and mules for healing thors so much easier

This is the hardest level in SC2
something is fu**ed up with this guide man, im playing on hard and have been attacked by many more banshees than u. i suppose that ur playin on easy level or normal? reaching first tower also met many more opponents!
