    Sooo cool! Enjoyed it very much and yeah, put a smile to my face :-) Great video. All the editing time paid off, Mark. You know I love the Tamiya speed runs and especially with good editing. Ha ha, great ime with the police. Was that Rob laughing like a naughty schoolboy when realizing it was the police that almost got hit? Ha ha, so funny. Great to see the difference. Ohh, man, the video shot filmed from the tripods on the ground with the Absima Eco looked insane. If that was a 1/1 Fiat 500 with scale speed the driver would definitely have been scared :-) And I actually just waited to see the RC flip over. I have a hard time controlling my M-03M Fiat 500 with just the 27T silver can on narrow roads. Great video! Loved it!

      Thanks so much for the great comment, Mikael - sorry that I reminded you of this upload, but I know how hard it is to keep abreast of all the thousands of videos on UA-cam! Yeah, Rob has an infectious laugh, always chuckling when things go wrong - that's just one of the things that I love about him! And the low mounted tripod shots are a favourite of mine (as if you hadn't guessed!) because they really show the speed of the little RC's. So pleased that you enjoyed it my friend, have a very good week, read you soon! :))

      Mark Bryan RC Love when you two guys go together for some RC footage. And yeah, pleeease remind me if I miss out on something. I knew you where working on the vid to be up Friday, and I’ve been looking forward to it since the first take with the small pinion, but somehow I apparently was able to miss out on it anyway. Cheers Rob! Yeah, we got so much footage over those 3 days, I think I have about 2 more hours in the can!!! And I thought the police were gonna give us a right telling off too, like "Do you realise it's illegal to drive at almost 30mph in a public park, Sir?" Haha, but I think they found 2 grown men playing with a little blue car very funny! No probs with the shout out my friend, I couldn't have done it without you bro! :))

    The Sound when passing by the Camera ... I love it. Good evening Mark.Nice to see which effects have different gear ratios. 45 Km/h ,thats really fast .The 360 degree rotation in the beginning really impressed me (like Ken Block at his best) :-) ..I really enjoy your Video and I hope that the beautiful Fiat (after all the accidents) is not so badly damaged. Reminds me of when i was a youngster visiting family in Italy and my cousin had an ancient blue 500 that he would drive everywhere. I’m pretty sure that topped out at around 28mph and took an eternity to stop.
    Nice one!!

      @MarkBryanRC  6 років тому

    Ah nice to enjoy a new Mark Bryan video on a Friday with a pint and some crisps. So were the police going to do you for speeding in the park, lol ? I'm looking at this on my big PC monitor rather than my phone and it does look like a rough old bit of tarmac. I wonder if you'd get more speed on a smoother surface? Still 28mph is bloody quick for a little car. My Mini looked quite quick at 17mph. I did cringe at the crash but all seems to be ok. Anyway I need to top up on beer and crisps. Hope you are having an equally unhealthy Friday mate :-)

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC  6 років тому +1

      Hi there Pete! Sorry I didn't reply last night - went over to Robs and drank far to many beers - as usual, Had a very spicy chilli too - as usual! Mate, that clip was genuine, I was concentrating on driving the Fiat so much, I didn't see the Rozzers until I was about 20 feet from them, I was sure I was gonna hit one of them! But they saw the funny side and had a chuckle with us, pity Rob had stopped videoing as he also was worried that they were gonna complain! Yeah, I am determined to top 30mph on a smooth surface, it certainly feels at least that fast when driving, but any little steering input when flat out and over she goes! Had a lovely unhealthy Friday evening, thanks mate! :))

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC 6 років тому +1

      @@MarkBryanRC Ha, I'm sure the police have got better things to do than tell off grown men for playing with toy cars in the park! With your old wibbly wobbly radio, are you able to change the steering rate so that it only steers a little bit? On the newfangled 2.4ghz ones you can dial it down so it wouldn't be so twitchy on a speed run. Anyway it made for a fun vid. I managed to get out for a couple of hours RC'ing with Ric yesterday afternoon before it got dark. I've put some led's on the firestorm so I can actually see it at dusk. It's that soggy time of year and the cars get filthy so I've got a box of muddy cars. Sounds like you had a good evening of beer and spicy food. I did too. Got the works xmas meal tonight so more beer! Meanwhile a bit more prep in the garage before the builder comes on Monday. Have a good evening mate :-)

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC  6 років тому +1

      Change the steering rate? Whats that then? Haha! Sadly, no can do - the pitfalls of being an RC dinosaur mate! Glad you got out RCing, just praying for good weather tomorrow to give the Mitsubishi a run now it's got a motor that actually works! Yeah, ground will still be soggy, so lots of cleaning to do. Good luck with the building work for the new man-cave - and a good evening to you too my friend.

    I certainly enjoyed seeing the Fiat´s antics - it was doing heroic work, right on the ragged edge, trying to break the 30mph barrier...I reckon with a dry surface and no giant-scale leaves it would´ve done it, too.

      @MarkBryanRC  6 років тому

      Hi Del, you got it in one mate! I was desperate for it to hit 30mph, it was so close, I tried and tried, but it wasn't to be. So that is a mission for next year, the Fiat 500 WILL top 30mph, if it kills me! :))

      @@MarkBryanRC Thanks, Mark; I´m sure you´ll do it. I have an M06 and an ancient M03. When it comes to doing top speed runs I´ve noticed that it´s easier to get up to speed when driving the FWD car - the M06 tries to swap ends when it spins out, whereas the M03 just carries on in a straight(ish) line. I think FWD might be a bit of a straight-line stability secret weapon.

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC  6 років тому

      Well, Del, you got it spot-on when you wrote "straight(ish) line" !!! Yeah, that's very good point, I think that FWD is pulling the car forward as opposed to RWD pushing is the key element to the stability!
