Hey Bruno, Im going into my final year as a computer science student at Aston University. Im quite nervous 😓. I achieved a 2:1 in second year and I am aiming for a first or 2:1 overall. Do you have any advice/tips that can help me?
Yes, my advice is, aim for a 1st. Then double the amount of work you have put in some far and stay focused because you have one year left until you finish. Also, have a good balance by doing things that doesn't involve uni work every time.
Hello, Bruno. Thank you very much for your excellent video. I have a lot of questions about Aston University and life in Birmingham. How can I ask you questions?
Hi Bruno I am looking towards getting into cybersecurity and saw that MSC in Computer science with professional experience at Aston university. Can you provide some insights about the msc ? If you know of someone and if you could share his experience regarding the MSC in CS at Aston Uni?
Hi, I didn’t do a master but it’s the same thing as an undergraduate degree except you do one or two extra years. I can’t talk much about cybersecurity as I didn’t study it nor I know anyone who did from my school. Sorry buddy. Happy to help with any other questions.
Hello Bruno, great video btw, I’ve got a question, I’m looking to go into cs, however do not have maths or cs a level, does Aston teach the course from the start? (Beginner) , I’ve heard most unis do , so it shouldn’t be a problem
@@iambrunosimao thanks , this has reassured my decision , mainly because I have little to zero knowledge on computer science and from not doing it at a level, but if it’s taught from scratch then that should be fine
Mate, those specs are good enough! Also, remember, the Uni offers great laptop to students now. So, if you don't have the money then take advantage of that.
@@prosmarttech8734 I heard somewhere that 16GB ram would be needed for a computer science degree. I am worried about 8GB but the price differences are huge
Sometimes I get surprised at how people still message me on here :) Anyways, Aston uni is great IMO, great diversity, a great night out, Birmingham is a great city and Aston Campus is right in the city center, so you get to explore everything within it. Academically Aston is doing really well, and most people work at very well-known companies, etc. And yes, there's a men and women basketball team.
To be honest, for CS you'll be in most days. And only roughly 2-4 hours per day. Some days you might be in only for 1-2 hours. Really depends sometimes.
Hey i was wondering about how's Aston University? Are there any Scope for computer science students after graduating. What's more important to get a job in Birmingham or in London for freshers.
Good luck on your educational pursuit and UA-cam channel!
Thank you so much sir 😊
this is a wondeful video bro
Thank you man, really appreciate it
This honestly is pretty cool! Just a suggestion, in many of the shots, we can see your camera holder, if you could work on that, would be amazing!
Appreciate your feedback :)

Hello, Bruno. Thank you very much for your excellent video. I have a lot of questions about Aston University and life in Birmingham. How can I ask you questions?
Hi, yeah shoot your questions. I am more than happy to help.
Should I fall in love with mathematics to get computer science degree?
Nope. Not at all.
You don’t have to, but if you do (like i did), you will likely want to pursue a degree in mathematics

Yes, absolutely! It’s a bonus to have them but it is not necessary as everything is taught from scratch. So, yes it wouldn’t be a problem 😊

@@notsure3081did you do computer science then ? How was it at Aston ?
If you don't mind me asking, what kinds of topics do you learn about here?
I'm doing a BSc at my University but the course topics seem rather basic.
Hiya, you can find all the modules I did study here www.aston.ac.uk/study/courses/computer-science-bsc
@@iambrunosimao thank you!
hey man, if you dont mind me asking, how were you making money while studying at aston uni? great vid btw
Mainly UA-cam. And other side gigs. Also, there's a lot of student jobs available around Birmingham in this case.
@@iambrunosimao thanks mate
Hi there, I am looking to buy a laptop for computer science degree next year, Will 8GB ram be enough, ryzen 5 4600h, 1440p screen
Same should be enough I guess? I’m gonna be getting the 2013 MacBook Pro i7 16gb ram seen some good deals on it

How many lectures in a day?
1-3 max. And sometimes there are no lectures. Just labs and seminars.
Hi Bruno, Can you suggest me some nearest living place, so that I can stay connected with University easily.I'm going to join Aston next September
First year? My suggestion is always to stay on campus first year. You will meet a lot more people and it makes the journey much easier.
How many days a well do you have to go in for? And roughly what times?
To be honest, for CS you'll be in most days. And only roughly 2-4 hours per day. Some days you might be in only for 1-2 hours. Really depends sometimes.

What's more important to get a job in Birmingham or in London for freshers.
IMO you can easily get a job with Aston Uni degree in London. However, the living cost is crazy over there. Thus, stay in Birmingham.
Hi Bruno..you have completed MSc in Computer science right.? I am aspirant with same subject and university. Would like connect with you
Hiya, no, I've got a BSc in CS. And I'm more than happy to answer any questions 😃
Hello bruno
Can i talk with you?
Hello, yes we can chat here. How can I help?
That lakers team 💀
If I have free accommodation so do you recommend London or Birmingham but I don't have free accommodation in Birmingham in Cybersecurity field ?
Of course accommodations are very expensive. If you have one that is free in London, then go London and save some money.
