Kasey! You're the best! So kind of you to give me a shout-out in the video.
It was great bumping into you that day and I've been waiting to see the wood duck footage. Oh my gosh you got me laughing so hard describing the wizard bird and stripey bird and all that. Here's what they were:
2:25 White-throated sparrow (though he does look like he could be the wizard of the bird world)
3:05 American tree sparrow (the bi-coloured bill along with the red stripey crown gives it away)
It was so fun watching that squirrel build that nest. I can't even count the number of times it went up that tree with leaves while we were standing there. I've seen it since, and it's definitely enjoying its tree loft.
As for the photographer-meets-Canadian-tiger, I figured it's like some people 'throwing in the towel', only this poor, frustrated photographer, being without a towel, decided to throw in the glove instead. I guess we'll never know the true story.
Great video and looking forward to the next one!
    P.S. You are hilarious.

    Your birds are:
    @ 2:35 - White-throated Sparrow
    @ 3:00 - American Tree Sparrow
You are actually correct in saying the Wood Ducks look like Mandarin Ducks. They're closely related and are the only two species in their genus.

For me wildlife photography is therapy for the stress in life. I have the Sony a6700 with the same 200-600 that you have and it's a magical combo for photos and video. I grabbed some 4k120 video of a Pileated Woodpecker making a nest and the footage just blew me away. I can't wait to get out at any opportunity for some therapy. Thanks for the video.

For the longest time I would enjoy my coffee in the morning wondering what bird I heard with such a loud, complex and spectacular song. It turned out to be a song sparrow, I was amazed it was such a small bird filling the air with so much life. I, as I am sure many others also, can identify any birds by their call, Blue Jay's, Robbins, Cardinals, Redwinged Black Birds, Doves, Chicadees, and many others, but I never knew what bird it was that sang so increadibly, untill I hunted around in the nearby trees and then saw that tiny sparrow on a wire singing her little heart out. Nature offers so much fantastic and complex beauty, it's allways a better day when you get to enjoy even just a little of it.

My theory about the glove, it was a photographer all right. Theory 1: He probably wandered ten feet off the trail and became hopelessly lost. During the frosty cold weather, he was forced to eat himself and the glove is all that was left. Theory 2: He was consumed by an angry flock of wood ducks in revenge for the Chinese bakery incident.

Collaborating or even just getting out and working with like minded people who share an interest but with different skill sets and understandings allways makes for opportunities to find deeper meaning or enjoyment. Some say your getting old when you develope a fondness for birding or landscapes and nature, it's actually a sign of greater consideration outside the confirmation and development of EGO. I find this kind of connection with nature and ellements of the environment very grounding. This footage is fantastic, I get lots of great shots when I'm out with my Photography tools, I would really like too develope a better video capture process, I have to find the perfect Camera for that. Just went on Olympus Canada website and looked at the 150-400mm f/4.5 tc1.25 pro IS, ever since it came out it was listed at $9,999.99 which was expensive but at a competitive price, overnight OM systems has jacked the price up of that lens by $10,000 which makes it more expensive than equivalent lenses from full frame systems, which is absolutely crazy, now the new price is $19,999.99 Canadian dollars which is astronautical if someone wants that type of lens why would they buy a micro 4/3 lens when they can go full frame, this just does not make sense, wondering if they stop manufacturing this lens.

@ 1:15 you're asking us about the face colors. My last comment was Canon always looks anemic, and I don't know why people say it has the best color science, when it seems to be missing something. I finally found a word to express it and that is Anemia/Anemic and pale looking. It might have to do with their white balance being pretty "dead on balls accurate" and white is always white, whereas every other camera manufacturers whites look a little grey. But that being said, Fuji used to turn red eyes into white-whites of the eyes in JPEGS for some bizarre reason.
Canon takes away the golden hour, and makes it look anemic and reds are pale and blues are pale - its their look to their footage. This sort of, you're in a religious cult at their Crystal Cathedral in glowing white gowns and suits.
Sony puts on some golden hour at all times of the day, in fact a lot of them do golden hour white balance, except Pentax.
