You definitely do not need to shower every day. People have a variety of factors to their smell: dirtyness, age, activity level, environment, ambient temperature, pathogen balance, schedule, and genetics. It bothers me to see the level of people's disgust towards other people's cleaning patterns sometimes as if their needs/comfort level/abilities should be projected onto society as the standard, most likely because they have been brainwashed by ads that they need products and shouldn't smell etc.
Consider a hypothetical: people who are disabled have difficulty regularly bathing, should we all go, "eww your stinky and gross, do better!" She really needs to dial it back on her disgust cause that doesn't fly in the real world and comes off very disconnected. If I was at a party and heard someone talking about other people like that, I would have to set them straight. Don't talk to people like that, keep your expectations off of others, you also shouldn't be so confident when you sound condescending, privileged, delicate, and disconnected.
The op just needs to bring it up with his gf, tell her how he feels, and try and come up with a solution or compromise.
