I usually had them in an alcohol bath. I understand you can also do a bleach bath. Once used in class, I would have the students use a Clorox wipe on the tools at the end of each class. We also had an autoclave in the department, but it was so old, I did not trust it. For glassware and other tools, we used the dishwasher we had in the department also. For the dissection trays, I actually set them on a cook top, set the temperature low, and melted the wax, then let it reset.
Most high quality dissection tools will be produced with stainless steel so rust shouldn't be a major problem, In terms of cleaning I typically wash them off in a tub of distilled water, put them in a tub of bleach rinse them again and autoclave them. The reason I do that with them is because I am a biologist and when I take tissue samples I want to minimize risk of contamination of the samples. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. I usually had them in an alcohol bath. I understand you can also do a bleach bath. Once used in class, I would have the students use a Clorox wipe on the tools at the end of each class. We also had an autoclave in the department, but it was so old, I did not trust it. For glassware and other tools, we used the dishwasher we had in the department also. For the dissection trays, I actually set them on a cook top, set the temperature low, and melted the wax, then let it reset.
Most high quality dissection tools will be produced with stainless steel so rust shouldn't be a major problem, In terms of cleaning I typically wash them off in a tub of distilled water, put them in a tub of bleach rinse them again and autoclave them. The reason I do that with them is because I am a biologist and when I take tissue samples I want to minimize risk of contamination of the samples.
