Calm at Sea | HD Trailer

Set in Nazi-occupied France in 1941, and based on a true story, Calm at Sea follows a young Frenchman who is sentenced to death, along with 26 of his countrymen, in retaliation for the death of a German officer.
Written and directed by Academy Award winning director Volker Schlöndorff (Voyager, The Tin Drum, Swann in Love), he dramatizes his story with additional perspectives from the officials in charge, and the German soldiers tasked with carrying out the execution.
Distributed by Corinth Films, Calm at Sea premieres February 22, 2014 at the Providence French Film Festival.
