Not just the fact he folded the fives....bro put in 3/4 of his stack THEN folded lmao. If your plan is not to call a jam after that bet sizing 100% of the time than idk what youre doing
@@menamarina8368 u pot committed urself, just put it in. If he has it then he has it. If u werent gonna call a raise then why even bet in the first place.
I'm a nit, I'd have folded as well. With how the hand was played, I'd have assumed I was up against KJ. Why the re-raise on the river in that manner? I have to assume that was a value bet.
the way it is played is also hilarious. Chidwick knows he can be (and will be) beat here often enough but cannot miss value in case his opponent has QJ or J10 so says okay, if I am beat here's the extra 75k but if I am good I want it. this does look strong but knowing one of the best in the world would play AJ this way I can never fold a full house like ever. like what better spot are you hoping for.
I don’t think he’s getting called by hands like J10, I mean obv not since he folded 55 but regardless of knowing that I don’t think hands like that are calling, too thin
If the Russian was concerned with Chidwick having a better boat or even Quads he could have easily checked on that river and let Chidwick bet the river in a fashion of extracting value, most likely in the region of 60% to 80%, believing the Russian has either checked with a missed flush draw or having Jx inferior to his AJ. In that case a call from the Russian would have been easy and not with his tournament life in jeopardy. Instead he bets the river targeting a hand with a J that isn't a boat. Just a bizarre line all around especially from someone playing in those kind of stakes. From Chidwick perspective, i'm pretty sure he wasn't putting the Russian on a full house but more likely on a hand with a J like QJ, J10, Jx and opted to go for it all probably believing that a boat overbets that river representing polarized hands, a missed flush draw or a boat.
yes chidwick can have KJ and KK maybe even J5 sooted (though doubtful in this circumstance). I don't understand the river sizing because a jam can rep the value and the missed draws in case a hand like QJ and AJ gets stubborn and you're nowhere near the money so it's not like you're trying to save anything if you're beat to try and squeak in. This is an absolute torch with a full house in holdem and in PLO you'd never play 5's full this strong multiway. tough to be the spot in a high roller but thems the breaks
Lord have mercy 🙄 This gave me anxiety 😂 That’s a dream spot for 55 I woulda got all my money in the middle sooo fast 😂🤷🏾♂️ Wtf man 😒 good play Chidwick…. Cause I wouldn’t fold AJ either 😂
This is hilarious, speaking as someone who has literally played millions of hands of poker online, two card full houses are pretty rare, not often run into them unless the board is particularly top heavy on all streets. You get it in with the 5s cause you are almost always good here. I am not even going to put this one on Flopzilla as it's not even needed lol. Good job to this channel for pointing out how bad these commentators are on that poker show.
When they considered all the hands Viacheslav could have they didn't mention that he could also have AJ. He would probably play it the same way. It's just as likely he had AJ as KJ.
Stupid, stupid fold. Come to think of it, if Chidwick calls my backraise on the flop on such an asynchronous board, that tells me he's got a J, so why not just ship it on the turn? I'm only making that betsize on the river if I'm specifically trying to induce my opponent to shove, to which I'm always 100% calling.
@@AlexDuvall Thank you Weird, weird decision with such a hand I obviously don't play these stakes (I don't play for money at all 😂), but I've never seen this kind of bet anywhere before

In the defense of the commentators, they're basically stating what the average poker player would usually be thinking anyways as that's their target audience.
What a wuss that’s not playing poker. If there is only 2-3 hands that beat you and a ton he would still do that w thinking you could have a lower j. J-10 j-q. He had to set showing top top. But that was such a bull not call.
buldygin played it like a noob. like why even use that bet size? and then not defend to less than min raise?? this is clear lack of understanding of fundamentals and more of a feel player vibe. sure he looks like a hero when Stevie has a better full house. but if you are worried about it then why not check and then contemplate calling /folding. sure anyone can critic someones play but this to me seems very amateurish own even scared money play. or maybe it was an attempt to make a "legendary fold"?
My Russian needs some work 😅

yeah, you're pronouncing Vyacheslav's last name wrong. But it's not your fault, it's just how it's spelled in English, so yeah :D

The value bet bluff... by mistake...
I've never HATED a player I don't even know just from the way he eats at the table but here we are ...
So does he get any kind of tangible advantage by leaving that 76k behind? What are the tournament's rules? Can someone explain to me please?
In this case, he just decided not to go all in. No benefit. That’s just the size he chose. And it made chidwick think for sure he had the best hand.
