reLIVE nationals 18 / DANCEMAKERS Convention & Competition

We’re not sure how to begin, or if there are even words that will describe just how we feel about Nationals. Surely there are “words,” but it would take someone far more qualified to put them on paper.
We are in awe of this next generation. The way you handled yourselves and treated others. The way you greeted each other with sincere respect and admiration. The way you saw each other for the beautiful people they are was simply beautiful to witness. And to the teachers and studio owners. Wow. Just wow! We have never witnessed a more inspiring group of people. We are so extremely lucky to call you our clients, but most of all our friends.
We were united in a cause. To at the very least become better dancers, but at most to be better people. To create community. To create a space that made everyone feel important and heard. To have an environment that pushed every single person to be a little bit better version of themselves. And man did we far exceed those expectations. It was something that you could only truly understand if you were there to witness first hand. And for those of you who did, we will always have something special between us. For those of you who weren’t, we hope you will join us next year. But it was only possible to have our experience because of the work you all did leading up to Nationals. It was only because of every single one of you from every single city, that we were able to be wide open and receptive of all the things.
We thank every person who has walked through our doors and gone on the “journey” with us. It is only fitting that we now Stay The Path, hand in hand, heart to heart, and continue breaking down barriers. We hope that you will walk with us on that path. Until next time…
