Nice that you could take Skippy (your dog) with you. So many places don't allow pets. Also, LOVE that Sage got to see this!! It's something she will remember her whole life. These are the kinds of things children should be doing in school.
We were so happy that dogs were allowed 😀
I second that. I remember Ozark caves and Carlsbad also from when I was about her age. Unforgettable childhood memories.
Luray Caverns in Virginia has an organ underground that plays stalactites. It's the world's largest musical instrument.
Cool
We've been there. The tones made with little hammers on stalactites all around you is amazing.
@@barrya5191 awesome! I heard some people get upset about messing with the cave but it's just such a crazy idea and it works that i'm all for it.
Love this! Watching Sage enjoy this was so precious. It also took me back to the dark ages when I was a kid. I wasn't much younger than Sage the first time I went "spelunking" (actually a cave tour) in the Oregon Caves and I have never forgotten that experience. Back then we toured on foot without any protective rails or steps and some pretty slippery and gravely stuff under our feet but I still thought it was awesome. Keep making memories and God bless.
God bless you Jeanette 🙏❤️
So nice that you didn't have to walk through it because caves can be slippery suckers!!!😂
I've been to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, and it was awesome. It is much, much bigger than a cave, so anyone who is claustrophobic will be fine. Wear a jacket or sweater because it will be chilly.
We lived in Carlsbad for 5 1/2 years! And two weeks before having our 4th baby I walked to the bottom even!
I really want to see the cave John & Mercedes (and Sage) went to!
60 degrees year round in this cave
I'm with Mercedes. These caves are beautiful and I've done a couple of them, including nearby Ruby Falls, but they give me the heebie-jeebies!
Mercedes won’t be going again
The best part was seeing Sage and how much she was enjoying it. I’ve watched you for 4(?) years or so and I’m always so impressed with how God has blessed and grown her.
You were fortunate to have such a talented docent. She was great.
She was great ❤
How much are adult tickets?
$32
We always love the beauty of God's creation. Thanks for sharing.
We loved it
Sunday blessings 🙏, I'm siding with Mercedes on this one John , sorry but just watching the video gets my anxiety over the moon. I've had claustrophobic issues since the bullies from my childhood locked me in the trunk of a car . Its just not something that leaves you. Beautiful place though. Earth is for walking on , not walking in 😂... Thank you Mercedes, I'm going to use that one in the future 😀. Tomorrow is Memorial Day... God Bless America 🇺🇸 🙏❤. We need the Lords blessings now more than ever 🙏 🙌...
God bless🙏❤️🇺🇸
First time viewers. Enjoyed several of your videos so yes, we subscribed. We’ll probably bing watch your older videos to get caught up. We are relatively new to RVing…retired last year (auto mechanic). Bought a 2004 Country Coach DP and are doing the snow bird thing. Home base is in New Jersey. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Thank you for subscribing Don😀 Looking forward to reading your comments on our earlier videos. We share the good bad and ugly of RV’ing
Wow. I watched the whole video. Generally, for the longer videos, I simply listen to the audio while I do other stuff, and only catch a portion of the visual. This was captivating. I have been in abandoned Silver and Coal mines, which were made safe for tourists. Perhaps someday I can get back to the middle of the country and see the Fantastic Caverns. Thanks for the video.
Here's an idea, buy more equipment so you can give us a VR tour 🙂
Can’t afford more equipment on UA-cam salary😂🤣
Go the the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY! You'll love it!
Can’t wait❤️
I love caves. Thanks for sharing. We have gone to Ruby Falls in Tennessee, a Walking tour cave, Indian Caverns in PA also a walking tour, then Penns Cave in PA by boat. They are all unique but similarities. This was so cool getting to ride through it.
We’re going to Ruby falls next
There is a walk through cavern not too far from Thunder Canyon. Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Campground.
Added to our list. Thank you
It’s now on my bucket list! From Missouri and toured a few other caves but haven’t seen this one… looks amazing. Thank you for sharing!
We loved it
What? They didn't let you drive the RV through? I wanted to see Mercedes backing you out of a tight spot. 😂. Tennessee has lots of caves and they're close enough to Ider for a short trip.
We’re looking forward to more
We found out that we loved caves on our first tour years ago, and we have been to many throughout this great country, but not this one! Thank you for taking us along! Just splendid!
You’ll love this one
Love caves been to lots on west coast, going to see 2 caves in Tennessee in August-September. Like that you don’t have to walk a lot and ride instead.
We’re hooked
Your in Springfield mo. Have you been to Branson.?
We skipped Branson. Maybe next trip
I traveled cross country in my youth and I believe I stopped in at that particular cave. Totally enjoyed this video. Happy travels!
We loved it
wow great driver going around all those curves , im assuming that the small truck is electric , if others they should not be putting fumes out in that cave system .
Propane
Really, John - you know the earth isn't 100M years old 🙄
Who knows anything anymore
Very cool, thanks for sharing, now on my bucket list:-)
Go for it!
Drove by those billboards so many times, maybe one of these days I'll finally stop.😊
Must see and experience
That was one of our top caves. We’ve done 7 or 8 now. Good video coverage for sure. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Check out Cathedral Caverns near you in Alabama.
We’re planning on it😀
This is one of the few places where having the engine be electric would enhance the experience.
True!
Love caves been to lots on west coast, going to see 2 caves in Tennessee in August-September.
Sounds awesome
Fabulous! If you ever get a chance, Carlsbad is cool also.🙏
Yes 👍
Scary but beautiful!!! 🤩 i would do that tour!!!
You’ll love it
THANKS FOR RECORDING AND SHARING just wow such beautiful sites
I am just wondering why no hard hat is required.
Privately owned👍
Looking rested. These are the posts everyone needs now
❤️
WOW , They allowed you to film the entire tour
Yes😀
Impressive. When is John planning to move in?
Lol… if only 😂
👋😃 so awesome. Wow. Just wow. Thank you.
Thank you❤️
That was amazing!! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Y’all gotta go Stacy!
Thank you for sharing. Did not know about this cavern. Very cool for multiple reasons.
FYI, According to the Bible God created the Earth 6000 years ago not millions of years ago.
That was so much fun to see! Loved the history.
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad to see you guys having fun!!!
We had a blast😀
what was it that Sage said that was the big deal. I've replayed but can't make it out. It's good to see you all out adventuring again.....Happy Trails and Safe Travels...
With Mercedes, do not tell me😮 how far down
Only 200 ft🤣
Adding to my bucket list! Perhaps next year!
How far from St.Louis is this?
Heading to Cagary Stampede in a couple weeks and Yellowstone in September.
You have some incredible places to visit right in your area. Buck's Pocket, Sequoia Caverns in Valley Head (closed DANG), DeSoto Falls, Little River Canyon, Collinsville Trade Day, Noccalula Falls in Gadsden, Nasa Space Center in Huntsville and Ava Maria Grotto/Little Jerusalem in Cullman. Those are a few that my tired brain can think of tonight. Sending love from Jacksonville, Alabama! ❤
Wow! That was amazing, thanks for sharing! Going to Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park, NV in July but it's no comparison to this. Definitely putting this place on my bucket list!
Mercedes would like Carlsbad Caverns NM. It's not a cave , it's a cavern. High ceilings in most of it. Sage could watch bats at the bat cave . They exit nightly at sunset .
What an AWESOME tour. We will have do this one. Ms. sage is getting so big. Good job Mercedes !!!
What an amazing tour!! Sage is so blessed to be able to experience life and God's wonders outside the classroom. Thanks for sharing your incredible experience. ❤🙏
Very cool cave. I you want to visit another totally awesome cave checkout Cathedral Caverns between Ider and Huntsville. I see commercials are coming back to your videos...woohoo!
Great video! What an amazing, wonderous, beautiful world God has gifted to us. It's such a wonderful gift of experience that you gave your daughter.
Thanks for taking us along! Mother Nature is truly amazing!
I must say, that was very, very cool!!
We loved it
I can't thank you enough for sharing this video. Eight years ago my husband took this tour, but my claustrophobia just wouldn't allow it. I have always wondered what it was like. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Your photography was "fantastic"!! Thanks, again! If you get near Branson, check out, Top of the Rock golf cart ride and Dogwood Canyon tram tour! Two of our favorite things to do in that area.
Cathedral Cavern in Grant is beautiful. It is a walking tour.
All I Can Say Is That Was Awesome!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
Mercedes ~ You are amazing! Being claustrophobic there is no way I would be able to ride through that cave!
This was really spectacular and you need to go see Carlsbad Caverns national Park in New Mexico. It is just an unbelievable site to behold. And John, you are right you have to see it to really appreciate it in real life.
Better than Disney ! The wow reactions of your kid remind me of the serial joy experienced by the girl in Less Junk More Journey channel when she sees new wonders of creation for the first time. How does this rate for fun factor ( geology aside ) with the Carlsbad Caverns, NM ? If you haven't been, make a mental note : walk down inside from the big open mouth entrance, the same ones bats come out of at near dusk. The walk is exciting. You get a lift back up to the visitor centre. The Rangers can accurately predict when the bats come out of the cave - its like a scene from From Dusk Till Dawn ! You view it from theatre seating after a bat talk. Its good this mechanised tour of Fantastic is so easy for all but especially for low mobility people.
I love caves but can't do them anymore...I seem to get bronchitis when I try anymore, and have learned to stay out of them.
The caves we have in N.Z is nothing compared to the one you were just in.
If it has water in it like yours we call it a waitomo cave as in Why-Toe-Mow caves. (Wai) means water, (Tomo) means cave.
In our ones, we have both stallactites, stallacmites and colomns when both stallactites and stallacmites joins together.
Oh i thought you were in a boat, my bad.
That is so cool- Gods Awesome creation on display. So cool to see Sage experiencing that. What a trip! Mercedes- you are way braver than I am! 😊
Did you guy's make it to the homesteading conference?
Other cool caves to check out in Missouri are: Meramec Caverns in Sullivan Mo, Onondaga Cave (State Park) near Leasburg Mo, and a special treat, Tom Sawyer's Cave (Mark Train's Cave) in Hannibal Mo.
You aught to at least check them out on the interweb, you might find yourself adding them to a trip next time you head north(ish).
Why did John keep taking the Lord’s name in vain?? Say ‘Oh my word’ in stead please!!
Good to see y'all back on the road again. I've been binge catching up. Beautiful cave and these adventures will be more fun and memorable with Sage a little older. Hope all is well back at the homestead. Take Care and still love them chickens.
That was pretty cool, thank you for taking us along.😊😊😊
So cool that Skippy could go along too.
They let dogs in😀
How did they create the pathway you’re traveling on?
That is about 3 hours from my house. It's been over 30 years since I've taken that tour.
We are going to Branson and thanks to you all we will visit this cave. Thanks so much for the great content 🤩
Beautiful but the earth isn’t anywhere near that old just in the thousands
Liked your video of caves. We like finding caves.
Thanks, we've added this stop to our travel wish list. It looks awesome!
Awesome video, definitely need to add this one to the bucket list!❤❤
Beautiful! I thank you for sharing!!
Definitely adding this to the bucket list.
Loved it so much ! Thanks for taking us ❤
Is it moldy in there? Need to know for health reasons. Thanks.
Most caves & caverns don’t have mold inside, I’m highly allergic to molds and haven’t gotten ill yet.
No mold at all
Awesome video! Excellent job by the guide.
Thanks for sharing that experience!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sorry, but I don't buy their dating of things like that or the earth in general at all.
John, you have to try Ruby Falls on Lookout Mountain.
How old is it? VERY VERY old😂. My favorite part is knowing Sage could be so inspired by anything she saw under there. So many incredible historic figures started with passion from childhood. I'm so happy for you🎉
Sage loved it
Living in local area, We have been blessed 2x to see this. The first time with our kids and their class, and the second with our grand children. So glad Sage enjoyed it, she is so smart . God bless you all and your travels.😊❤
Where exactly is this?😊
That is awesome!
Outskirts of Springfield Mo.
Hope you get to see the Joplin Spook Light.
Good to see you back
🎶 on the road again 🎶
Great show
Than kyou
Awsome ...... Thanks for sharing. WILL be on our bucket list. The tour guide sounded just like Mercedes lol
I thought so, too!
Yes she did🤣
Ok, I will go
Do it 👍
Fantastic!
Glad you like it!
Thank you God by Sage was the best part!
Sage is so pure🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
I’m GOING!! I love Springfield Mo and NEVER heard about these caverns!!
Loved MO
🫶
Peace ❤️
That was pretty amazing. I’m glad you said it was claustrophobic proof. 👍🏻 I don’t think I could do it. Thanks for the video. I can check that off my bucket list 😃 ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely loved this video! Since I was a child, I’ve always liked touring caves…of course, Carlsbad Caverns is the King of King’s caves, but these here are so amazing. It’s incredible just how long it takes the mineralized water to form the stalactites and stalagmites. That would be a wonderful experience for those who can’t tolerate walking down and up and out of caves…you get to ride a “tram” them! Excellent you guys, and many thanks! Love ya all, Virginia
Glad you enjoyed it Virginia ❤️
I’ll have to go through twice to separately take Princess and CiCi. The world doesn’t way to see me take them out together. 🤣😂 Another beautiful video!
Thank you
When I was a kid, my grandparents and I went out for a drive. I dragged them to about every cave across Missouri
Like John, I want to live in one to this day.
Ya never know…
Thanks guys great videos was is Springfield had no idea that was their. Wife and I fighting health issuehopefully travel someday again
Y’all in our Prayers
