We were at Ramstein AB getting my son, who turned 1 year old that same day, a pair of his first shoes. We watched it all happen on a little TV screen in the store. The base became real active after that and locked down tight.

Very nice job doing a somber and sobering video. Many that died at the Pentagon where records people and auditors. The audits for the previous gulf war was going on right where the building was wiped out destroying almost all of the records needed for the audit. People that served in a job not expecting war type death, very sad everything that occurred that day. Hope your trip continues to be safe and fun.

I remembered 9/11. I was in English class at Palestine middle school an the teacher got a message from the office to turn the tv on. Thats when i found out. That moment in time i was lost of words as a teenager. At that moment i knew i wanted to join the army but long story short i texted and called the sgt about goung to meps after i passed the test for a 31B ( Military police) no response back a few years back. Guess god had a better plan for me. I have a uncle right now in the marines and both my grandfathers were in the military and my dads father told me many story when he was inGermany and my great grandfather was in ww1 or ww2 i can remember which one. The tomb of the unknown is a very special place to go.

I’ve lived here for 23 years now and you’ve visited more monuments than me lol. Did you get a chance to go to the air space museum in VA? It’s much more modern and better than the DC one (currently being updated). Has a actual Concorde and Blackbird on display.

    yea ..
    now that was touching
to see all those people who died protecting our country so we can drive our RVs
go an live where ever we want
    and live free
to bad it cost them there lives
if it were not for them we would be owned like north korea
under a dictatorship with no say
with only one way to live.
where RVing would be non existant.

It truly is amazing to see all the memorials of all of those who made it possible for us to live the way we do in America!

The Pentagon 9/11 memorial leaves an impression. IF you choose to go to the 9/11 memorial in NYC, be prepared it will leave you drained. NYC memorial hits very close with me with several personal connections to those lost that day and grateful for those I know that where able to evacuate the area in time.

We are sorry for your loss! We just saw the 9/11 memorial in NYC yesterday, and you are right, it was a very humbling, and emotional experience! We saw it first and took a while to stop thinking about it! Especially when you see all the fire station memorials throughout the city!

@@PavingNewPaths It really is humbling. Though I am glad you took the time to experience it. When I think about it the fact I was there only 4 days earlier for a job interview in building 2. I had been laid off and looking for work, when I got the interview I was considering moving back to NYC at the time. (I did not, that day changed my course completely.)

We have met so many people who have told us stories about where they were and how things happened before that day, that kept them from being down there that morning!
