If you want real truth, don't expect to get it there. Pure truth is available from the Source of all truth, the Spirit of our Creator and Messiah, Who is present on the earth even now for those who seek their guidance from the Most High. Christianity is a hypocritical and duplicitous farce. They ostensibly honor our Creator and Messiah, but really they don't. They follow a lying murderer, while paying scant attention to the words of Messiah. That's why the church has fragmented into so many different denominations, why there are so many versions of the Bible, and why there is so little spiritual growth or victory over flesh and ego among the believers. And that is part of the problem too...they are stuck in belief, since Paul says that's all that's needed. Hogwash. Belief is connected with doubt, and is useless when a very important decision needs to be made. Learn how to know, the way Abraham and Isaac knew. They didn't just believe, or they would not have obeyed, and they both did. Isaac wasn't overpowered by his elderly dad, and was not stupid either.
@@rickbluecloud531 you clearly have no belief in the power of God.... that he will perfect all whom he has called.... also, it's sad that you don't recognise that the present state that Christendom is in, is also ordained by God
@@moodymarauder I don't follow a god, but I do know the power and love of our Creator, to Whom I fully surrendered my life 39 years ago, and Who I have followed since then. All thanks, honor, and praise to the One Who made heaven and earth, and gives life to us all.
Yea, it is devastating, many men (and some womens) struggle with it because of modern culture drives it to it because of how warped and messed and images everywhere. Plus, many boys didn't grow up with a father in my world and were exposed to their mother's se*xualized behavior. America culture disgusts me for most part..addictions is a terrible thing.
YES, its possible, i lost my husband and after his funeral asked God to remove any cravings or lust towards men after my husbands death, and God did so. I have been alone and are very happy and content and have no urges or lust or wrongful things in my mind for many years, God is faithful and He delivered me and answered my prayer, so the answer is YES, God can totally deliver you from lust or any sexual desires.
I've been praying the same prayer for 27 years and God has not removed my sexual desire. Your prayer is not answered for most all men in the world. I wish it were so.
I am 65 , never married, exposed to porn in grade school, just recent victory, but, I knew that I did not want to die that way. I hurt my wifes feelings . the one thing we have to do is preach to ourselves, there are very few Christians that even admit that their church people have filthy minds. You choose to do what you do. period. you will soon stand before your creator. People have quit ,drugs alcohol, porn , any number of lust, you sin because you want to sin. be not conformed to this world , but , be transformed by the renewing of your mind. overcome evil with good. you can quit.
I over came masturbation, but now a new sin came in my life, gluttony, eating even when I feel full or not hungry,am sinning over and over,I pray for grace
@Jesus loves enya thank you for the encouragement. We must strive to live to honour God daily. Now,before I eat I started praying,oh Lord thank you for your provision. Lord your word says whether we eat or drink,we must do all to your glory,so now Lord help me glorify You even as i eat, give me the spirit of self control.I tell you God has giving me strength,am training myself really not to indulge. I began doing this a week ago. I try to remember to pray for the spirit of self control. Jesus our LORD and GOD, please help us glorify and honour You,empower us to live righteous for the glory and for the sake of your Name.
From my own personal experience with lust masturbation Which was reoccurring over the years Is this: that it's just a form of medicating pain medicating pain or loss somewhere in your soul. See Christian counseling Is best.God will reveal all things to you regarding your past and now your new life Jesus Christ. If you don't do that then you'll continue to pick up another addiction to squalsh pain. The last thing for me to get rid of is lust and I'm had beens in the lord for years and also a senior. The sanctification process is our walk with GOD through JESUS CHRIST. But we must start with small Steps in beginnings to rebuild the temple steadily with CHRIST power. Everyone starts with something different in their spiritual walk with the Lord to clean up their life with Holy spiritual's help. I 1st started by pouring down all the alcohol I had down the sink and never drink alcohol again. Strarting studying nutrition and change dietary practices slowly into a more healthier version. Some will in fact not have a particular bad habit because their parents had it and caused much pain for instance gambling they want nothing to do with that. However some surcome to the weakness. Also make sure that you don't have any psychological neurological conditions that make you more prone to it like bipolar of any form for some contain components of hypersexuality. Of course a lot of christians believe that mental illness is demonic possession so we need to pray for God's to reveal any demonic possess or opression. that's overcome us in that area. In most cases this were processed with some possible backsliding. But that's where 1 John 1:9 comes in if you're truly fighting the flesh and praying for God's strength and deliverance. While there is no temptation but that which is common to man we must seek that way out. This is particularly important to me as a married person. I'm not sure if you're married or single. Either way such actions are considered sexual immorality and gluttony and such as these issue shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Chronic regular participation without struggling and fighting is an indication of cheap grace or Cardinal Christian. . Probably the sin of gluttony is the most prevalent in the church to some extent going back to your struggle. One of my pastors years ago in the Baptist church struggled with obesity and food addiction and we knew it in short and he had a confessive almost every week when he surcame to it. It was so desperate he would get up at midnight put his robe on and sandals and head to the nearest 711 or store that was opened that late for his twinkies. It was his idol. I've never heard any other church have a sermon like that. I'll let hope and pray you'll find the cause of your heart so you can be more successful in reducing the inclination towards addictions. Maythe peace of Christ be with you.
@@selahchunem8447 it's hard to overcome any addiction. You know it's wrong cause what ever addiction you have when you feed it it's just a temporary joy because usually feel awful a little after. We all need to pray 🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Yes. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says our Creator. I prayed often that the Spirit would subdue my ego and flesh and predominate in my life. This prayer has been answered. I'm not the tom cat that I used to be.
What i learnt about lust is that it usually creeps up when i am idle or doing nothing productive. When the mind is idle it gives an opportunity for the enemy to tempt you. 2 Corinthians 2:11, I mean think about it you are not going to be fighting lust the day before an important final or the night before an important interview , right. It is because your mind is SO occupied you have much better things to worry about than seeing naked women! So lust is an opportunistic kind of sin in that if you are a praying believer it will attack you when you are not doing anything productive
Thanks for sharing you comment!. I would have to agree to that. I've experienced temptation mostly when I'm kind of lazy not reading my bible, not having my pray time and doing nothing productive as you have said. If we let the word of Christ dwell in us richly and we meditate the word of God very often our minds will keep us busy thinking about our Lord, his word and how to obey him. I have come to the conclusion that my mind is like a bird flying wherever she wants to and full of thoughts that are irrelevant and non productive. So when I find myself thinking all kind of nonsenses I immediately try to meditate in the word of God to keep my mind busy with something productive like his word. Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
This is such a significant and tough battle for so many men (and women) these days. The bombardment of porn onto our future has become such a dangerous and destructive weapon. Thank you so much for these words of encouragement and conviction to seek Yahweh’s strength in breaking these chains of bondage.
Take out the word “porn” or “sex” and insert any sin that separates us from God and this video is spot on. Thank you for this and in this moment am I being obedient? I pray so.
Phillipians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." We can conquer all things not by our strength but by the Holy Spirit who is God Almighty. The problem with us humans most of times is that instead of running from temptation, we mostly crawl away and hope it catches us. So the thing is, how bad do you want the victory? Do you want it, or do you REAAAALLLLYYYY WANT It like your life depends on it? Jesus always said, " according to your faith be it done unto you." Word of advice: fast and pray with ALL your HEART not just part of it and never give up no matter how hard it is. 2Cor 12:9: "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." God bless.
I think if you keep yourself away from what can tempt you. Be with your one husband/wife. Don't read books that have to do with love/relationships/sex, don't watch movies or listen to music having to do with lust. You just have to be willing to trust in God to help you and put in the effort.
no matter how much you try to evade temptation, it will come to you! trust me! it came to Jesus, too. you need to know what to do when you will face it. because it is like a flame, stealing away your reason. there is no other way except, in the tiny moments of calm you will have, cry for God s help. and He will hear!
Great and in point explanation... This is the real value of right understanding and explainig what it is truly about. I mean he explained it in point at the end - you will never be free of lust as an impulse, but if you are aware and know that Jesus loves you and He is the way to direct to when it grabs you - then you know you have Him instead of falling into lust...
Jesus died for our sins. We are fallen and deserve hell, but with his sacrifice on the cross, and resurrection on the third day for us. He has freed anyone who will repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus, for living the perfect sinless life for us. He is our advocate to the Father. Praise be to God. I failed sharing the gospel today with a stranger I tried to help. May you pray for my boldness and I will pray for you. May he come soon
Yes it is possible to live your life without sexual lust. Does that mean the spirit of lust won't try to come and visit you from time to time. Absolutely not it will try to come and visit you. But it is possible to live without the lust of the flesh. I myself have been alone for a couple of decades now. Mankind lives with his mind in a gutter that's how they cannot understand someone who lives alone and is content. They can't even perceive it.
Friends thats posible to walk away(i need say run) from lust. I am 31 and i never thot it is posible, but now days my older brothers in Jesus share with me the simple way to run from that kind of tamptations, and provide me with safe place of brotherhood were i can feel that im not alone strugling with sin of lust.Thats a good news!
This is not a question the Bible seeks to answer. The question should be, "What does it mean to die daily?" "I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily." (1 Corinthians 15:31)
To the people reading this, wondering if freedom and obedience is far from you still, I hope you don't think freedom is just a complete fairy tale in Christianity. People living in freedom from lust (or anything, even drugs) is not limited to the imagination of the super holy. I promise you it's real. The strength to say no and choose Jesus is real. There will come points where your love for Jesus and your love for porn will war against each other, but resist the devil and he will flee from you. Now will satan leave you alone? He never will until you die. Will he stop bothering you about lust? If you fill yourself with God and his Word, at some point he's going to know attacking you from this direction will not work anymore! Which means FIGHTING LUST isn't forever (fight sin in general is perpetual but a specific sin not). So keep pressing on!
I always wondered about this question. Which means that i still have to fight my urge until i am dead. The very thing i want is the very thing that can also destroy me. I wish i never had any urge or desire unfortunately i am imperfect. But i don’t plan to lose myself to lust, it is better for me to suffer abstinence than feeling condemn by the act of sin.
Absolutely, 100% on target. The strength in the moment comes from the Holy Spirit. This is not just some mystical, ephemeral idea. We are given the gift of the Holy Spirit for specific purposes. This is one of them. Simply, it works. You can ask many of us how we know it works. We will tell you we walk the very same path on which you walk.
"What a wretched man I am" said Paul about the battle between the Spirit and the flesh. As long as we justify our sin (being single, trauma, bad marriage, depression...etc) we will never have victory and carry the heavy burden of guilt inside which is exhausting. Its war until our last day on earth but we need to be transparent with the Lord about our desire to be free from it.
The sin of lust can be conquered through the Holy Spirit, but the mind is carnal and seeks the forbidden, so there's a constant struggle with lust, but the Holy Spirit deadens the body, but the mind constantly seek to fuel it and to ignite it into lustful desires.
Maybe, but with a godly marriage, the carnal of the mind can be turned into something that brings a man and a woman closer together, instead of further apart.
@@xMCxVSxARBITERx , We're speaking of lust, sir, although a man or woman can lust within a marriage, I'm speaking about lust outside of marriage. Please read above comment carefully.
@@xMCxVSxARBITERx , Making love and having sex are two different things. Lust is unsavory thoughts leading to sex and Lovemaking seeks to express physically your love for your companion. There's a difference.
@@demetriusdion286 I did read it carefully, which is why I answered as I did. My point in general is that a marriage is sometimes needed in order to control and refrain from lust. Just read Paul. "Because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband". That's where I'm at. I don't have anyone to love and make love to. It's all my heart aches for (when it comes to this sad world). And because of this great longing, I feel desperate and anxious, which in turn leads to lust. But if your comment was strictly speaking of the lust that a man can have outside of his marriage that he already is in, then I can't answer. I've never been in that situation.
@@demetriusdion286 I agree that it could be different things. But sometimes the lack of having someone to love can result in lust. So how do we combat lust? By trying to avoid everything that has to do with women or by actually finding someone to love? In many cases, I believe that marriage could be the only way for a hypersexual individual like myself to combat lust. Don't get me wrong though, I wish I could be free from sexuality but that's just not how I believe I was created (in this world).
I wish I could get married to someone I love and then make love to her forever... In a godly marriage, intimacy can be used as means for a deeper connection. That's what I long for! But it gets so lonely, and the temptation in temporary lust is so easy...I just can't seem to stop.
No matter how sanctified we get, or how close to the Lord, we are all capable of sinning. Look at strong men in the Bible who fell. We should never let our guard down, but we can be tempted a lot less by delving into scripture and walking the walk.
I'm a middle aged guy. I've found my testosterone levels have dropped considerably. So has my inclination for "lusting." My wife passed away 4 years ago and I have no desire to be with another woman. I still wear my wedding ring and I'm still married as far as I'm concerned. I have absolutely no intention of dating anyone ever so all my energy is directed to business. Problem solved.
Jack Aubrey Higher male testosterone levels are what generally stimulate lust. No doubt about it. Some men who are suffering from incurable prostate cancer receive hormonal therapy to reduce the levels of testosterone responsible for contributing to the growth of said cancer. It is evident that once their testosterone levels are suppressed, the urge to have sex virtually disappears. God's cure for those men who "burn with lust" are faithful, loving wives who will ensure their husband's God-ordained sexual desires are gratified (1 Cor. 7:1-3, 8,9).
@@pdpode8978 Depends on whether or not the wife is capable of having normal sexual relations -- even if it is only as a passive partner. " Satisfy " is a subjective term. In a Christian marriage, achieving a high level of sexual pleasure is not what counts but only of giving oneself wholly to the other as an expression of unfeigned love. I don't see anywhere in Scripture where a wife is given flexibility to refuse her husband (and vice versa). It must be understood, though that if she is bedridden in pain and/or physically unable to participate in sexual relations, the husband has no option but to prayerfully leave the matter with the Lord. The marriage vows are permanent until the death of a partner (see Rom. 7:2,3). Under no circumstances may a husband or wife engage in sexual relations with other partners -- even if the sickly spouse gives the okay. Marriage is sanctified by God on the basis of the vow "forsaking all others... until death do us part." Husbands and wives covenant with each other but also with God who has brought them together (see Matt. 19:6). "What GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER, let not man put asunder." No unrepentant adulterers will ever reach heaven (see Gal. 5:19-21).
Romans.6:6-23. 🤕👍🏻 It's a matter of obedience to Gods word He has already freed us from sins bondage we should no longer be slaves to sin. But slaves of Christ Jesus and His word and the fruit of that is our sanctification ❤️
While freedom from demonic influence/oppression (the Greek is simply "demonization" as daimonizomai, and can include a range of severity) can help minimize the impulse toward lust, and if this is part of my struggle (and only the Holy Spirit can show you that), then I can be assisted in my sanctification by freeing myself from that demonic attachment through the application of the authority Jesus gives me in the gospel. Other than that additional nuance, this answer is so, so good. Spot on!
I think lust starts when you indulge in that woman's beauty too long. When her beauty has been seen, and you don't feel any need to look at her again, but you do anyway....
Yes but as we are making choices trying in the flesh we are fulfilling the lust of the flesh no matter what the decision is because we are not walking in SPIRIT through the POWER 🔋 of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Another thing is that Jesus said himself that Free Will choice is heresy in the church today put in my own words but I can back it up with scripture. If you read Matthew 7 2123 Jesus said just because you say Lord Lord does not get you into the kingdom of heaven, but those that do the will of My Father which is in heaven. (Not free will choice in the flesh, but God's will through the Holy Spirit.) V22 and many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord haven't we prophesied unto thee or cast out devils and done many wonderful works? V23 and I will profess unto the, depart from me, you that work iniquity, I never knew thee. Cast into hell forever will there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth all because of what people call Free Will choice Satan has a lot of people fooled with that heresy in the church today because people make their own choice instead of doing the will of God Like Jesus always did. Like the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 9 10 Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name. The kingdom come thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven. And so on. Matthew 12:50 those that do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother my sister and my mother. So those that do the will of God the Father are those who are in the family of God. But if you do your own will of yourself in the Flash you're not saved Jesus said and he is going to say depart from me I never knew you. So if I was you I would pray very deeply and study the scriptures to show yourself approved unto God not unto yourself for unto God like the Bible says a Workman not needing to be a shame but rightly dividing the word of Truth by the truth in SPIRIT not by a free will choice in the flesh.

Second of all Adam and Eve did not have a choice because God himself had power over Satan and allowed him to deceive Eve Genesis 3:13 and 1st Timothy 2:13 14. There is scripture I can show you and when you tell me that the scripture is wrong then we have a problem that is on your 1/2 because the Bible IS NEVER WRONG. @@anonymous98237 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” He’s waiting for everyone who wants to know Him to have the chance to. Then his wrath will come. Are you ready?
Just because God “can” doesn’t mean he will. God rarely if ever will grant prayers to completely remove a temptation (note: temptation to Sin is different than sin itself), instead what he does is provide a way for us resist or outright flee from the temptation out of obedience to His commands. He also specifically commands to FLEE the temptation of Lust (2 Tim 2:22). That should tell you that the idea we can magically “cure” ourselves of the temptations of the Flesh while we are still in this world is incorrect. What we CAN do is guard our hearts against it by studying His Word, praying continuously, and seeking to obey His will for our lives.
Everything is possible in Christ. I hope I will be free from this soon. I also fight a lot to outrun this but I don't think it's possible this way..but I still remember MY GRACE IS ENOUGH FOR YOU !
I'm sure that the woman Mary of Magdala is no longer referred to as the Prostitute and I think we have done her a disservice. She was a rich woman not a prostitute.Lets work to restore her honour.
By far, the bigger question for me is “why do I want to be free from lust?” Certainly lust creates desire, and that is often unfilled, which is frustrating. But to a certain degree that desire can be fulfilled by ourselves through masturbation or through interactions with real women when we can get them. And that does not feel as good as truly being free. But it is something we can control. And that has value. I have come to see that a great deal of our struggles in this world center around, wanting to have control over how we feel. The short periods of my life I have been victorious over lust have been better than when I have been conquered by it. However, the amount of effort to stay in the victorious place has not usually felt worth it compared to the decent pay off of indulging lust. If we work very hard and think very hard rationally, we can see that fighting lust is worth it. But being able to stay in that spot seems like an impossible thing. If we actually wanted to be free from lost, of course we could be. But you cannot make yourself do something difficult if you don’t want to do it. Where can we get that desire?
What absolutely hamstrings a believer, when it comes to lust (of any kind), is a misunderstanding of Romans 7 and 8. Most people interpret chapter 7 as speaking about a Christian. listen, if that was true how could you ever be free? When you were tempted you would just fall to it because chapter 7 says "the evil I don't want to do, I end up doing!" If that is my end result then how can I successfully fight! The truth is that 7 is Paul, as a teaching tool, putting himself in the shoes of a Jewish person, living under the law, while spiritually dead. God gave him the 10th commandment which is effectually "thou shall not lust". The more this man tried to obey this the more he found out he couldn't. THAT is the condemnation in 8:1. The condemnation is that a spiritually dead man cannot stop lusting (and therefore sin in general). Chapter 8 is talking about a born again person where there is no more of that condemnation, meaning, Now, when I want to do the righteous thing (not sin) I can. Why? Because the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus (the new nature I have since getting born again) has freed me from the law of sin and death (the old nature, having to fall to lust and sin). This means there is no lust, sin, or spiritual death in the spirit of a born again believer so they do not have to lust. When you are tempted to lust it is coming from your natural soul in your natural body, still from Adam. But the real you, the spirit, is totally free. This is why the thought of lust is not sin if you are resisting it. The thought is in your natural mind but not in your spiritual mind. So keep resisting it. You are not sinning because you have the thought. A person from day one of being born again is free of lust and does not have to fall for it. If you want to shut up "the want to" in your natural body then get filled with the Holy Spirit and pray in tongues, spend time worshipping, reading the word, fasting (be smart, don't over do it, check with doctor if on meds). These things will shut up the mind concerning lust, strife, jealousy, unforgiveness, hate, etc.. and reduce them to a simple thought you can walk right by.
God helps us to walk with him. I still feel lust but I no longer participate in Porn or masturbation. Decades long addiction only broken through being born again in Christ via grace of God. Yes still get tempted; but now God gives power to overcome the temptation. Yes if temptation ever gets crazy; going to God in prayer adds all strength needed; and then some :)
As I believe it's about holding strong in a spiritual battle it's really about denying your flesh which by no means is easy but is possible by the example Christ sets for us.
This video helped a lot, I’m a fellow Christian that has been dealing with this type of sin and is just asking for prayers as i seek God to help me over come this problem.
One moment at a time, one day at a time. “All things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called , according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.
No one has ever been able to explain the difference between being attracted to someone (which is, in part, sexual) and " lust". I'm not talking about pornagraphy or sex addiction. I'm just talking about seeing someone and appreciating them in every aspect including their body. Are we somehow not to notice someone's body????? And if we find them beautiful how is that wrong? I don't get it.
Yeah this is something the church has really failed to clarify, and I fear it's because so many want to hold on to the borderline lust they enjoyed in their generation while forbidding the next step being taken by younger generations. I would say every point of physical attraction that cannot be fully explained as a mere interest in the beautiful (like a mountain vista) shouldn't be trusted. I remember the point in my life where women's curves suddenly became attractive, and it coincided with puberty. I would label all such thoughts as lust. Men ask why God gave us passions only to order us to stymy them. But hasn't that always been His way? The tree in the garden was not evidently harmful, and innocent Adam and Eve were quite naturally attracted to it. But God ordered man to avoid its fruit anyway.
Lust is the deliberate act of indulging in non-marital sexual objectification and/or sexual fantasy. You can't control how your body feels, but you can control what you do with those feelings.
Your question should be simple "how I can control the lust", not totally be free from lust. The question could be "can I have total freedom from body functions?", instead of "can I control body functions?" The answer is "yes" you can control, but you can not be totally free.
The simple answer is, that to answer YES denies the existence of original sin. I have never found a workable definition of original sin, but it is what Paul called "another law in my members." Removing that cannot happen in this life; only God can remove it.
Endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. With your mind, you make a decision to do what's right. "Do" this decision while your body and eyes "want" to do something else. Your body may feel a tingling sensation (the lust of the flesh), and your eyes may be drawn to look in places they shouldn't (the lust of the eyes). You must make a decision in that moment to not allow your heart to take part in what the flesh and the eyes are asking you to do. This is warfare. It's uncomfortable. But it's that "good fight", and Jesus is there with you in the fight. Keep the belt of truth buckled. FIGHT! Think of what a valiant soldier looks like on a battlefield with his trousers around his ankles, because of a failure on his part to buckle the belt of truth. It's disgraceful and the enemy is laughing. Wouldn't you laugh at your enemy in such a state? Be encouraged, however, by this: " My son, be wise and make My heart glad, that I might answer him that reproacheth Me." Behave yourself wisely and you will have the honour of a good soldier. Endure hardness. Buckle up! You can do it.
Lust versus the Sin of Lust, are not the same question, the same thing. Desire ( Lust ) is not inherently sinful, nor is it a sin necessarily. Paul says, covetousness is idolatry '' He says, I didn't know lust but that the law said thou shalt not covet '' and yet tells us to covet Prophecy, how strange. This tells us that the problem with lust is in its use its application, we can lust after the things of God, thou sowing to the Spirit, or to the flesh. Paul tells us - All that's in the world are, The Lust of the Eyes, the desire of the Flesh, and the Pride of life. And yet God stated over, at the end of each creation day,,,,,, It is Good. So, what happened ? The Creature loved the Creation more than the Creator. The improper use of Desire. The problem with desire is when its no longer directed towards God, as our chiefest affection.
YOU WANT TO BE FREE? I will share for those struggling with lust. Having suffered with addiction most of my adult life… Reading the word of God daily. Will start to kill your lust, and dry up that appetite. It is so potent, so powerful, it will start to supernaturally change you internally. But the consistency is KEY. Set you phone timer for 5mins. Start small. Achievable. But do this consistently, watch what happens.
Better than intermittent fasting is water fasting. It represses the flesh and works wonders when dealing with sins and temptations of the flesh. Fasting helped me with a number of flesh issues. Gluttony being a big one.
You can overcome lust by keeping yourself away from the things that oftentimes giving you the temptation. “But *EVERY MAN* is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death” (James 2:14-15).
This is a heavy issue and really destroys the spiritual life of so many men. 1) Know and subsequently love God more through His Word, 2) Pray (I really don’t like saying a specific amount of time, but watch Joel Beeke’s sermon on the Puritans and prayer), 3) love your neighbor, 4) serve your local, Bible-believing church faithfully, and 5) find a trustworthy brother in Christ to hold you accountable (not to rip you to pieces every time you stumble, but to sternly rebuke you with love and repeatedly point you to the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ). This is how you overcome lust in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is possible. The Lord promised to sanctify His people, so wrestle with God in prayer that He might manifest His promises in you. God bless you.
I believe that it is possible to be free from sin. I believe this because there is a story in the Bible in which Jesus tells a prostitute to sin no more.
Hello Ryan, I held that very mindset for much of my Christian life. I would encourage you to read Romans 6-8 in one sitting. This, along with revelation from the Holy Spirit, really helped me address not only this temptation but sin in general. Let me know your thoughts :)
Excellent point!!! If God, through Man exercising his faith in Jesus, drawing from and believing God's promises of strength and a way out of temptation of drunkenness, drug addiction, gluttony, gossip, murder, robbery, etc.... God can do the same for those who struggle with sexual sins!!!
Radical decisión is the right way to cut with any sin internet is a two edged sword 🗡 expending time alone is a problem for that weakness so stay strong and protected praying fervently every day absolutely possible with the help of our Holy Spirit.🤝
I've done quite a bit of counseling in this area myself and, though I agree with him in general, generation and the internet are irrelevant. When I was growing up, you could see pornographic magazines on a stand behind the counter at 7-11s.
The problem with most interpretation of Scripture is the notion that desire is the same as lust. It's like this, "I feel sexual desire so I'm bound by lust" The lust of the flesh is only the intent to have out God given desire to be fulfilled in ways that are not permitted by God. God only says what isn't permitted and what is permitted. To walk around with sexual desire is being free from lust. If your in the mood go find a wife or do it with the one you have. Don't allow your desire to be turned lust or another words don't allow your desire to be used towards objects that can cause sexual immorality. While this is true, there is another law a work or for that 3 laws at work. The first is that our nature is tied in some fashion to our fallen bodies that house the flesh. The flesh has power behind it because of the world and it's power is controlled by Satan. The flesh manifest itself in acts of the body and mind. It turns sexual desire towards objects that produce sin namely visual thoughts towards others and acts with others. The good news is that Spirit is there to fight against these thoughts and activities. His power is greater than Satan. So start by now fighting against your desire, but yield to the resistance of the Spirit against the flesh, the world and Satan's devils.
healing your sexuality works well. for thousands of years we have suppressed sexuality this is a very common shadow i done a sexuality meditation healing its helping me over coming lust
Can a man be free from masturbation is the real question whether pornography is involved or not? Can a man just do that and not lust or think about something? God made men different. I’m curious about this topic as it’s not mentioned in the Bible.
junglemanlawyer1 I’m chronically ill and can’t do anything, the thought bothers me of him even doing that instead of me being able to please him. Feel so inadequate now that I’m this way. 😔
Hello! I’ve been addicted to pornography and masturbation for years. I was married, being sexually active almost every day and still had “the need” to do these things. What you learn is that you become a slave and that it takes not only your energy, but time away from being productive, from spending time with your loved ones. It is human to feel, it is human to have desire, what it is it not human is the dependency to watch pornography and masturbate (as Christians we should practice self control). I can tell you by experience (my own) that there are evil spirits that like to keep you chained to this mental/physical state. I accepted Jesus in my heart and was liberated. I haven’t masturbated or watched pornography ever since. Of course when one is alone, the devil will come and whisper to your ear “but why not? You are human, don’t you feel the need? Just do it this time and He will forgive you,” Ask Jesus to keep these voices away from you. Remember, every time a person watches pornography, there are/were thousands more who watched the same video/picture and as ridiculous as it may seem, one becomes one flesh with whoever is on the video. One will open many more doors to the devil and that will be worse. Fast, pray and worship the Lord. Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” I apologize for any typos, I wrote this on the fly. Whoever reads this please remember that Jesus loves you and He defeated defeated the devil on the cross!
@@estebanferreira8726 I love alot of Bible of stories but I mess up and I've willingly gave in mostly how can I get total victory over my flesh and stop giving in?
Let me say this as a brother in the Lord. Whatever your tempted with, it's nothing new. If you can goggle it, it's a good chance many other have struggled in that area. There are some things saved men or woman can't tell others of the things they did in past or saved life. That's why the Lord said the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. He knows Satan got us messed up down here, but he is still in control even though it seems all hell has broken loose.
My point is, I want to know exactly how successful he is at practicing what he preaches. If I was preaching this message, it would be grounded in my own experience, and therefore, I would have no problem saying something like, “with the recognition of this power, I have been completely free from pornography and from giving in to lust of the flesh for the last 10 years.” I’m just not sold on this message, that we have the power to completely avoid giving into temptation. I understand that our being sealed in the Holy Spirit includes a part of us that has the power which he speaks of; however, until we are free from our earthly bodies, I believe there is another part of us that simply does not have the power to avoid sin. Maybe I’m wrong. But I never hear anyone speaking about this from examples of their own success. Before pornography was so prevalent, I’m sure there were plenty other ways for people to indulge in their lustful sins. From my experience, the more I try to use that “power” to fight it, the more I’m faced with the reality that I can’t. If it’s not sex, it’s something else. I’m always seeking some kind of earthly pleasure, as if I’m never content with my joy in the Spirit. I just wonder if people are doing their faith a disservice by not being able to admit that to themselves. I agree that the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Spirit...apostasy. I believe our faith that Jesus paid our ransom is the requirement for salvation because as much as he commands us to repent, it is clear that we never can, as long as we inhabit these sinful bodies. Of course it doesn’t mean to go wild. We should always try. It’s an endless battle between joy and sorrow until we die.
@@duckingtheradar I understand what you are saying. Preachers generally avoid talking about porn because it makes them uncomfortable, chance are always good they use it themselves. It's embarrassing and makes you feel emasculated by being so weak. I often say I wish I had been addicted to some substance instead of porn. It is possible to overcome, not by your own will but the power of Jesus Christ. Lust in general will fade away the longer you are away from porn. You'll realize that porn is actually what is causing you to look/think about women the way you do not your "natural state." Yeah your flesh is never going to rest, and Satan is never going to stop firing arrows because if one gets through and you accept the lie and have a relapse it hurts your heavenly Father. This is the only way Satan can harm the Lord, through his children. If you are a father you could imagine a wicked person that wants to destroy your relationship with your child so he feeds them lies, while you plead with your child the truth. Why does your son listen to this deceiver? Does he not understand you love him? If you have a wife, consider telling her, this was the turning point for me. Nothing will ever change without getting real with someone. Avoid basically everything on a screen that isn't glorifying the Lord or completely innocent (WW2 Docs etc.) you know what your triggers are cut them out of your life.

Porn is devastating, its incredible how the mind picks up an image and stores it away for future reference.
Hmmm, that is true. Thanks for this comment!
Obedience by faith and trust. Obedience is not meant to be robotic or mindless. We obey because we love God and trust Him
YES, its possible, i lost my husband and after his funeral asked God to remove any cravings or lust towards men after my husbands death, and God did so. I have been alone and are very happy and content and have no urges or lust or wrongful things in my mind for many years, God is faithful and He delivered me and answered my prayer, so the answer is YES, God can totally deliver you from lust or any sexual desires.
But it's difficult when you're much younger
I've been praying the same prayer for 27 years and God has not removed my sexual desire. Your prayer is not answered for most all men in the world. I wish it were so.

1 Corinthians 7:9 " but if they can't control themselves let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with Lust"
Never married and I hurt my wife’s feelings? What do you mean?
Strarting studying nutrition and change
dietary practices slowly into a more healthier version.

That is very true! I noticed that for me as well. Very well said.

Phillipians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
We can conquer all things not by our strength but by the Holy Spirit who is God Almighty. The problem with us humans most of times is that instead of running from temptation, we mostly crawl away and hope it catches us.
So the thing is, how bad do you want the victory? Do you want it, or do you REAAAALLLLYYYY WANT It like your life depends on it?
Jesus always said, " according to your faith be it done unto you."
Word of advice: fast and pray with ALL your HEART not just part of it and never give up no matter how hard it is.
2Cor 12:9: "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." God bless.
An excellent explanation and characterization of “in our weakness “He” is made strong.” To Christ be the glory!
Guy refased the question and had you on a pony trail lol
Yes... the Lord delivered me from it completely and it is possible.
@King White Knight - No, it's the same thing for me. You have been healed.

+ob2be1 Praise the Lord!
This is not a question the Bible seeks to answer. The question should be, "What does it mean to die daily?" "I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily." (1 Corinthians 15:31)
the solution I really needed was in the last minute of the video just about 5.25 5.30.Awesome, thank you for helping me out, God bless you.
There’s nothing easy about this.
The answer is yes if 1. you are born again and 2. are delivered from evil and 3. take every lustful thought to the Holy Spirit.
If you fill yourself with God and his Word, at some point he's going to know attacking you from this direction
will not work anymore! Which means FIGHTING LUST isn't forever (fight sin in general is perpetual but a specific sin not). So keep pressing on!
*Beautiful* encouragement, Natalie
AMEN...it's a very clear explanation.
getting caught up in lust will only lead to heartache later on
One thing I have noticed about Jesus that in my weakness his strength is made perfect.
Sounds like a certain Apostle in the Bible, I can relate. I too despise my flesh. My eyes are on the eternal things. Stay strong brother.
I would say not in this life, I know I have to fight mine, and as the Holy Ghost for his help in resisting's lust.
Amen.

I did read it carefully, which is why I answered as I did.
@@demetriusdion286
I agree that it could be different things.
“Using our vessel to the honor of God, requires faith, and they don’t think they can ever be free.” That is soooooo powerful!
I'm a middle aged guy. I've found my testosterone levels have dropped considerably. So has my inclination for "lusting."
My wife passed away 4 years ago and I have no desire to be with another woman. I still wear my wedding ring and I'm still married as far as I'm concerned. I have absolutely no intention of dating anyone ever so all my energy is directed to business. Problem solved.
Jack Aubrey Higher male testosterone levels are what generally stimulate lust. No doubt
about it.
Some men who are suffering from incurable prostate cancer receive hormonal therapy to
reduce the levels of testosterone responsible for contributing to the growth of said cancer.
It is evident that once their testosterone levels are suppressed, the urge to have sex
virtually disappears. God's cure for those men who "burn with lust" are faithful, loving wives who will ensure their husband's God-ordained sexual desires are gratified (1 Cor. 7:1-3, 8,9).
R. Crompton how would you answer a situation where the wife is chronically ill and can’t satisfy the husband anymore

Give me a beautiful, godly woman like that and I'll marry her in a heartbeat!
@@pdpode8978 Depends on whether or not the wife is capable of having normal sexual relations -- even if it is only as a passive
partner. " Satisfy " is a subjective term. In a Christian marriage, achieving a high level of sexual pleasure is not what counts but
only of giving oneself wholly to the other as an expression of unfeigned love. I don't see anywhere in Scripture where a
wife is given flexibility to refuse her husband (and vice versa). It must be understood, though that if she is bedridden in
pain and/or physically unable to participate in sexual relations, the husband has no option but to prayerfully leave the
matter with the Lord. The marriage vows are permanent until the death of a partner (see Rom. 7:2,3). Under no
circumstances may a husband or wife engage in sexual relations with other partners -- even if the sickly spouse gives
the okay. Marriage is sanctified by God on the basis of the vow "forsaking all others... until death do us part." Husbands
and wives covenant with each other but also with God who has brought them together (see Matt. 19:6). "What GOD HAS
JOINED TOGETHER, let not man put asunder." No unrepentant adulterers will ever reach heaven (see Gal. 5:19-21).
Christian maturity is boldly declaring the gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in spite of the constant war going on with our fallen nature.

Romans.6:6-23. 🤕👍🏻 It's a matter of obedience to Gods word He has already freed us from sins bondage we should no longer be slaves to sin. But slaves of Christ Jesus and His word and the fruit of that is our sanctification ❤️
When you walk in The Spirit you will not fulfill the works of the flesh.
Yes, walking in dependency upon Jesus.
Spot on!
I've always wondered, where is the line between appreciating the beauty God has gave a woman and the start of lust?
I think lust starts when you indulge in that woman's beauty too long. When her beauty has been seen, and you don't feel any need to look at her again, but you do anyway....
When you start thinking like a sexual predator, that is lust.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't attracted to women but I am...
Walk in the Spirit of the Lord and you shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh!! ( Gal 5:16)
(Not free will choice in the flesh, but God's will through the Holy Spirit.)
V22 and many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord haven't we prophesied unto thee or cast out devils and done many wonderful works?

@@emmanuelferreirapinho9592 Okay if that's what you believe that God gave us free will choice, I want you to BACK IT UP WITH SCRIPTURE, at least one verse. Then I will think about believing but meanwhile I have scripture that goes against Free Will choice. First of all free will choice is NOWHERE FOUND IN THE BIBLE.
And if you go to Matthew 7:21 23 it says in red letters that just because you say Lord Lord DOES NOT get you into the kingdom of heaven, BUT THOSE THAT DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.
God's will not free will choice of ourselves but the will of God the Father. V-22 and many will saying to me in that day Lord Lord haven't we prophesied in your name, and in thy name cast out devils, AND DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS.
Cuz that's all it is works in the FLESH making choices and the HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT IN IT.

He also specifically commands to FLEE the temptation of Lust
(2 Tim 2:22). That should tell you that the idea we can magically “cure” ourselves of the temptations of the Flesh while we are still in this world is incorrect. What we CAN do is guard our hearts against it by studying His Word, praying continuously, and seeking to obey His will for our lives.
Yes because my bible says that sin no longer has power over me because I am saved by grace and not the Law. Walk in your freedom#myconfession
@@KOH777-gp6ut Well said!
Wonderful answer. Stay blessed my brother in Christ.
It can be done sister. Pray for strength. Always praying for strength.
Maybe not totally free, but it can be reduced to where a glance at beauty is not fixating lust.
Very well said in refraising the question because lust will always be there but Yeshua said we must die daily to ourselves and the temptation of sin.
One moment at a time, one day at a time. “All things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called , according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28.
I think if someone already in christ, his mind will be renewed and sex will be a gift that can be enjoyed in marriage
Yes, I agree with you. Aesthetic appreciation gets immaturely mistaken for sexual lust.
I respectfully disagree with you, but thank you for sharing your opinion.
Yes we can.......our body is the temple of a living God.........we should keep it holy because God is holy.........
To be free from lust is possible but you can never be free from love . Love without expectations is from God given as a gift from God.
amazing message and god bless you
Lust versus the Sin of Lust, are not the same question, the same thing.

For me praying was not enough. First you have to sense the temptation immediately and pray . Also stop what you're doing and read scripture
I think intermittent fasting is very helpful in subduing this demon.
And what is that dear ?can you please explain. Thanks.
Better than intermittent fasting is water fasting. It represses the flesh and works wonders when dealing with sins and temptations of the flesh.
Fasting helped me with a number of flesh issues.
Gluttony being a big one.

Assume you can’t be completely free and act accordingly. We have to aim to live a lifetime of balance.
Yes, thats right. Didnt He also warn someone to stop sinning or something worse would happen to them?
Amazing explanation. Thank you!!!!!
U can have small victories, but we r still in our sinful flesh. Paul says the things he doesn't want to do that he does.
Hello Ryan, I held that very mindset for much of my Christian life. I would encourage you to read Romans 6-8 in one sitting. This, along with revelation from the Holy Spirit, really helped me address not only this temptation but sin in general. Let me know your thoughts :)

Or just get married so you can have sex. Like Paul says
Totally possible! In Christ alone!
Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
I apologize for any typos, I wrote this on the fly. Whoever reads this please remember that Jesus loves you and He defeated defeated the devil on the cross!

I wish people like this would openly discuss the sins they struggle with, or the last time they gave in to lust, etc.
If I was preaching this message, it would be grounded in my own experience, and therefore, I would have no problem saying something like, “with the recognition of this power, I have been completely free from pornography and from giving in to lust of the flesh for the last 10 years.”
I’m just not sold on this message, that we have the power to completely avoid giving into temptation.
