Arcade Game: Return of the Jedi (1984 Atari)

A Shooter / Driving game based on film of the same name. You controls the actions of PRINCESS LEIA, CHEWBACCA, and LANDO CALRISSIAN via flight control. Your main goal is to destroy Death Star by flying through the tube and shoot the central reactor.
Note: Used Invincibility cheat after down to last life.

I love this game. It was at an arcade next to my school back in the 90s. I got pretty good at it cause I played the thing everyday for like 2 years.

Too bad Atari didn't use vector graphics for this movie after the success of the first Star Wars arcade game and just did raster. At least they did a cool follow-up with Empire Strikes Back around the next year after this game.

Star Wars: ROTJ arcade was an interesting entry in the original arcade trilogy. Personally I think they should have just went with another vector based entry like the first two arcade games and then, if they still wanted to go with a raster based game then do sort of a trilogy combining all three movies rather than just ROTJ. I give the makers of this game credit for trying something different but I ultimately feel it generally did not live up to its potential.
