We wanted to pack our legendary distortion pedal into a portable, functional, instinctive, and reliable form factor.
Smaller, but with intuitive and easy access to all controls.
Smaller, but with massive tonal characteristics.

Who is this even for? With the tone and blend knobs on the inside of the pedal via a back panel, it's impossible to use on a pedalboard, which makes it useless. This thing was obviously not designed with gigging/touring in mind
That's the first thing I caught on the demo...and the look is horrible with the big bold white font...not interested in this at all
@@bbrowne It's so ugly... I hate the new minimalist design. Darkglass pedals have always looked futuristic and sleek. It would look a lot better without the text
The font you chose makes it look like a cheap chinese copy or something. Doesn't look premium as the other darkglass products.
I know lots of have mixed thoughts about this, but I'm really excited. Due to less physical materials, these will most likely cost less. Meaning that more people will be able to own darkglass products. (Including me) I see this mini line as an absolute win.

I've had the VMTU (twice) and B7kU. I didn't get along with the B7k on the extreme side and the real estate wasn't worth giving up to keep either. This however is perfect for me. I run bookend hyper luminals a harmonic booster always on clean tube into various dirt's (one being my Duality) and modulations. My amp is the AO900. These little guys are perfect for me. I could buy 3 a b1k, VMT, and if they drop maybe an X version and have all of the filthy distortions for the price of one ultra.

Interesting! As an A.D.A.M. owner, I'd probably pass on this particular product-- BUT I can see potential for this format, particularly where effects are concerned. For example, I could see a Flange+Chorus pedal using this format, or a combination HPF+LPF to use at the end of the signal chain to tame runaway cabinet resonance or tweeter harshness. Or as a standalone compressor.
If any of those actually happen, I do have one request-- a set of 1\4" Line-level input & output to place AFTER my A.D.A.M. in the signal chain!
First thing that happens after they sell to Korg. A cheap rehash of an old pedal aimed at...whatever these people are supposed to be. Not enough money in the kickass metal guys who can actually play I guess.

I believe they’re referred to as “musicians”. As a bassist trained in jazz and a giant fan of prog metal, music is music no matter the flavor or complexity. People can use their instruments or pedals however they please despite the meta, and that’s the beauty of it!

I get that darkglass doesn't want to be seen as "just the metal go to" and I'm totally fine with that, but that is.... Rather the wrong direction for what seems to be not a strong release either....
So, it is basicly the same as the B3K, but in another housing/layout ?
The major difference looks to be the addition of the hidden "tone" knob in the B3K and the absence of the grunt/attack boost switches found on the B3K. I figure they probably serve about the same purpose.

Actually, we are gonna follow the opposite path and launch different and new pedals in this format.
And then make Ultra versions of them.
