What do you use the clean the brush off with between costs?
I get lifting on the free edge as my nails grow. This happens even when I file off the natural shine and apply dehydrate. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this?
Hi, try using protein bond before gel application.
I had the same problem, i solved it by using brusch od nail glue on the free edge, and i would reuse it after a week on the sides where the new nail grow , i have a short video about it on my channel, on one hand i didn't use the glue, and on the other i did, huge difference 😉
My ibd gel is more sticky than this one and doesn't apply like polish
you can heat it up by rubbing the bottle with both ur hands to warm it up before using
Hello - can I use the Just Gel top coat? (I have the No Cleanse)
Do you have any recommendations for lifting, even when following the above steps (dehydrate and powerbond)?
Try buffing the natural shine off of your nail before applying Dehydrate.
@@MDudgeon0518 Thank you! I do that and still have lifting :( I wonder if I just have oily nailbeds.
Hi, I use protein bond before gel application. For my clients who experience severe lifting, I use an acid base primer first, then I apply protein bond. Hope this helps. Light Elegance also has a system for this problem, but I have not tried it yet.
@@sha91101 thank you! I tried a protein bond and still had lifting. I switched to NoLiftNails primer and had a lot of success. I had difficulty finding other acid based primers - is there one you recommended?
@@jacquelynculver4051 at what step/point do you apply the primer?
Power bond jruri hain kya?
Will this disguise the ugly vertical ridges that my nails have?
Yes. Gel formulas are self-leveling. If you have a thicker product, you can even turn your hand upside down so that the product forms a smooth arched shape.
If you have vertical ridges on your nails that is a sure sign of a severe vitamin D3 deficiency. You need to get your body checked out ASAP, please.
If going to apply gel polish dafter curing overlay do you still wipe off stickiness first?
No
Is it hot when in light?
yes
On the bonder bottle it says to cure after application?
No, Power Bond air dries and does not need curing with a lamp. It says so on the bottle.
@@mydelosvids8760 my bottle is ibd LED/UV bonder and that says to cure for 1 minute, I don’t know if Power Bond is different.
It probably is a different product.
PowerBond is IBD's bonder type product, which you air-dry and do not cure. That is why the air-drying is mentioned on the video.
If you use a different product, read the instructions of that product and follow them.
Different products often have different instructions, even if they are same-type products!
I hope I helped :)
mydelosvids Hi thank you that helped a lot! I'm new to all this and didn't know there was more than one kind of bonder in the IBD range. I wish I'd known this before buying the one I've got, an air drying one sound a lot less hassle! I find the one I've got is quite awkward to use because i read that you're not supposed to wipe the sticky residue off before applying the first coat of gel which makes it a bit tricky (well for a beginner like me it's tricky anyway!🙈) I'm going to try and use it more sparingly to see if that makes things easier or I might just buy the Power Bond that air dries and be done with it! 🤣 Thanks for taking the time to reply, it's very much appreciated 😊
@@smurfmonster i have the same bonder as yours, I wanna know what's the different of those 2😮💨 i have always free edge with lifting led/uv bonder, i don't know if it's better with powerbond. (I do file nail bed well and use Dehydrate before bond)
Can you use basecoat instead of bonder?
No
