    Michele, I love your channel! First of all, I would love to see a video on photography tips how to photograph my art and information on how to produce Lino or Giclee prints and pricing and selling those.
    Second, I would love to see your studio and tips on how to set up a small studio starting out at home.
    Third, I would love to take an online class on how to start a business selling my art- producing originals and prints, pricing, marketing and organization (forms, contracts accounting records, etc).
    I love the videos you have put out, but would like a bit more structured format to show me exactly how started professionally. This is a dream for me. I have always loved art and longed to become a professional artist who could make a living with my art. I haven’t seen a class like this on your website, so if it is already there, I apologize. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and encouraging others to pursue their passion.

      Thank you Krista, I do have a little of that content on Patreon, but unfortunately it just isn't popular on UA-cam. However, later in the year I am going to be writing a book that will include many practical tips about the things you have mentioned. Do make sure you are either in my facebook group or on my mailing list (form on website) and you will be notified when it's ready!

      Thanks Tracy, unfortunately the business stuff doesn't do so well on youtube, but I put stuff up on my website sometimes. There is a video about commission mistakes available to Patreon Tier 2 subscribers.

    Are you an organised artist? Or are you happier working in a muddle! Let me know in the comments 😁 **Editing to add, some of you have asked about external hard drive recommendations, I have put links in the video description for you.

    Yes, I would happily watch a full video about setting up commissions and personalized works as I plan on doing pet portrait jewelry amung other things. I would really love see a video about spread sheets and how you use them. Also, what external hard drive(s) would you recommend? Thank you.

      Hi Jamie, I will make a note of the videos you would like and add them to my list. Here are my recommendations for external hard drives and software:
      If you are in the UK: amzn.to/2QWEZYI
      If you are in the US: amzn.to/30qhHO0
      The FREE computer software I use to implement the back ups is AOEMI Backupper: bit.ly/2FRlBWV

    You have all this information I've been looking for 😂 I can't believe it! Number 4 family member... I go Sicilian and say we can have a sit down. (I'm a 100lb blonde stick, not like my family, BUT that usually does the trick! Shove it on off into the future until I can get my current projects done!)
    I have a very dear (broke artist) friend who is physically INJURED from keeping her art shows. Twice injured, actually, due to hoisting up heavy oils that other artists in the exhibits didn't bother with doing, and ...generally offering to do impossible things. She can hardly stand anymore and she's not yet 30! I've offered to "help some", but I couldn't keep up with her. I think she believed if she ran art shows in the boondocks (like, deep country with no roads; places I don't like to FLY over, much less drive to), she'd make money. But she wouldn't do online. (She's about my size: a frail little stick, poor thing.) I think that was your Number 3? I can't recall what the injuries were exactly (torn ligaments and shearing fractures?), but one isn't going to "heal". She has a lifetime injury that now prevents some of her own artwork. 😥
    (What really gets me is that there were LARGE MEN who could have handled their own "creations", and were either thoughtless, drunk, or just entitled. Ugh. I'm not anti-man, just anti-laziness.)

    I am an amateur artist and I love maths and am organised! I am actually an accountant as my day job. Sometimes you just have to throw those stereotypes out of the window ☺️ Your tax advice was spot on by the way

    Thank you, thank you, thank Michele, some of your information is useful for life. I paused after the email advise and sorted out my emails, which got out of control since the pandemic hit us. I hate being disorganised, I find it drains me of my creative energy. I’ll rewatch this video on a regular basis but now I’m going to sort out my tubes of watercolours. I think you’re my virtual fairy godmother, in the nicest possible way. Thank you once again

    Michele, thanks for sharing this with us. I am usually super organized but have let things go during Covid. I am glad to see that I’m doing well with most of the tips on here. I do need to get my emails organized really quickly. I am not quite ready to get my tax stuff started yet but will definitely before selling my first painting.

    Michele , how do you organise your paints, that are in the tubes still. Also, do you have separate
    palettes for different types of paintings , (i.e. portraits, landscapes...).

    • @IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber
      @IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber  3 роки тому

      I keep them in boxes by colour. I used to set out oblong palettes in colour groups, but I have too many paints now as I get sent samples, so I just take out what I need for each painting and make a temporary palette.

    Michelle, in one video you said you live in Europe, so - are you from England? I am from Skandinavia, how does the artpublic differ in Skandinavia from rest of Europe? I often feel that the finnish artists are very "blank and naked". I make anxiety-art, I put down feelings and anxiety-reality on the paper. Will the public understand my art, and am I dreaming when I hope to make a difference in the mental health understanding in the world by spreading knowledge about mental illness?

    • @IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber
      @IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber  3 роки тому

      I am from England, have always considered myself european, unfortunately we have left the EU, but I still feel part of europe. I don't know about art in your country, you will just have to see what the response is. If people don't understand then you will need to make it clearer to them, it sounds a great goal.

    • @petragronqvist628
      @petragronqvist628 3 роки тому

      England will always be Europe, whether its a part of Eu or not :)
      I guess thats true, still mental health is such a big topic; 1/4 of the population suffers from panicattacks at some point of their lives. I guess I have an audience, just need to figure out how to reach them ;)
      I have so much to learn, hard work and dedication :)
      Thank you for always answering ❤

    Thank you Michele. Well that settles it, I'm never going to be able to do all that. Yikes! My art will just stack up around me and they can use it for fuel for my funeral pyre.😉😎
