Didn't they give up on a big Image Comics shared universe because many people kept leaving and taking their characters with them and they got tired of rewriting the universe to explain why those characters aren't around anymore?
Kull, O Conquistador spawn and savage dragon literally had a crossover that spanned across both books in like 2016 savage dragon 216 spawn 266 then ended in SD 217 you had invincible #60 that had all the image hero’s fighting evil invincibles you have SAvage dragon “United we stand” with him spawn invincible shadowhawk and witchblade it’s still very much there but they rarely interact Youngblood and wildcats are the only exceptions that aren’t there no more
I've been typing my own stories that take place in a shared universe for a long time now. I'm thinking about talking about them and the individual characters, teams, etc. sometime in future videos.
Great video. I have just discovered Valiant Universe and I'm reading the rebooted Bloodshot and Manowar, awesome stuff . it's amazing how all their characters are already within the same universe. it's all like one book and very suited for a cinematic universe .
Thanks for making this video. You are right, most people don't know about these universes, so it's nice someone took the time to showcase them. I doubt ultraverse or wildstorm will return, which is a shame, I liked them so much.
Idk if you knew this but invincible and top cow share the same universe under the image umbrella with spawn and savage dragon invincible #60 has all the image hero’s in it fighting a army of invincibles you should Check it out maybe do a video on it
I wish Dark Horse Comics would merge Hellboy Universe, Umbrella Academy Universe, and Mask Universe with the same universe with Ghost, Barbwire, X, and the rest of the Project Sky Universe.
I agree with you 100% wonderful504. The same thing can be said for me in terms of merging the various IPs published by Image and Dynamite into their own shared universes of sorts.
Some other universes are: xenoverse with the alien and predator characters. Hasbroverse with transformers and GIJoe. Archie universe. Extreme with Youngblood , supreme etc. aspen universe with Fathom, soul fire etc.
Just a few more... New Universe/newuniversal King Dynamite (Phantom, Flash Gordon, Mandrake) Milestone Arcana Comics (the Intrinsic) Future Comics (Deathwish, Metallix) Robotech Mobile Suit Gundam
My biggest dilemma is the name of my characters. There's so many names i want to use but most of them are already taken. I dont want to copy everybody's material or names .
I have a plan a to create my own comic universe. I don't really have a name for it but I have an absolute ass load of stories and characters that are a part of it. Although my universe isn't about superheroes. It's mostly normal people, but some do have odd abilities that will be realistically explained, I do plan to have monsters, aliens, and other bizarre elements and at some point in the timeline in the period of late 2022 to early 2023 a global economic collapse happens along with pollution getting out of control, riots, nuclear warfare, a massive epidemic in Japan, among many other things. That's one example of a major event that happens, thus making it post apocalyptic. But the whole universe isn't like that, I plan to have a steampunk-like world wars 1 and 2. A bunch of character back stories. I can't explain it all. But some things I will say are that is does NOT have a multiverse(I find them to be overused, stupid, and makes characters less meaningful.) Not everything is connected but everything is still in the same universe(this is to make it somewhat realistic), technology is slightly more advanced in this universe, this universe has a lot of variety with stories focusing on crime, war, horror, post-apocalyptic survival, various anthology series, rebuilding civilization, a few crossovers(only would be done in a realistic manner, will be built up to most of the time), space stories(might do, not sure), and incorporated various mythologies(with slight changes to fit this universe). I currently have rough plans that cover everything from the late 1800's all the way to the late 2020's. I may comment more on it if people want to know more, or have any questions.
We have a similar mindset. I as well plan to create a universe where several characters have solo stories and back stories. Just the same, they will do exist at times based upon the story lines created. I love how you make sense of the abilities, as am I. Lol, I agree about the multiverse thing. Keep it up and I look forward to what you put out. 👊🏼
If I got my Fictional Superhero universe started There would be another AllStar Comics I actually have a video on my channel where I breakdown the basic of the universe
Nice video but I’ll be real funny if every single superhero comic universe that you mentioned in your video including Marvel and DC all take place in the same universe
As I understand it, in the beginning Vertig was loosley part of DC. But after some time it was decided that they should be thier own separate enteties. And I guess it was when the New 52 started Vertigo together with the Wildstorm universe they started to blend together again.
Valiant and Image could have made an amazing cinematic universe!!! I think they both have holes in their universe if your going to cover a plethera of issues but together they cover many of them!!!
Personally, I don't consider comic labels, such as Vertigo, Wildstorm, Skybound and Top Cow, a seperate universe. Particularly since they are published by the same company (DC and Image respectively). Also, all characters from Image Comics all appeared in the (rather unfinished) Image United crossover, which proves that Image is a shared universe in itself. Therefore, I consider Dark Horse, DC and Marvel being a shared universe as a whole. Not sure where the Pinoy Universe fit in to this. I am a big fan of Darna and Bayan Knights, but since there are no known crossovers from the Philippines, I don't thing we should could call them that (though Mars Ravelo created alot of these Pinoy superheroes such as Lastikman, Tiny Tony, Darna and Captain Barbell to name a few).
Philly blunt Actually, if you read my comment more closely, you should know that I wasn't referring to reading a comic book. I was more saying that I don't consider the labels as 'Shared Universe', as these labels (such as Vertigo and Top Cow) are still published by their parent companies (DC and Image respectively). However, I do agree: Valiant is very good...
Daniel Brongers not all books in a publishing house is part of the same universe, Darkhorse, image, IDW and Boom has many titles that don't share the same universe
Man you didn't actually know anything about the Ultraverse, did you? That's fine, I'm not trying to condemn you, just saying you kinda shuffled your way though it with nothing to say.
actually there is comic book cross over between invincible and spider man and invcible and invcible even meet the avengers so it's more of marvel cross over
👏👏👏 i'm glad, it seems like everything is Marvel and DC, sick of them, their attitude suggests think they can own every superhero and supervillian and go as far as trademarking the name, they need to be cut down off their high horses!
magatetus Considering DC, yeah they can actually own every super hero seeing how ALL of their characters are from different comic book publishers. Quality, Fawcett, Charlton, Milestone and Wildstorm are some of the companies DC bought out so they can use their heroes in some way. As for Marvel, well not as much as DC as most of their characters (specifically the ones made during the Silver and Bronze Age) are all original ideas. The only publication I can think of were Marvel bought out a comic publisher is Malibu, and they only care about their coloring methods rather than heroes.
As much as I like Marvel and DC, I still agree with you in some way. The market is oversaturated with Marvel and DC superheroes, so a little more variety would be nice. Especially if the next major comic book universes to get the Hollywood treatment where to be Image, Dark Horse, Valiant, Dynamite and whatever other superhero shared universes I failed to mention respectively.
Harbinger looks like a copy of the xmen. Bloodshot kind of have the same story as Wolverine. XO just looks like an alien Iron man. Shadowman is like the Dr. Strange of Valiant. I love Valiant, but I notice how similar they are to Marvel, and that is one of their biggest weakness. I think only two character seem very original: Faith and Ninjak, but even Fath is like a "mutant" (born with superpowers). The only way I see they can compete with Marvel or DC is to create better stories than Marvel and DC. Marvel now a days suck!
Back in the 90's I thought Marvel and DC were the best. I tried Image and noticed great art work, but bad story telling. Dark Horse was okay. I thought Valiant were not that great in art design, but when I read the story telling of XO-Manowar and Bloodshot, man I was hooked, but it was short lived. The 90's just had the excessive over commercialisation, I had to stop collecting. Valiant with their issue 0's, Image with their coupons, Marvel and DC with their special covers. It did not help the prices went up.
back when Valiant was GREAT and Danesh Shamdasani was CEO and then everything when down the hill when DMG bought Valiant
Didn't they give up on a big Image Comics shared universe because many people kept leaving and taking their characters with them and they got tired of rewriting the universe to explain why those characters aren't around anymore?
LoneStarWolf Entertainment they are still connected
What?
@@javimontana817 Nope, they aren't.
Kull, O Conquistador spawn and savage dragon literally had a crossover that spanned across both books in like 2016 savage dragon 216 spawn 266 then ended in SD 217 you had invincible #60 that had all the image hero’s fighting evil invincibles you have SAvage dragon “United we stand” with him spawn invincible shadowhawk and witchblade it’s still very much there but they rarely interact Youngblood and wildcats are the only exceptions that aren’t there no more
@@javimontana817 I know, was all connected, but not anymore since Invincible's end.
I've been typing my own stories that take place in a shared universe for a long time now. I'm thinking about talking about them and the individual characters, teams, etc. sometime in future videos.
Please do! I would love to know about it. I love fictional shared universe's I'm even making my own.
Did you do it
Great video. I have just discovered Valiant Universe and I'm reading the rebooted Bloodshot and Manowar, awesome stuff . it's amazing how all their characters are already within the same universe. it's all like one book and very suited for a cinematic universe .
Dynamite
Thanks for making this video. You are right, most people don't know about these universes, so it's nice someone took the time to showcase them. I doubt ultraverse or wildstorm will return, which is a shame, I liked them so much.
Wildstorm is coming! 2017
Ultraverse & Crossgen
Do you guys know that wildstorm was a part image comics right
Thanks, I've been looking for something like this for a while and I'll definitely check into it.
Idk if you knew this but invincible and top cow share the same universe under the image umbrella with spawn and savage dragon invincible #60 has all the image hero’s in it fighting a army of invincibles you should Check it out maybe do a video on it
Also the wild storm univers was apart of the image universe and was in big crossovers with spawn and other hero’s too before dc bought them
DC just needs to the Crisis of Infinite Earths and unite all the heroes to fight the Anti Monitor or something.
I wish Dark Horse Comics would merge Hellboy Universe, Umbrella Academy Universe, and Mask Universe with the same universe with Ghost, Barbwire, X, and the rest of the Project Sky Universe.

Here's another one:
www.heroicmultiverse.com/heroicpub/
Heroic Publishing
Flare, Icicle, She-bat, G-girl, Southern Knights and a few others
Wouldn't Extreme fall under the Image banner? Also, didn't Aspen Comics start as an imprint of Image, or some other comic book publisher?
My biggest dilemma is the name of my characters. There's so many names i want to use but most of them are already taken. I dont want to copy everybody's material or names .

Hey man thanks for the video. I just started collecting comics and started the Valiant verse. I'm loving everything I've read so far.
I have this rewatched this video like a thousand times

very great video dude

"Starting in 2017" that... didn't age well
(8:44) what`s the crossover comic called ?
I love Ultraverse.
Valiant deserves more success.
The 2012 relaunched Valiant shared universe is my favorite one period
Yeah you forgot The cross gen universe that Marvel brought 1st comics white head dynamo Joe and sable
As I understand it, in the beginning Vertig was loosley part of DC.
But after some time it was decided that they should be thier own separate enteties.
And I guess it was when the New 52 started Vertigo together with the Wildstorm universe
they started to blend together again.
You forgot the Hasbro/boom studios universe
V for vendetta has a movie
Valients died before I expect it to die again
I wanna make my own universe mostly about samiris and ninjas
,
do it.
What about the Irredeemable universe from Boom?
Valiant and Image could have made an amazing cinematic universe!!! I think they both have holes in their universe if your going to cover a plethera of issues but together they cover many of them!!!
What was the last universe called again im not sure
question is: how non-superhero shared comic universe are out there?

Read Valiant reboot from 2012 on
Philly blunt What has that got to do with my comment, if you don't mind me asking?
Its a suggestion for good comic books. You were citing books, I gave a personal recommendation. No need thank me, the shit speaks for itself. Smh

can you do a list of all 14 universes
Yes
Which comic book company has Judge Dredd and Solar Man of the Atom?
Judge Dredd is from 2000 AD and isn't part of a shared universe. (Only Judge Death and Judge Anderson are part of his universe).
How do you spell the last universe again?
half of these properties have nothing or close to nothing on youtube - SAD!!!! can't find the universe or most characters!!!!
Well, Project Black Sky is no more
Astro City!
hey bro when did carl and negan come out with invincible
Man you didn't actually know anything about the Ultraverse, did you? That's fine, I'm not trying to condemn you, just saying you kinda shuffled your way though it with nothing to say.
and everything
They are making a v for vendetta tv series
valiant comics storytelling is much better than DC or marvel imo.
they concentrate on fewer characters and give a lot of thought to make it epic.
First, TNMT, and many more
"You know, absolutely, basically"... Talk about having crutch word or two.
And everything.
"N ERRTHING" Smh lol. I'm the biggest fan of Valiant. Collect them all. Project Black Sky & the GI Joe Transformers worlds are fun. Hanna Barbera
Top Cow is quite good, I must say. Huge fan.
Valiant is best imo
we need a RATED R universe! in movies! full of violence, sex, drugs, rapes, murder, and a lot of bad words. Image do you hear me?????????
actually there is comic book cross over between invincible and spider man and invcible and invcible even meet the avengers so it's more of marvel cross over
Different universe, doesn't count

Marvel is way way more mainstream than DC.
Marvel only became mainstream with the movies, most are casuals that know shit about the comics
Bro did you swallow a squeaky toy?
Captain Waffle .
I'm creating a massive Universe ,called Supreme Universe. This universe is the result of the fusion of every single ficcional universe .
Aí sim, meu bom
That's already been taken, the omniverse
You forgot probably the oldest shared universe next to DC.... Archie!!! For shame.
Valiant heroes are boring and fucking ugly in design 😪
Elias bull crap. their storytelling is much better than DC or marvel. if they came before both universes would be destroyed
Harbinger looks like a copy of the xmen. Bloodshot kind of have the same story as Wolverine. XO just looks like an alien Iron man. Shadowman is like the Dr. Strange of Valiant.
