I like how they don't skip over the importance of good dental hygiene right before delivering an ass-whupping. It's the little things with this show, ya know?
That look in his eyes as he's pounding that belter's head into slush... same look he gave Murty after he punched him in the face. Amos truly is "That" guy.
I love what he said before this scene, He told his bunk mates he was about to take a shower, they all was like NO, You know what they will do to you in there, and Amos is like, Yup........I Hate waiting, lmao
Amos' childhood was literal hell, he had probably killed several people before turning 18 and he grew up strong in a full 1g. Those belter never stood a chance, it was like 6 rats fighting a bull.
I've been told there is more dialogue in the book. Amos says he killed his first man when he was 16, so he did take the kid seriously. The kid says good. Amos says, no....that's not good.
Any time you brace a lone man with your chums and he doesn't act in the least bit concerned you really ought to realize that you should have chosen your target better.
I watched this over and over trying to figure out if he has a switchblade disguised as a toothbrush and it looks like he just stabs a dude with his toothbrush.
"This one time back when I worked passenger flights on the Tycho to Luna route we had this Belter gang roughing up passengers, mostly other Belters . They tried to fight this mean looking Earther in the showers. *chuckles* Whole lot of them got beat to an inch, one guy got stabbed with a toothbrush, a fucking toothbrush. Had no more trouble the rest of the flight."
Kinda wish they had left in the whole "doing it for a little girl motivation". Amos's extreme protectiveness of children from the books is one of his most likeable qualities IMO.
You can see this in his interactions with Prax, and that's directly why he can be "That Guy" when Prax couldn't/should't be. Amos just can't stand for harming children, and he's going to delivery either justice or prevention or both.
S5 Amos somehow reminds me of John Wick. He left that Baltimore life behind and now that he's going back to Earth, it's already starting to pull him back into that life like it's gravity - on a spaceship - flying towards earth.
I highly doubt Wes is someone to screw with in real life. When he throws a punch in the show, it looks like a serious punch. He spent years on an aircraft carrier as a firefighter. That is not sissy work. He's probably got massive core strength. You can see it when his back is turns, look at how broad he is across the back of his neck and shoulders.
Impressive that Amos held back in this fight. These guys lived in a microgravity environment since they were born and they decide to pick a fight with an Earther who even on Earth is a force to be reckoned with? Scratch that, it wasn't even a fight!
He was not holding back here. He was letting go. His friend from earth had just died. And he needed an outlet for his grief. He chose this situation not to be a hero, but because he wanted to make sure that the only people hurt from his outburst were people that deserved it
Why would Belters think they could fight an earth human? They're clearly weaker in every way, from muscle to bone density. In reality, Belters should be fearing any physical encounter with earth humans. Heck even Martians without their suits should fear earth humans, even in low gravity, as humans will still have even more strength and speed in lower gravity.

Easily the best quote from the series
Once you learn about Amos’ childhood, you completely understand the utter savage that he is.
The dudes childhood was fd up big time

You made three mistakes.
First, you took the job.
Second, you came light.
A four man crew for Amos?
Fucking insulting
I see what you did there...🌕🌔🌓🌒🌑
Is that a chronicles of Riddick reference?

More like a bull-shark, in its own element.

Stabbing someone with a toothbrush... Amos's actor should be in the next John Wick film.

Great scene for a great man: Amos! Thank you for uploading!

Lesson here, Belters: You come for the "I am THAT GUY", you best not miss.
THey missed.
Moral of the story, Don't mess with Amos
Learned that back in season 1
Not the man you ever, EVER want to start shit with.
Anyone know where to find a clip of him yanking the gun out of the guys waistband and slapping him with it later in the episode?
If you wanna be That Guy, you gotta beat That Guy.
Never underestimate a man with a toothbrush.
My right ear liked this
Loved the way this is shot

Also, so Amos just carries around a tooth brush that can be used as a shiv, just in case?
Coo', coo'.
Now he has to brush his teeth again.
I know it's just Wes acting, but I still wouldn't f with him

“Be smart and take the beating” belter says to Amos, not happening.
You forgot him thanking them for the punch in the mouth....THAT was beautiful. They started it not him.
Amos aka Timmy distant ancestor went by the name John Wick...
