The song, "HAFIÐ EÐA FJÖLLIN" is written by Ólafur Ragnarsson. Siggi recorded it for an album 1994, (Bísinn á Trinidad) and slowly it took off as a kind of a "national hymn" for the part of Iceland he comes from, Westfjords. It's written about Siggis home village Flateyri.
Today, there are many different recordings and versions of the song available.
