Holy Hell! I am SO glad they managed to stay THIS true to the original movie. I was afraid that Disney would never have allowed it and we would have gotten some watered down version. But thank god.

In case anyone isn't caught up on Unchained X / Union Cross plot, both Marluxia and Larxene's Somebodies, Lauriam and Elrena, were somehow keyblade wielders during the Keyblade War. So it looks like that is what Xemnas is hinting at in this scene. What a twist!
@@feiya7506 That's exactly what I think. Man this is getting exciting. Lauriam is such a good guy in KH:UX that I root for him even now. And Elrena was so cute that I love how she has some secrets to her even now. But, its jaw dropping to think that Demyx was there, and even more incredible to fathom Luxord was there too. I haven't even seen or heard of their real selves yet, and it seems that Ventas wasn't the only one to be forced into the future. I hope Ephemer and Skuld are able to travel to the future too.

And no one in-game, except apparently Xemnas and presumably Xehanort, know about any of them, not even themselves, so its definitely a tightly kept secret.
Sora, Goofy, and Donald experienced the reality of being a pirate for a day and learned the wonders of living out at sea. Such amazing things such as first hand murder, graphic acts of keelhauling, and hanging around literal criminals. Where there would be adventure and gold, Sora saw sickness and malnutrition. Half the crew didn't exactly eat properly or had access to the normal necessities spending years on a boat and only seeing land once a fucking year. Everyone was drunk and Goofy watched a man curled in hunger pains and crying before falling asleep as he thought. However he just watched a man starve to death.
And don’t forget the ending where they happily witness their criminal friends destroying an Armada ship killing hundreds of innocent, honest, hard-working men who were just doing their job on the law enforcement vessel, ruining the lives of hundreds of families back home and bringing crippling poverty upon their wives and children who will now have to work to near-death just to eat. But that’s not important as Sora and his friends thought they were the bad guys and they were being sent to the “Realm of Darkness” or somewhere where they will atone for their sins and then come back to the “Realm of Light”.
So I just had a funny thought. Sora as a child, loving everything about pirates. He would sing Pirate themed songs as he and Riku would go to the play island. Then Riku would threaten to throw Sora overboard if he kept singing because it's getting annoying since Sora only knows the first line of a Pirates life for me.
We'll actually in the first game sora did hinted he would use the ship to set sells with kairi but riku stopped him and now because of that we are in this keyblade mess.
Honestly this sounds pretty true to formula. They were always talking about wanting to set sail. That kind of talk doesn't come easy unless you have a love for pirate stories
I think they may have taken some lines straight from the movie, Most of the lines said is EXACTLY what Sparrow and crew said in the movie. I could be completely wrong and these voice actors are AMAZING at what they do.
ya know Sora's reaction is sort of realistic considering he watched Flynn/Eugene bleed to death in Corona and then Anna get turned into an ice sculpture in Arendele and now sees one of his favourite pirate world friends get stabbed right in front of him, he's just so done with these mean assholes hurting his friends and then just straight up fucking *PUNCHES* the Keeper of death in the head. Aint no keyblade needed when you got pure rage on your side. Kudos to the sound designer tho, I *felt* that stab with just the noise alone, yeesh.
It’s astonishing how incredibly realistic they made this section of the game look. Definitely my favorite portion just for the graphics. They got Jack’s movements perfectly too, all wobbly and off balance because of his sea legs and how he’s accustomed to being on a ship, not on solid land.
😁 Watching parts of this is kinda surreal. I feel like watching the actual movie then some cartoon character pops up and mutters some bullshit about "hearts" or `friendship and I'm reminded its kingdom hearts. 😂
Man I feel bad for the developers with this world in particular. Stuck with Sora's POV, At World's End's story is damn near *incomprehensible* to translate especially without the context of Dead Man's Chest. I'm trying to imagine anyone unfamiliar with POTC making sense of why Elizabeth is suddenly the Pirate King. Also, the trade off scene really doesn't work with Default overworld music as opposed to Zimmer's score.
Anybody else imagine the Cerberus, Stealth Sneak, Ursula's lair, Oogie Boogie's room, and Maleficent boss fights in the first game when fighting the Giant Eel Heartless? Squirming Evil is the best boss music in my opinion.

I actually have a theory on why Sora, Donald, and Goofy can breathe and talk underwater.. Remember when they went to Atlantica? In KH2 they kept going back and forth, switching to and from being sea-beings so maybe because they kept going back and forth so much the magic from going to Atlantica had begun to seep into their bodies to the point where they could breathe and speak underwater
You know what's funny is i would image if sora actually did build that boat in the first game have taken kairi with him i'm sure he would be a great pirate but sadly riku stopped him from making that boat and now we are stuck in this keyblade mess. I would love to see that actually since in the first game we had to find missing parts of the boat to have out time wasted by riku.

Tbh this world was The most and I capitalized the T in The cause it certainly was ,The most impressive graphically, not only was it graphically impressive but was also The most super immersive out of all the worlds in the kh3 perspectively.
I know that they're staying true to the story and I have no problem with that. But I have to point this out, they do know that Donald could have healed Will's injuries making it pointless for him to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman.
Actually, I think Donald magic doesn't work that way! I think he can only heal people hurt by magic only. When it comes to physical injuries, he can't do anything about it.
Wow, Sora must posses extremely good lungs. All the time he spend underwater without takin' a breather while battlin'. Also, I love pirates of caribbean.
To be fair, Larxene isn't very likable herself. The replica who took Demyx's spot is probably Replica Riku or Xion. Just how many schemes are in play here? We have Xehanort's plan, Xemnas's plan with Marluxia and company, Xigbar's hunt for a box(MoM's box?) and there are probably other schemes later in the game.
Honestly I feel like Davy Jones was freaking pointless. He didn't show up till the third act. Seriously it's been YEARS since At World's End. Could've done something MORE with Davy. He shows up at the end, has a boss fight, does a scene from the movie, argues with Sora, stabs Will, and dies. He showed up and did very little. Also I was legitimately shocked they actually showed someone DYING. Not fading into light or darkness, ACTUALLY being stabbed and DYING. Like, holy shit. And Sora had a REACTION to it. Still the whole thing felt ridiculous. Props to Square for getting the movie accurately and fucking just letting the KILLING actually happen.
Kingdom of corona as well, mother Gothel stabbed that dude and killed him until rapunzel brought him back. Sora didn’t see the stabbing but he did see a dead dude.

Since I forgot how At World's End ended, and hadn't watched any other Pirate's movies, I didn't know Will got stabbed. So that probably was part of the surprise. That and since I knew people died in the Pirates world the moment Will got stabbed I was like "WHOA, did they just fucking kill one off the most important characters of the movie?!"

Really fun world traverse through the town which couldn’t have been done in kh2,underwater exploration,expansive gameplay,& the black queen of the seas appears along with a fight with Davy Jones!!! Fucking Ace as fuck
Davy Jones is such a cool boss fight. Also does Calypso have some idea of what’s going on with the other worlds? The way she smirks at Sora makes me think so.
If you bounce between exile island and confidment island you max iut the ship fast. Visiting them ince with make them fast travel points to speed it up

Sora and friends didn't survive the waterfall and died. Seriously, they ended up in Davy Jones's Locker. It's a term that describes a sailor who died in the sea. Or it is also a term that simply means the bottom of the sea.
They might visit the area but not actually died. But then I remember how Sora and company visits Hades in the Underworld without dying.... So yeah it should not have surprised me

Ok as much as I LOOOVVVEEE KH3, its lore and its crazy logic... THIS is really stretching it thin, I mean I can suspend my disbelief and willing to suspend it, but KH is going against its own world logic here... isn't the point of changing their appearance in Atlantica aside from maintaining ORDER is for them to BREATHE underwater much less talk? Here, Sora just casually dives long hours as a human and talks underwater like nothing. I get that its too explore worlds and stretching the creative imagination of world building, but c'mon guys xD

Tbh this world was The most and I capitalized the T in The cause it certainly was ,The most impressive graphically, not only was it graphically impressive but was also The most super immersive out of all the worlds in the kh3 perspectively.
I know that they're staying true to the story and I have no problem with that. But I have to point this out, they do know that Donald could have healed Will's injuries making it pointless for him to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman.

Actually, I think Donald magic doesn't work that way! I think he can only heal people hurt by magic only. When it comes to physical injuries, he can't do anything about it.

To be fair, Larxene isn't very likable herself. The replica who took Demyx's spot is probably Replica Riku or Xion. Just how many schemes are in play here? We have Xehanort's plan, Xemnas's plan with Marluxia and company, Xigbar's hunt for a box(MoM's box?) and there are probably other schemes later in the game.
Honestly I feel like Davy Jones was freaking pointless. He didn't show up till the third act. Seriously it's been YEARS since At World's End. Could've done something MORE with Davy. He shows up at the end, has a boss fight, does a scene from the movie, argues with Sora, stabs Will, and dies. He showed up and did very little. Also I was legitimately shocked they actually showed someone DYING. Not fading into light or darkness, ACTUALLY being stabbed and DYING. Like, holy shit. And Sora had a REACTION to it. Still the whole thing felt ridiculous.
Props to Square for getting the movie accurately and fucking just letting the KILLING actually happen.

Since I forgot how At World's End ended, and hadn't watched any other Pirate's movies, I didn't know Will got stabbed. So that probably was part of the surprise. That and since I knew people died in the Pirates world the moment Will got stabbed I was like "WHOA, did they just fucking kill one off the most important characters of the movie?!"

Sora and friends didn't survive the waterfall and died. Seriously, they ended up in Davy Jones's Locker. It's a term that describes a sailor who died in the sea. Or it is also a term that simply means the bottom of the sea.

Played most of this last night, but I'm still stuck on the 2nd naval battle with Luxord's ship!
oof that is a tough one for sure. Try to spawn more side ships, take them out and use tidal wave. Make sure to use the water shield!!!
And stay away from Luxord’s’ ship when the cyclone appears if not that then use the barrier.
As good as the music is, I’m disappointed that He’s A Pirate wasn’t used once. Would’ve been perfect during the Davy Jones boss fight.
I like the part where sora volunteer to the Relm of Darkness and they laugh at him because he doesn't have the power of waking and stage nake rescue

Ok as much as I LOOOVVVEEE KH3, its lore and its crazy logic... THIS is really stretching it thin, I mean I can suspend my disbelief and willing to suspend it, but KH is going against its own world logic here... isn't the point of changing their appearance in Atlantica aside from maintaining ORDER is for them to BREATHE underwater much less talk? Here, Sora just casually dives long hours as a human and talks underwater like nothing. I get that its too explore worlds and stretching the creative imagination of world building, but c'mon guys xD
