OMG Stephany if one day i'll see you in front of me i'll give you the hugest hug for a good long half an hour, forget your good exquisite recipes and amazing explanation that never fails, just your beautiful positive energy of a caring mother/sister, as if you're explaining to your younger brother or your son, and all you want is his baking to be successful. My Almighty God i Love you much Mwah'. God bless you and bless your family.
This is truly the best fudge I have ever made. My husband really liked it. He said it was like what we ate from a candy factory this summer and I will make again
Yes, like most fudge recipes, it is quite sweet. Although, I would say, not as sweet as a lot of recipes. If you want it less sweet I would use bittersweet chocolate.
Thanks Stephanie I hope someday I will definitely come to see you. State. I learn lot from you .I love the way you explain baking everything. Your baking is super.my big hug and kiss to you 👑😙
We love your comments however due to our busy schedule questions on the recipes may take some time. We check our Facebook page more often so if you would like a quicker answer post your question there. A link to our Facebook page is in the description above.
In my area a pound of Baker's Chocolate Bar costs ~ $18 whereas a 2 kilo bag of Hershey's Chocolate chips cost $13.99, which is $3.13 a pound, or about one sixth the cost! There are close to 12 cups of chips in a 2 kilo bag of chips. I have used the 2 2/3 cups per pound conversion supplied below, Hershey confirmed.
I along with so many others. Find your recipes to be the best. I’d love to spend hours with you making all kinds of delicious foods. I’m going to make this for Xmas. Thank you once again💕.
Hi..thx..this was so easy! have question..instead of waiting it to cool to room temp..can i pop it in the fridge for a little while? and how long in the fridge is ok?
I can't imagine it being sweet enough for me.. I would bet it's rich n smooth but I need sweet! Lol.. I am still going to try this.. I know so many chocohoics lol.. Thank you.. 🙋💕 🎄🎅🎁🎅🎄
Usually condensed milk is "Sweetened Condensed Milk". If you like really sweet (like me) get one of those BIG Belgian chocolate bars Walmart sells - the milk chocolate is sweet, the dark chocolate is wonderful too!
You could use the same weight of chocolate chips, although I don't find they melt as nicely as chocolate. In order for you to calculate the amount of chocolate chips you would need, one cup of chocolate chips weighs 170 grams.
Hi Stephanie, this recipe sounds and looks yum! I do have couple of questions though. Doesn't the fudge become very sweet (as sweet as a milk chocolate) because of the condensed milk? I prefer dark chocolate (over milk chocolate) so if this recipe is indeed sweet, what do you suggest I do to cut down on the sweetness?
Hi Stephanie, can i wrap it in small square pieces and store it at room temperature for about a week or more? I was kinda thinking this for a good small business.
Hi Stephanie please let me know what type of chocolate I should use. I use morde compound chocolate mix of dark and milk but it does not become dry it remains wet
I made this with semi sweet chocolate chips 2&2/3 of a cup and it turned out pretty good but it could have been a bit sweeter any suggestions. Would milk chocolate chips work?
thanks for the recipe looks really good. I hope when i make it, it is a soft but firm fudge like it looks in the video. Im worried because it doesnt boil at all that it will be just runny. I will post again after i try the recipe thanks!
Geezermann -good point. He didn’t specify his business was about food but why would he go on a video about making fudge and thanking the poster for recipes on fudge if his business is say, mortgages? Lol
Lee48Lee - I know, it was a silly question perhaps, but I do wonder if he started making fudge, and is he still in business? I guess I'm too curious, lol.
Excelente! Delicious! You Made ir look real easy! Thank You so mucho! I really hope that when i try it Will be as good as tours! Greetings! 😎👍🥄😛😘😋🌵🍴😁🔪👋
Is it okay if i use evaporated milk instead of condensed milk? Whata the other alternative for condensed milk? :) would very much apprciate if you reply :) thanks
Krystal Palencia Sweetened condensed milk is different than evaporated milk so it can't be used as a substitute in this recipe. Sweetened condensed milk is actually a ready made concentrated sugar syrup. It is made from a mixture of whole milk and sugar that has had about 60 percent of its water removed. Its consistency is thick and sticky (like honey) and it is very sweet tasting. You could make the Chocolate Marshmallow Fudge instead as it's very similar. joyofbaking.com/candy/ChocolateMarshmallowFudge.html
You are amazing!!!! I found your channel juuust yesterday and made the buckeye peanut butter candies!!! Sooooo good!!!! Thank you very much!!! I will make more and more of your recipes!!!!!!!:))))))))
Hi there love this recipe people always think im an expert fudge maker, i dont correct them:p I just made two of these last night but one i used white chocolate instead of dark and put oreo bits in it no idea if it will work though do you think it will set fine? Also im giving them as gifts in 5 days so i wanted to be sure i can freeze them with no adverse affects????
Joy of Baking Thanks for getting back to me:) Do you think that you would get the same results if you used white chocolate instead of dark? Im concerned its not going to set as well. Love your web page btw its my go to page as i know what ever recipe i use will taste amazing:)
once i wanted to do some bounty bars and i did a mistake by cooking the milk but it come out amazing i cooked the milk for 2h and it get so dark color like caramile and it have this like jeli texsture
Can I use milk chocolate for this. Also, on all of your recipes, when you say to use a bitter sweet or a semisweet chocolate, can I always use milf chocolate instead?
You know Steph, I made a chocolate fudge recipe from you tube and I kept it in the fridge overnight since I made it before late, gave it a good 12 hrs. in the fridge and the next day when I took it out to cut I found it started sweating, it was hard to cut but it was sweating and I had to cut it fast and put it back in the fridge, no way I will be able to leave it out even for a second because it will start sweating and I will have chocolate all over, please advise me how I could make some changes as it is an expensive item, same ingredients as you have put in, I do not want it to soften, I like that bite with a crunch. Hope you will have some idea I could use, thank you.
It must be because of the type of chocolate you used. Did you use a semi sweet or bittersweet chocolate. One with at least a 55 percent cacao content. You need that type of chocolate in order for the fudge to set.
Steph permit me to call you by your first name, I am from Mumbai, India and I love going through your recipes because they are simple and tasty. There is one question I need to put forth, I am looking for a crunchy chocolate fudge, something we do not need to refrigerate but can store it outside in the cabinet, I want that crunch as we bite into the fudge, please let me know if it is like this or you have another recipe for a crunchy one, then you can give me the site please Steph, thank you very much. Just trying out some sweets for christmas so I can decide what is easy and what I could do without a hassle, thank you once again and hoping I will hear from you soon. Regards.

Yes, like most fudge recipes, it is quite sweet. Although, I would say, not as sweet as a lot of recipes. If you want it less sweet I would use bittersweet chocolate.

I like Stephanie recipie she give good understanding how to make cake fudge etc. I am Melisha
Hi..thx..this was so easy! have question..instead of waiting it to cool to room temp..can i pop it in the fridge for a little while? and how long in the fridge is ok?
Delicious. Made with Lindt 70% Cocoa bars & Pecans. Mine didn't set well at room temperature, but a short stint in the fridge did the trick.
Yes, you could do that.
i always have trouble lining the pan and removing the foil. Very helpful tips. Thank you.

OMG the trick with the foil! Genious!
You could use the same weight of chocolate chips, although I don't find they melt as nicely as chocolate. In order for you to calculate the amount of chocolate chips you would need, one cup of chocolate chips weighs 170 grams.
Do we need to add a pinch of salt n grease the foil paper before pouring the mixture??

You can also use a Silicone Backing Pan, works beautifully for making Fudge.
I think parchment paper would work pretty good too.

I use either a semi sweet or bittersweet chocolate, not compound.

This came out so well! Such a simple and delicious recipe 😍
Thank you, I truly appreciate!!

Clio Pampa Yes, you could add a liquor to this mixture.
Just drink a bunch of liquor while your baking and you won't care how it taste.
