The wooden object is an impression tool for making impressions on fabrics.
The table is extendable, with wooden so called "rallonges" (extensions), this way you make the table bigger for more guests.

The striped fabrics, from around the 50s were used for covering mattresses. Believe it or not, when I was a child, some 70 years ago, the mattresses were made on request by a "matelassier" (in France). This is why I know this pattern.
It is a fabric block- to make designs on bolts of fabric, could also be used to make the design on wallpaper.

I have a similar wooden stamp with a pattern on one side. Mine is from India and is for stamping fabric I was told.
