My recommendation to build your inventory w/o breaking the bank is to make a list of gear you want along with prices, set a monthly budget, and prioritize items on that list. In a year or two you would be surprised at how much gear and tackle you can collect. Even better if you plan to purchase items out of season, ie summer gear and baits in winter and vice versa. As I type this I think budgeting for fishing would make a great video topic.
Camping soap or travel soap sheets are a must for me. I carry a thermos with clean water in my car and always wash my hands when done or when I get hungry and want to eat.
One thing I carry on me being a bank angler is a tick remover tool. A lot of my spots are through the woods and I usually find at least a few crawling on me and the occasional one that latches on
USPS D here😁 every since I found this channel I had to subscribe all your videos have so helpful to a newer bass fisherman like myself can't wait or a few weeks 👍
Speaking of safety. Lifevest. I wasn't wearing one in my canoe sat but lucky enough it was in the boat. I owe my life to it. Wear it. Especially on the river.
Great series man. I really appreciate all the information. I have recently switched to the plano edge 3700s for all my storage and the 3600s for my bag and they are awesome. It's warming up here in northern Indiana so I'm sure your thawing out there. Good luck on the water brother
My pleasure brother and I really appreciate you watching! I'm glad you're diggin the Edge boxes...I'm loving them as well. Good luck this season my dude! 👊💪
I love listening to your show. I’m 72 and a bank fisherman since I was about 5 fishing with my father and cousins and uncles. I’m generally a worm fisherman and now since watching your show I’m going to try biospawn swim baits any suggestions on hooks jigs or anything else would be appreciated thank you keep up the great work
Hey Howard, I appreciate you watching buddy. I'll link another video below that will help you with the BioSpawn ExoSwim. ua-cam.com/video/TK0xCZaB0T0/v-deo.html
Great video. It helps to know what other fisherman use as well to tweak what I have. Also if anyone’s in the market for a new rod, I recommend any Ducketts or the Abu Garcia Ike series
I always have a small pair or Kobalt metal cutters. Bass swallows the hook worm fishing, reach down, cut the hook in half, top half comes out (still attached to the line) grab the second half with needle nose pliers, push till barb is exposed, grab barb end and pull out through the same hole. No injury, no going in behind the gills. Fast, efficient, yes u will need a new hook but you saved the fish. IMO it’s the fastest easiest way to save a fish from a gut hook 👍
Love my straw hats while fishing. Light & good coverage. Not familiar with mend it. Does it give off chemical smell to deter the bite? Also, can the baits be reused in molding new plastics if they've have mend it on them? Thanks for info & videos. Oh yeah, take the bag to the pond. Most of us need fresh air haha.
I usually add scent to baits that I have used mend it on. As far as pouring new plastics with mend it on them I honestly don't know if it will affect anything or not. Appreciate you watching brother! 👊
Thanks for the vid Jim! Coincidentally my brother got me a huge fishing bag for Christmas to have on the boat, and I only had enough stuff to fill it halfway. One question though, I'm on the Wiley X site right now, and trying to figure out what to get. What do you wear and what are your recommendations?
Hey Rob, my pleasure brother! That's cool man...hopefully this video gave you a few ideas that you can load up. I wear the WileyX Boss frames and with having an Italian nose it's hard to find a pair that really hugs my face...they fit perfect. You should see different recommendations for each lens color on the site. You'll dig em man...super nice glasses. 👊💪 Code TJ81 good for 10% off.
@@TackleJunky81 Cool, I got a decent sized nose too lol. I'm gonna probably grab a few pairs, but I really like the style that you have. Gonna give them a try. Also, my brother picked up a pair of solr bat's last season, and he loves them. Thanks again for all the info!
Great video, as always! 👊🏻 Go through the bag outside, at the pond. Maybe on your truck tailgate with the pond in the background?? Either way, get out of the tackle room!!! 😆
@@TackleJunky81 I hear you don’t use braid to flouro leader? A 2500 for finesse techniques will make for a better cast. And braid to fluoro leader will solve line issues. I only use spinning setups for ned rigs, shakey, and wacky. 2500 for those techniques are much better I found out in my opinion. All preference really. Hope that helps
You forgot side cutters for cutting hooks. 😉 If my Dad had seen the blue hat he would have told you that you needed 2. One to s*":! in and one to cover it up with😂 . I do wear a hat and sun gloves. Even though you have wet wipes you might also want a few napkins or paper towels. Well thought out video. 👍👍

That Plano Edge series disappointed me. I went out and dropped a lot of money on a bunch of them thinking I had found the best tray out there and wow was I wrong... They are loud opening and closing them, they are awkward because they are a hard rigid case the "lid" almost out weighs the tray creating an off balance and don't have an air tight seal. Yes the little silica box is a nice option but I would much rather an air tight seal while throwing an silica pack or two inside. Also the weight of them was an over sight on my part I guess, I tried packing 10 of them into my Tackle bag (like I previously had) only to realize they increase the weight by at least 30% resulting in the bag being about 50lbs.
You should check out Bug Soother! Its all natural bug spray that works awesome!! It helps keep the skeeter off. Its seems to work for ticks as well. Could you explain the different lense colors you use and for which conditions? Another great video! You definitely given me a few ideas to finish off my tackle backpack.
Awesome very very well thought out Vid man. You have influence my wallet yet again....gonna have to pick up the mend it plastic glue now lol. Thumbs up has been smashed. Keep up the great work man.

what size spinning reel should I get? 3000 or 2500?
