Maggie. What a beautiful person. She’s played some amazing characters but there is always a hint of kindness behind her eyes. And maybe some sadness. In each character over the years she’s convinced me she’s all of them. What a talent . I hope everyone will look at some of her staring rolls from when she started. She was as good of an actor then as is now. And it’s obvious she gives her all as each character. Sells us that for sure. I hope people always remember her talent.

I was a child when I first saw her in 1981’s Clash of the Titans. I didn’t remember from that movie until after 2010 when I bought it on DVD. I remember thinking she was one of the most beautiful women I’d ever seen. Not just in movies, but period.
The first thing I saw her in was Sister Act and she has been phenomenal ever since !!! Maggie Smith is both beautiful and talented. Wonderfully, AMAZING!!!
I've been in love with her ever since seeing The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie on first release in the late 1960s -- fabulous performance and a remarkably fine film overall. But she was absolutely SIZZLING in the title role, and I think it one of her best roles. Un-effing-forgettable!

I’m from Arizona.. when I read about Dame Maggie appearing on stage in The Lady In a Van in London, I knew this was a once in a lifetime chance, so I booked theatre tickets that day and would get to london somehow! I did get to London and let me tell you, sitting in my 4th row center seats, I never took my eyes off Her… one is just captivated with her stage presence and her amazing talent. She became that character . An experience of a lifetime that I shall always remember. Thank you Dame Maggie for bringing so many wonderful characters to life.

I first saw her as a child in Sister Act. I'm 42 now, and I've loved her ever since. There was something electrifying that drew me in. However stern she was playing the role, you knew there was a good heart, with a lot of fun beneath the hardened outer shell. That's how I think she has played a lot of her roles - all of them different, but often with the multi-layered energy that Maggie Smith can do to the highest standard.
