Went there in the 70s when it looked like it did in the On the Buses film. It's was great for kids and had a massive snooker hall where I saw Ray Rearden give an exhibition. They even sold milk in bags decades before Costa even thought of using them in their shops. Great times long gone sadly.
I went there in 1999 on a motorcycle news biker weekend, was with a few friends, had a great time there, wish it was 1999 again, the world has got progressively shittier since Y2K
Embassy or castella if you were upstairs or down with your chalet went many times in the 70s and 80s and yeah baby crying in chalet 311 would light up in the bar went mid 80s also to the snooker festivals seen Ronnie and Hendry before they made it big!!! Some great memories there! I’m now in my 50s and keep threatening my 2 kids that I’m gonna take them there! Lol dodgy curtains and all!!!
@@Jobooks9 that opinion is probably strengthened by the fact the place was abandoned during the covid-19 pandemic. I have been going pontins since 2009 and I loved every minuite of it whilst I was there!
I have great memories of this place. We t from the 70s up to the late 90s. Not been since but great memories of a brilliant camp with excellent entertainment
