I watched their past videos. I can see that Yulhee did her best being a wife and mom despite her young age. Can see her efforts in raising the children. So it's unfair when I read comments elsewhere that bashed her saying she didn't care about their children.
Such a heartbreak see Jaeyul acts and hear his conversations in this video 😢. Can't imagine my life without my mom at his age 😢.

And in previous videos you can see that her MIL wasn't supportive but would nitpick about little things. As someone who married into another culture, had to learn the language and is of a different race , I thank God for the support of my wonderful MIL.
when you have a kid, you've given your whole life to them. that's how it supposes to be. I'm not really hating her. but I know for a fact, her decisions to divorce was not right. no matter how harsh it is. the moment you gave birth, you should put all your effort for the kid.

it's annoying how they portray him as a single father when she is stil parenting her children as well as she can when they are with her. It's disapointing to see how their grandmother acts as she had nothing to do with it, when she is literally the main reason for the divorce :/
Can you explain me why is everyone talking about his mom? I don't know much about their divorce or what happened but I think it's odd he have the custody... it's not bad but generally kids always live and are raised with their mom or it's like 50/50 of time each parent but looks like Yulhee can only watch them once every three weeks at his house so I wonder what happened.

@@dramaaaa763 sadly she said it herself in an interview and later on it was published by dispatch (when their divorce was 1st made public). So i'm merely saying what the couple admitted at the time.
@@GabyTk10 actually i dont think they made public the divorce process so even though i have my own theory i don't factually know what happened to make it like this. I know that in summer/long vacations she seems to get the kids (because of insta) but i could be wrong. In the episodes they mention that he kept the house (as he shares with his parents) and they didn't want the kids to go to an unfamiliar place nor keep moving back and forth when they are stil so young, so he kept them like this until they are a bit older.

Why to judge when you are not part of their life. I think your statement just come from the stereotypes. Yulhee was still becoming an adult when she became a mom. She definitely needed the helping hand her MIL was. The MIL must also have sacrificed herself in raising her grandchildren when her son was away for military\concerts or when both Yulhee and Minhwan had schedules. Can you think a 24-25 yr olds raise 3 kids, do household work without family's help? And as a grandmother who is equal part of rearing the family, I don't think even if she had scolded her, it's wrong. It's Yulhee's and Minhwan's business, don't bad mouth their mother based on stereotypes. No one divorces due to family.

This is the first time I see a father getting criticism like this on TROS and I think he deserves it. He doesn't deserve to be called a Superman like other TROS dads when his mom helps him a lot. This show should just focus on him spending time with his children instead of giving him a pity party. It won't work because we all have seen how hardworking Yulhee was in raising the children. They will never make me hate you, Yulhee.
You need to stop being so judgmental of this man. The other husbands live with wives who prep meals and other things for them. The ones with multiple children have older ones who help them to cook and care for the younger kids. This man has three very young children. Additionally, two are girls. Also, plenty of parents on this show have had grandparents provide food and side dishes. There is nothing wrong with his mother helping him. Also, it’s his mother. You may not like her but he can’t care about what you think. You are free to dislike your own mother.
For the people criticizing this man and his mother, find something else to do. No in-law can break up any one’s marriage. I am sure the mother-in-law had the same personality before the wife married the son. When you are married, you have to figure out ways to deal with relatives on both sides. You have to set your own boundaries and decide who to let into your house. If the grandma is problematic, the wife can plan to do other things when she visits and leave her with her son and grandkids. She doesn’t have to entertain her if they clash. It’s his mother. He isn’t going to disrespect her to please anyone. When you marry into a family, you have to learn how to exist peacefully when in their presence.
@@londonmoscinskafrom what I read at the comments, the first pregnancy was accidental and they lived with his parents after getting married,and he left for military service leaving her with his parents. It is a stressful situation for a young couple who maybe were just not meant to be, but tried for the children. With the in laws providing both childcare and financial help, I see why it would be hard for both of them to set boundaries. It sounds like an overall bad situation. Hopefully they will manage to keep a solid co-parenting dynamic and help the kids deal with everything.
@@halane4790 I used to watch them regularly on another show when the twins were younger. His mother was nothing but nice and very helpful. The little boy is attached to her. She walks around with him on her back and they sometimes had to let him sleep at his grandma. She never said no to babysitting. Their divorce has nothing to do with this poor woman. Hateful people will always find someone to blame. Truthfully, the ex wife was very stubborn and willful. She wanted things her way. She was very influenced by what other people thought and were doing. The husband just wanted to do what he thought was best for his children and didn’t care what others were doing. I remember on that show that she was trying to get the son into a school that was so far from where they lived. Plus, all the schools she wanted to send him to was so expensive. There was no compromising with her either. She isn’t as nice as some of these commenters make her out to be. He was much nicer and more respectful. I am not saying that she is a bad person. They were just not compatible to me. They had different views on just about everything. They should never have gotten married in the first place. I am glad they divorced because neither was happy with the other.

Yulhee done her best as mom, raising 3 kids while her husband serve military.. Imagine how hard it is. She probably fedup with the intervention of her in laws..i more than understand how it is. I'm not live with my in laws but every holidays we're staying at my in laws house, she make my kids do everything theirs want, eat all those sweet stuff, the worst part is, she even let my daughters watch youtube in her phone until midnight or probably until dawn, until she fall asleep just to make her sleep in their room. How could you tolerate with that?
he didn't go away for military service. He was given permission to serve at a base near by and go home at end of day cause he has triplets. He basically went from 8am to 4pm or so daily.
@@koreandevil604- as a non-Korean who is familiar with SoKor mandatory military service (because of seeing some Korean actors entering the military for a year or so...) they can do that - I mean be granted permission?

The child seems to hide his real emotions from the father. He finds himself free to express his feelings with his mom when the father is not around, maybe there's something that the child witnessed the way his parents had argued in the past. 😢 The reason why the mom doesn't go inside the house is that she might feel trapped again and with its new setup feels like she doesn't belong there anymore, as if she's been erased by them.

Seems like the mother-in-law is trying to do damage control after ruining her son's marriage, while Minhwan is making himself out to be a faultless father and husband, even after never lifting a finger for his children and never standing up to his mother for his wife. No-one's perfect but I really don't see any benefit to putting your children on TV after a divorce, other than for money and to repair your image. If he was really thinking about his children's benefit, I don't think he'd do this. Not once does he even consider how his wife feels not being able to see her children. He should have matured a lot more and lived independently without his mother before having children.
So currently how is the mother doing like will she be able to Appeal Korea court to see her kids in the future once’s she gets a better job and earn a bit more money or to at least gain more time to see the kids

I feel bad for Minhwan's circumstances whenever he talks in his point of view bcs you can see he truly cares, loves and shows that he only wants what's best for his three kids but remembering how the mother-in-law interferes with their household matters during one of their reality show in the past is 🤡 besides Yulhee is still doing great in co-parenting the three kids, its visible since you can see Jaeyul still being comfortable and acting like a total baby that wants cuddles with his mom. He should have put his wife and kids first. That's why my mom never said anything and interfered in my brother's marriages even when she knew that they were bad.😩😢😥
This reeks of "damage control" and "image restoration" to garner sympathy for him and his Mom. If anyone deserves sympathy it's his ex-wife and their children (we saw Mr. House Husband, we haven't forgotten your Mom rudely interfering in her parenting and your inability to stand up for your wife.) Family trauma does not need to be broadcast for the world to see. Protect your children who are still adjusting.

im on yulhee side of course. its our child, it is up to us on how we want our child eat, sleep and doing anything. but the MIL keep pushing yulhee to do this and that for her own kids. i think if the MIL just give a little bit of advice its okay, however she was complaining on everything what yulhee did. she had to take care of the kids meal and her husband necessities, totally giveup on her dream being an idol. but this family never treat her well. maybe minhwan treat her well behind the cam but still he put his priorities on his mother not his wife and his little family.

I didn't want to watch this at first cause I know I'll tear up...and I did when I saw Jaeyul teared up. I've watched him grow in their past videos. He is very close to his mom. I could see how much she gives her all for her children. Yulhee said herself she wanted to be a young mom. She really loves children. I couldn't imagine her pain when they got divorced because it ment she'll be away from her children most of the time.
Minhwan is not always around. He is busy with his band FT Island (yes I'm a fan of them since 2008). Imagine Yulhee raising the kids alone most of the time. I can't understand why the children is not with their mom except the house is Minhwan's. Like, his money was used to buy the house. Still.....like I said, he is not always around. The kids need their mom like how much they need their dad if not more.
They had a UA-cam channel called "율희의 집" mostly run by Yulhee herself. So, she is basically earning money while she takes care of the children. She does sponsorship and other stuff too. On her channel (if the video/s are still there) she was very open about her struggles and mental health. I don't think she specified it from what I could remember (I could be wrong). I could tell she was going through rough times in private her mental health is taking a toll on her.
I remember they said on IG (when they announced their divorce) that they decided the children remains in the house so that they won't feel a drastic changed because of their divorce. Seriously....I understand that but kids are not dumb. They could feel their mom's absence in the house more than not living in that house.
I'm not Jaeyul but from what I could see (I could be wrong), Jaeyul felt like he should keep his interactions with his mom a secret cause in his mind, his dad is upset with his mom. He felt like his dad kicked their mom out. He could have witnessed his parents arguments where his mom is hurt the most. He could see his mom hiding her tears. Children watching their parents argue and get hurt is already traumatizing enough.
When they said Jaeyul is concern about his dad's feelings when they talk about Yulhee that's why he hides their interactions, in my head...."Are they interpreting the child's behavior well?" I'm no expert but I grew up exposed to my parent's unhealthy relationship ever since I was a child until I became a teenager. Again, I could be wrong, Jaeyul knows more of what happened behind the scene in his point of view.
He loves his dad nonetheless. I don't know why we have to film the children's life after their parent's divorce. Ofcourse, we'll see how it affected the poor children. I also don't understand why are they focusing on how their dad (Minhwan) feels more than the children. I kid you not, I only shed tears on Jaeyul's part. I felt NOTHING watching Minhwan and his mom tear up. I don't know why. I just didn't feel....sorry. I only cared about the children cause I know how it feels. My parents are not divorced but they are still technically are since dad got really good at showing how much he doesn't care about us over time. He is not always around. It's his choice.
If things don't work out between Minhwan and Yulhee, I would feel more at ease if they decide to let the children live with Yulhee. They could alteast alternate like at some days they are with their dad and then the next days with their mom. Children needs their parent's physical presence. Virtual interactions are never enough.

i heard from someone in the comments about what might could be there divorce reason.. i feel like the dad is right!! they already have 3 kids, who still need the parents help! it will be even hard to have a 4th kid.. and in laws- i feel like there the main cause, it's difficult to live with in laws when your married and have kids.. the parents should be able to tell whats good for them and not, what food they eat or whatever not the grandparents!! if they keep interfering, the relationship between the mom and dad will get worse! i think it's good that they divorced before it got worse! but i feel bad for the boy.. i wish they all could spend atleast one day together! the mom and dad could still see eachother as friends and so less awkwardness!!

She had to stay close to her in laws(typical for koreans) and her mother in law always interfere in a bad way!!
Many times she felt alone as her husband was following his mother advice and didn't pay attention on what his wife needed!!
Keep in mind that this show was aired to make fathers involved in child raising since Korea is very patriarchical and want women staying mums and always obedient to the in laws!!

If you can't tell from the paragraph, I've always disliked the old lady since the beginning, even before the twins were born, she was rude and disrespectful to Yulhee and I'm sure she pushed the divorce more than anyone.

I cant imagine the pain all of them are going through. I cried so much watching this. When the news broke out i was totally shock because i adore them so much. Time might heal the parents pain but not for the kids. They will forever remember it. I hope parents can find help how to properly handle their kids (esp. emotionally) in this difficult time.

I think their divorce was not on yulhee's fault, because logically if their mom was not good enough why the children keep missing her though,, the way he need to ask permission to meet with his mom too.
I understand that she gave full custody to his husband because he is more stable (financially, etc.) compare to yulhee while she needs to start from the beginning since she left all her work life for their marriage. Just imagine if you are not stable enough and got full custody on your side, that will make it worst.
And judging from another show (you can search it on youtube), I can tell that the main problem came from their mother in law. She kept interfere their parenting style. As a mother you are allowed to give any advice, but not interfering your child life or way of parenting. They are not you. That's why you better not stay together (with mil @ fil) when you are married.

It's not rainbows and sunshine when you get married. They should have planned before having a trio(kids). How tough it would be for the family members to take care of them with a few age gap with each other. It is a lesson about parenting, sacrifices, and how important family planning is.

I love Jaehyul and the twins. And I used to be FT Islands fan but I feel Minhwan doesn't deserve to be in TROS. It looks like he's using his kids to have a job or to get a good image after his divorce. No matter what they do, we can easily spot authenticity. And Minhwan here doesn't look authentic specially when he brought in his mom.
I want to see the kids grow like the other TROS kids but this ain't it. I hope the directors of TROS can see that...

I think before they got divorced they should've tried more to work their relationship by living out of that house. I know that Yulhee might not be the perfect Mother but she always do things for the best for her kids and Minhwan I guess should've done better.
No matter how this show portrays Minhwan as the better parent, they will never make me root for him. Yulhee raised their kids alone while Minhwan was in the military, while living with Minhwan's parents. Starting from when Jaeyul was a baby, they have already been doing reality shows, so it's kind of absurd that Minhwan can't afford to buy a house of their own, or he just really wants to live close to his parents. And now, his kids are at a vulnerable stage in their lives because of the divorce, he decided to join TROS. Although I want to see Jaeyul and the twins, for me it's better that they are able to express their vulnerabilities in private without cameras constantly at their faces, capturing their vulnerable moments.
So, what's the deal with this episode? One minute, he's the super dad post-divorce, but when Yulhee was holding it down, he was a great husband? Feels like they're sidelining Yulhee as the reason for the split. Why not show her visiting the kids and the challenges she faces as a mom too? And then we have the super grandma dropping hints about her involvement in her son's life. You can be a good son and still be a good husband and dad. But I worry she might poison those kids against Yulhee in the future.
Patch up guys I can see they still love each other and their children my gut says they will be together neglecting mom

I dunno their story but in my opinion as a woman, if it's painful for him i bet it's 100x painful on his ex wife😔imagine her being selfless to let the kids stay on the place where they grew up when in fact she has the right as a mom to bring them with her,, She thinks of them more than she thinks of herself,. i Hope these kids will grew up without feeling incomplete and full of selflove💜💜 Failed marriage does not mean we are a failure, We just learn how to love ourselves more to not stay on a place where we are not happy anymore,When pain is too much it is better to let go than to hold on😊😊

I have watch a season of their old episodes of Minhwan and his wife. I notice the mother in law (his mother) interfere alot with their personal household and i notice his wife looks very uncomfortable. This is the problem of every asian household in general in laws interfer to much with their children own household and parents have hard time letting their children go eventhough they are already married and have their own children. Iam sorry if your children do not ask for advise in their household,do not interfere. I have the feeling his now ex wife want a divorce not nessarry because of him but of his mother. Being a mama boy is fine but there is boundary that grandparents needs to respect. Plus a good husband needs to make a boundaries for his own parents for his own family sake.
From my observation Yelhee seems to want a romantic and passionate love story which resembles me when I was in my early twenties and her husband seems to prefer slow paced husband and wife relationships which is resembling me now when l am late twenties that why they seems different yelhee because she is young and her husband because he is mature so l can’t blame any of them
But the mother in law seems to be a caring person and young age doesn’t like someone who middle in their life which l understand but to find a caring mother in law is rare for me personally l would prefer this kind of mother in law but l understand people are different and as I said l like both yelhee and the mother in low
Watch the old episode ros or mr. house husband to see the conversation between yulhee, mother in law and minhwan. Then watch happy together, to get a clear sight that since beginning Minhwan's family give hard time to Yulhee. Soon you will understand this mother in law interfere too much in his son marriage, dominan, and not respect the mother of 3. If you ever raised kids, then having someone criticism your parenting style, and have no one support you, you can fall down into frustration. It doesn't have any connection between age and ideal form of love that you mention before. Raising kids is hard, even for me in my late thirties with the full support of my husband. Do not underestimated the intervention effect of someone in the house hold.
What I am hearing that Mother in law said her son can do no wrong n the only thing hurts her is the divorce, because it ruined the perfect image of her son....
