My immediate response to this is "Are we rendering ourselves obsolete?" Is UX transitioning into a "Product Generalist" or "Advanced Knowledge Worker" role? What is stopping large (and small) enterprises from removing UX designers altogether by enabling Product Mangers, Senior VPs and other non-designers from simply prompting their way through the product development process? If we are feeding the system our knowledge, aren't we rendering ourselves obsolete as we stand today?
