Hi Matt, if you are still struggling with the parabolic leafs being noisy then I have the solution for you. To fix it, you loosen the saddle brackets retaining bolt/nut on the leafs front and rear and add a 2nd lock nut, to keep it all in place. I had some horrible squeaking on mine, tried grease, no go. What I did notice was that the little plastic sleeve has almost been destroyed. Then I noticed the saddle ends were pulled together. So this arvo I added a 2nd locking nut, loosed the original nut as much as I could and then locked the two nuts together and after that, no noise from the leaves. Bloody win!
We are being flogged here with strong winds lately on the East Coast as well. Late September in Evans Head we had strong gusts that nearly recked the tied down awning on the van.
Awesome guys - what a trip. We just got back today from 8 nights camping on the coral coast (coral bay to exmouth). Also loved south lefroy and the snorkelling.
Hey peeps...been following your whole journey from HIlux to 40s to 70s... Windy season...check the indigenous seasons...generally September to November are the transitional currents. Can be beautiful or could be windy...hit n miss during that time up the west coast...especially around Capricorn. Luv the informative exploration. Don't work too hard...Enjoy.
Hi Guys, the road to Yardie Creek- could I do that with a with small camper trailer? DOT Style. Any info would be super helpful_ OO and How Far in advance did u book sites for the station stays / Do they allow u to boook actual sites or is it first in ?? Happy travels... Production of your content is kickin it! Well done to u both. Cheers J
I wanna hit myself for missed out on this part. We were at Ningaloo Coast, too, but we didn't camp at any of the stations you guys camped. We crossed the dried Yadis Creek with our caravan, but from Cape Ranges NP tho. So we missed out on Charles Knife gorges 😭
I'm always amazed councils want an $8 fee so you can park overnight , but they haven't supplied anything for you there it's just like nothing there apart from a nice view is that the charge paying for the view if so what happens when the weather is nasty and got no veiws is it for free then 😁 and the council is hiring out portable pottys that's yucky poos mate how disgusting and folks just empty them in the bush you need to dig a big hole to hide 20litres off poo , far out to take it back clean then and get ya deposit back 😅
Amazing part of WA, but yeah wind plays a big part, but when the wind is down it doesn't get much better.
Holly & Matt thanks for the video 👍👍

They need to check out the composting loos. They are so much better and easier. No dump points. Lots of info in UA-cam.
@@johneller5856 ok so you empty ya hired portable loo into a designated composting loo site that sounds better
Complains about the wind the other side of the dune. But wants to camp on the beach?
I wasn’t talking about the beach specifically, just WA in general.
